If you're someone who values quantity over quality, this place might work for you. The portions are definitely generous. But for me, the quality just didn't quite match up. The salmon nigiri in particular was disappointing. When you bite into it, the texture is pretty tough, and there's a stringy, almost membranous feel to it that makes it less enjoyable. It doesn't really feel like sushi-grade fish, which was a letdown given how large the pieces are. It's huge pieces of nigiri yayy But is it good? noooo That said, the seared salmon is noticeably better. Cooking it slightly helps with the texture and overall flavor, and it ends up being the safer and more enjoyable option here. Also the lady gave me 2 soy sauce packets for like 3 trays of nigiri and then was mad at me for asking for 2 more? hellur I just spent $70+ here pass me some more soy sauce packets pleasee Overall, big portions but I'd personally stick to the seared items if I ever came back.

Drove from Portland to try these massive sushi pieces. I would say I love how big these are but it was a lot of rice and not a lot of flavor. I did enjoy the eel and rice. It was not a quick pick up but the ordering process and text was very convenient. Definitely a takeout order only place. Hard to eat in the car unless you're set up for it.

    * Tiktok Viral Place * So this place was blowing up on TikTok, and I think it is worth the hype! The salmon slices were HUGE. When I say huge, I mean thick, generous pieces. The salmon melts in your mouth with each bite, and because the salmon slices are so thick, the top is seared and smoky, but the inside is still soft and buttery. It isn't anything crazy, but I would say it is worth the hype. + Disclaimer: Due to the place going viral their hours are a bit weird, but it is a small business so please be understanding! We came here 20 minutes after opening and they had to close for about 2 hours to catch up with orders. Our order took about 45 minutes to be done. I would suggest calling in or come with an open mindset.

Cute little place in Lynwood. They have take-out only and you order at a kiosk when you enter. Then you wait until it's ready (at 1:30 I waited 15 minutes) and pick up inside. The salmon nigiri is definitely huge but not the best quality. Each piece needs at least two bites but most of the fish wasn't tender enough to bite through. I had to grind my teeth and pull it with my hands to get a bite off. I'm glad I had a chance to try it but I probably won't be back for the price.

Huge sushi rolls.. order & you will be surprised. I heard that the wait can be 45 minutes, my food was ready in 15.

Good but very overhyped. I saw there was no one at 12:10pm and decided to just chill outside but it was freezing cold, but some people actually arrived way sooner but just chill in their car, but they were fine with me setting the line since I braved the cold to start the line. While the place says they open at 12:30pm, they didn't open until 12:38pm. As the first one in line, I ordered and they said 15 min as the food is made to order. I didn't get a text but rather a call which was immediately hung up so if you get that around the estimated timeframe, then your order is likely ready. I got the seared salmon nigiri ($23.99 now, they raised the price quite a lot) and the sexy roll ($20.99). Somehow after taxes it came out to $49.50 and I was confused how I was overcharged but they have a hidden 4% credit card transaction fee, yikes. For 2 items this price is very steep but also it somewhat makes sense because the portions are huge. The 2 orders were good for 3 people for a satisfying meal. The seared salmon nigiri is super huge and the premise of what made this place suddenly so popular from the viral reels. I think it was decent but the appeal is that it's huge. The amount of rice was sufficient for something so huge. The salmon was fresh. The sexy roll is mostly tuna - fresh tuna on top, spicy tuna inside. It had a nice Korean-inspired flavor and it was also similarly huge and packed with ingredients. Honestly, while I enjoy it for the uniqueness of being huge, I strongly prefer smaller rolls for a lower price so I can try more things and not be overwhelmed by all the ingredients. What shocked me was that 18 minutes into opening, they're closed for a while since there were too many orders. So either go super early or chance and brave rush hour traffic and go later to score this. This is a one and done - way too overhyped and it wasn't really that good for the price I am paying.

more wait, so be prepared if you don't come early

8/10 Takes time to wait for this takeout sushi The nirigis we got were over $20, but they were huge pieces.. I liked the salmon nigiri over the seared ones we got.. big tender slices of salmon with a bunch of rice was it worth it? I say just once in a lifetime for me.. waited in line for like 35 minutes and then another hour, so we went shopping and came back and finally ate like freakin' near 2 hours later Takeout only

We arrived at around 5pm on a Saturday and only had to wait 30min for our order. We thought the nigiris were great, but nothing too special. I ate 2 before getting flavor fatigued due to the size and amount of fish/rice. Contrary to other reviews I thought the fish to rice ratio wasn't bad. I also noticed it doesn't come with wasabi or ginger...looks like they're charging for those now unfortunately. Sushi blue is a long drive for me, so I wouldn't go out of my way for this. If you happen to be in the area I'd recommend giving this place a try.

Ooooohhhhh myyyyy word!!! Y'all the social media hype is realllll! Sushi blue just blew my mind. If you're on social media you know how much hype there is around this restaurant but we wanted to try it for our selves. And wow what an experience. We tried 3 different rolls. THIS SUSHI ISSSS SOOOO FRESH!!! Let me tell you! It's buttery and soft and so flavorful. We had the salmon nigiri, sexy roll (yes you read that right lol) and the smoked salmon roll. Hard to pick a favorite. I gave this a 4 star review only because our salmon had a tendon in it so it wasn't completely enjoyable the way we hoped. Though all in all we would definitely come back! But would order less because these servings are freakishly generous lol. Come give them a try but expect to stand in line and make sure you get there before they sell out!

