I've had the same barber since 1996 but sad to say she retired earlier this year leaving me to look for a new place. Did my research online looking at reviews of local places both on fb and yelp. I narrowed my search down to two options and the first place that I went to unfortunately was closed for the day and that's when I went to Su's and I'm glad that I did. She asked me what I want and kept the conversation to a minimum only asking me about the haircut itself. She was very tentative and took her time in cutting my hair. I love keeping my cut fresh so I frequent this establishment on a weekly basis. Compared to other barber shops I've visited, Su is exceptionally talented at what she does and I highly recommend her services for those looking for a high quality hair cut. With Su being the only barber, the only downside is that you may find yourself waiting in line for a while. On more than one occasion, I've come more than 30 minutes prior to the shop opening and there were already 2-3 gentlemen in front of me. Great haircut, fast and exactly what I wanted (simple taper and finger length). She even shaved the back of my neck with a straight blade and applied a warm towel, which was very nice. She also puts a power massager on your back for a minute or two which was unexpected but welcomed. Decent price at $15 for cuts other than buzz/crew cuts, which are cheaper. New to the area so first time in search of a senior-friendly barber. Su did a sufficient job for what was there and included, as an option, electric back massage and neck massage. Both are free options. She is experienced, knows her business, not trendy or too talkative, and, unlike some places, wants repeat business thererafter! Good start, will try again. read more

I highly recommend Su's Barber Shop in South Hill/Puyallup! Su is one heck of a Barber. She gives a great fade, cuts your hair with great attention, and does it all with fun and positive energy! She has no problem cutting your hair the way you want it cut... in fact today she suggested I hold the mirror and point out to her any spots I wanted to have changed. We all know those Barbers who are cranky and refuse to make adjustments, etc... Su is not that kind of Barber, at all! She will not let you leave until you are satisfied and makes that a point! Afterwords, she uses warm shaving cream and a flat razor to line up all the edges, and a warm towel to clean everything up. She charges $15.00 for her Men's Cuts, but I reccomend you tip her at least $5.00... I usually do $7.00. All together for $22.00, you won't find a better Barber anywhere around! read more

Stopped in to get my two boys simple haircuts the other day and had no problems. We awaited probably 10 min while she finished another man. She did exactly what I had asked. She was very sweet with my boys ( twin 3 year olds). Cost was average for kids cuts. Nothing fancy here just simple in and out type place. read more

I usually cut my own hair using Wahl with several comb attachments but I got tired of plain boring style. I just moved into the area and there are many barber shops to choose from. So I picked the one closer to home, easy in and out, and closer to Starbucks. Su's Barber Shop is it. I showed her picture of the hair I wanted, a short tapered sides with long top. Su have done it perfectly. When she finished up, she'd treated me with a warm towel and message afterward. Reasonable priced - assumed alike other independent owned barber shops - but I am generous tipper. I will go to her again when I feel like I need the style again. I have been getting my haircut by Sue every two weeks ever since October '14. She does a great job. I had been searching for a barber for a long time but now days they are just hair cut shops. We have been going to Su's since it opened and I can honestly say that after our experience there today we will NOT BE BACK...I have 3 boys and work for the community and will NOT refer anyone their way... I am beyond upset because my son walks in they wake up an elderly man and he proceeded to cut my son's hair WHILE ASKING HIM WHAT HE WANTED... that was NOT what he wanted at all!!!! On top of that then does a HORRIBLE job... my son went in for an edge up ONLY!!!!...I tried calling the store and the mailbox is full and doesn't even ring... this is just gone down hill so fast... PLEASE save your money and find another spot!!!! read more
