This building used to be cared for and the tenants used to be treated like people, until unitiiPM purchased in July. The parking lot has not been cleared of snow at all in the entire winter season. The amount of ice is incredibly dangerous and has been a barrier for many of the residents. There have been locks broken and not fixed for days. Suddenly, packages are going missing constantly. The property is not being cleaned at a noticeable frequency. The building manager(s) do not a give any care for the tenants nor treat them in a respectable manner. Complaints go unheard. My partner and I had planned to stay here long term. We had built a home here, as so many of the other residents in our building have. 2 weeks after my partner complains to the head office about the parking lot accessibility issues, we received a notice of non-renewal for our lease. We will now be leaving a place we once loved that has turned to absolute crap since this building management company purchased the building. unitiiPM, please remember that the places you are managing are people's HOMES. not just a place where you are making money.

He called me and said…read morehe already saw my property online, not sure how he saw it since it wasn't listed, and said I was way overpriced since there was a " former show home" in SECORD ( which is a bad area ) that's similar to my property and that's why I should list mine for 522;000. Never mind that my house is an estate house, bigger, way more amenities, has a heated floor basement, 6 zone heating, A/C, engineered hardwood floors, private backyard, in a cul de sac, and plus I just finished renovating it so it's white and grey. All granite throughout oversized garage, I could go on and on. BUT NO, THE FORMER SHOWHOME IN SECORD THAT HAS NO AMENITIES, NOT WALKING DISTANCE TO SCHOOLS OR ANYTHING, NO BASEMENT, NOTHING is listed for 522,000 so that's what mine is worth. I was astounded at this mans RUDENESS to me and his unwillingness to even come out to see my house. Go with this man if you want to work with a low baller crook, who undermines your property and has no respect for you. HE DID NOT EVEN SEE MY HOUSE!!!!!

This Real Estate Agent is a tool. He was representing a seller whom I purchased a Condo from and…read morerefused to give me an actual key upon taking possession. He was extremely rude over the phone and highly unprofessional. Definitely suffered from business short-sightedness as I will not use him for buying or selling in the future, nor will I recommend him to friends and family. There are plenty of Realtors out there just search here on yelp for those with good reviews ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20/09/2013 - Update to address Realtor's comment below: - Your seller did not agree to my best offer for furnishings then changed his mind on possession date after I had already purchased furniture. I had every right to refuse this last minute none-sense proposition. Also, It is your job as a realtor to relay information between me and the seller, you get paid to do this, it is a part of your job description, you cant possibly expect a pat on the back for actually doing what you get paid to do? - Please do not make false claims regarding the lock being keyless, it was a regular lock with a keyhole and a battery operated number pad. You including just a pin code for the key release was highly unprofessional and quite unacceptable by any standard, even other realtors from your own office agreed to this while I was waiting at the secretary desk. I am sure you know that batteries die jakie, and when that happens, and there is no physical key to unlock the door, things can get quite horrid. I ended up replacing the lock myself which costed about $200 dollars. If you are serious about making things right like you claim, you can start by reimbursing that cost and I would be more than happy to post an update to this effect. Also, you did not provide the stairwell key which I had to get cut from the condo association for a fee. I hoped that you would have posted a simple honest apology but all you presented was reassigning of blame and a case of failure of taking responsibility. I hope that you can learn from this experience and better yourself as a realtor and also as an individual. Lastly, I wanted to apologize for the name calling in my initial review, I was quite displeased when I wrote that as anyone would have been in my situation. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 03/10/2013 - Update to address Realtor's comment below: -The bank did not agree to add the furniture to the deal because they felt that it didn't add value to the property. I made your client a very reasonable cash offer which he initially declined then later agreed to on closing day, after I had already purchased furniture. No one asked for you to represent me Jackie. However, it was your responsibility to relay information to your client. I'll agree with you that my realtor was semi-useless but dealing with me instead of him on some occasions did not mean that you were representing me. - I know you're trying to save your reputation but if you're going to make false claims to accomplish that, at least make sure they're reasonable. I chat with tenants all the time and they regularly use keys to unlock their doors as oppose to using the number pad because it saves the battery on their locks, what you are claiming is completely false. I went ahead and purchased the same lock because it cost the same as re-keying the existing lock and it came with two keys! I am not sure why your client didn't provide you with a key but you should not have allowed him to get away with this for the sake of protecting his reputation, and yours. -My agent paid a portion of my legal fees as part of an agreement that me and him had when initially deciding to work together. This had nothing to do with you or the key. There is no documented proof, the battery in the lock simply died and I had no key to unlock the door with. Luckily, someone was inside so they helped unlock the door otherwise I would have had to tear it down. I bought the lock from the home depot and changed it myself. The $200 covers the cost of the lock, no labour. I am a reasonable person so that was all I asked of you. You should be getting an E-mail from me soon in regards to this. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 06/02/2014 - FINAL UPDATE Contrary to what this realtor wrote below about making things right and covering the cost of the lock, in the end he did not provide any compensation. He wasted my time by getting me involved in a pointless exchange of emails, after which he "changed his mind". I am sure that his intentions were always to make it look like he was doing the right thing without actually doing it but I thought I would give him the benefit of the doubt. Anyways here you have the final verdict, I hope that this helps someone.