Definite 10/10!!! The portions are absurdly huge which is fantastic since we ate 2 meals with what we ordered! The fish is fresh and super tasty. I love that they set good expectations on wait time and closed the doors when they got too many orders. Knowing their capabilities and business fundamentals is key to being a good business. There is no indoor seating to dine in so do not expect that. Everything is to go and order at the door!

I'm glad that I got to try Sushi Blue at least once. Came a couple of times but each time it was either super busy or wait was long. There's really only one person that's there so understandable they can only do so much due to the viral media demand. Fish was decent quality and portion sizes are pretty huge. Rice quality was just ok. It'd be really great if the rice tasted more like vinegary sushi rice. Sizes are more of a novelty and the pieces are really too large to truly enjoy for me personally. But glad they're doing awesome business-wise. Seared salmon rolls were the best tasting ones, in my opinion. I might not go back anytime soon, mainly because I don't live close and the wait is a bit long (maybe 1 hour or so), but I'd give them a 4 star rating though.

Honestly Sushi Blue is a bit overhyped, mainly because of the size of the nigiri pieces. I've been wanting to take out Sushi Blue because it was trending on TikTok for a while and after trying it, it is not somewhere I would consistently go to. I love that the nigiri is pretty big. I think we got a container for seared salmon and the other was regular salmon, but in general it was so hard to eat. The fish to rice ratio was pretty drastic and you ended eating more rice than fish. Other than that, it took quite a bit maybe like an hour for the sushi to be ready. Reminder that there is one person making these and it is just take-out too. We spent our time shopping at Fred Meyers while we were waiting on the sushi. I still think it's a pretty good deal, just know what you're waiting for and how long you would be waiting.

Located in Alderwood Plaza, there's plenty of parking nearby within walking distance…read more I'd say Sushi Hana is one of my favorite conveyor-belt sushi spots in the Lynnwood area. I usually come here 2-3 times a year when I'm craving "fast" sushi. Since they've been open, I haven't had a bad experience or poor-quality food. If there's one small drawback, it's that some staff (not all) aren't always attentive with things like water refills. That said, service here is fairly minimal by design--staff mainly help with drink refills, clearing plates, and bringing out items that the conveyor or robot can't deliver. The ambiance is fast-paced and casual. You order from a tablet, and your food arrives via conveyor belt to your table. Most diners aren't here longer than 1-2 hours. It can get a bit loud due to close seating and the conveyor/robot activity, but it's nothing that takes away from the overall experience. As long as the food and service stay consistent, I'll keep coming back whenever I'm in the mood for quick, convenient sushi. TL;DR: Reliable spot for quick, good sushi with a fun conveyor setup. Service is minimal and can be hit or miss, but the food keeps me coming back.

It's definitely not the best sushi in the world (I would give that between 3 to 5 stars depending on the item), but the convenience and value just can't be beat, hence the 5 stars. Also, I take people with kids here because the entertainment value is so high with the water delivery robot and the automatic track delivery system. It's a fun ambiance - like we're living in the future. My favorites are the seared garlic salmon, the french roll, and the negi hama roll. For the hot foods, it's hands down the oden udon and the chicken katsu donburi. Definitely highly recommended.

I cannot give this fine restaurant enough stars. I've been frequenting Ryu Nakano's sushi…read morerestaurants for many years and it's some of the best sushi I've ever had. We reserve well in advance and mostly sit at the sushi bar. The space is on the smaller side but I've seen hopeful walk-ins be seated (I've also seen many turned away--I suggest reservations.) Service has always been stellar. We normally enjoy a salmon flight, a tuna flight, the kelp-cured scallops (must be ordered in advance) and whatever else strikes our fancy or Nakano-San recommends. It's always spectacular! I find the nigiri to be just about perfect--just enough rice to offset the fresh taste of the fish. There is plenty on the menu beyond sushi but we admit to coming here for one reason only so I can't speak to much else (although the green salad is very nice, as is dessert.) Plenty of wine, cocktail and sake options. I remember the many years we didn't have a sushi restaurant in downtown Edmonds so I never take an evening here for granted. We are fortunate to have Nakano-San as a part of our community. Check it out if you haven't yet, and enjoy!

I would say that many parts lived up to the high praises while others did not unfortunately :( The service was amazing! The staff were very attentive and kind. We were seated quickly and were not left waiting long for any part of our dinning experience which was very nice. We both got 2 portions of the 11 piece omakase ($53) and the great pacific northwest roll ($20) to share. The omakase offered good variety and came with an explanation of each cut of fish which was nice. We both enjoyed everything just fine but were left a little disappointed with the quality. Because of all the great reviews and the price point, I think we just were expecting to enjoy our meal much more than we did. The fish quality was not poor by any means but just not that good. The roll also lacked a bit of flavor as well :( I don't know if we just went on an off night or not, and I am hopeful that might be true. The ambiance was nice and balanced, the tables were spaced apart well, making the hum of the restaurant nice but not too much. I don't think we would be back due to the overall quality of our meal but it think it is worth a stop if you are craving sushi in the area.