Our unit had been on the market for a year prior, we took a short break due to the stress of it all, and bit the bullet and relisted - this time with Jakie. Jakie was very quick to respond and meet with us. He came to our home and explained the process, he was honest and direct about what steps we would need to take to sell our home. We really appreciated hearing things that we had not heard about our condo before (specifically, little things that we needed to do to make our condo more appealing), so we knew we were in good hands. We got to work, and eventually made the decision to list with Jakie - throughout the whole experience, he was responsive to our questions, efficient, and professional - providing insight and knowledge along the way. There was never a time throughout the process that we felt ignored. It is very clear that client care is important to Jakie, and the ability to read clients and provide them with solutions to their problems is an valuable and rare skill - Jakie understands this, and posesses this skill. Despite the covid pandemic and slower market, Jakie ended up selling our condo in a matter of a couple of months, I am still a bit shocked at how fast everything went as I type this. From the first meeting, to the negotiation process, to the end of condition removal, it has been a pleasure to have an expert like Jakie on our side. If you are looking for someone who is honest, professional and capable - someone who will explain the process to you from start to finish, and make sure that everything goes smoothly throughout, then I highly recommend Jakie Ng.

For the three days that we were in Edmonton for our house hunting trip, Patti spent most of that time in constant touch with us. We gave her the profile of the areas and homes we were looking for in advance, and she compiled a number that fit our criteria - and then deftly changed directions when we changed some of those criteria while here. We ended up purchasing a new infill in Old Strathcona and worked tirelessly on our behalf despite having to declare a conflict (her brokerage also represented the builder). When she found out that there were a couple of items not completely finished by our closing date, she worked all day to ensure they were taken care of so the house was move-in ready (as we'd been living in a hotel with pets for a couple of days prior to closing, we REALLY wanted to be in our new place on time). The whole time she was very professional. This was our third time using a Realtor and the previous time when we purchased our house in Halifax was in complete contrast to Patti (the Halifax agent was a very poor experience). Patti made the purchase as smooth as possible, and allowed us to focus our thoughts on other aspects of the move. We'd highly recommend her to anyone looking for a new home - particularly those in central Edmonton.

Things were moved in our house and weren't put back, she complained to our landlord about our lawn (which we mow regularly but has dandelions in the summer), she ignored our instruction to leave one of the rooms alone during a cleaning as our puppy was in there (I came home to take him out and the door was open), they scheduled viewings at times that didn't work for us despite my informing them of availability and when I let her know that didn't work and that I had already told them of this, she insulted the kennel that my puppy is in when I'm not in the house (which is perfectly acceptable for his size as he's not fully house trained yet). I have never experience such a level of unprofessionalism and would not recommend her. Can't speak for any of the other realtor's at the company.
