The restaurant was completely empty, so I figured it would be a good time to check it out. When I walked in, the person behind the register was bent over working on something. He didn't acknowledge me when I entered, which I let slide. I politely asked whether I should order at the kiosk or through him since I wanted to know what their most popular roll was. He clicked something on the screen without making eye contact, and the interaction felt very dismissive. When I asked what the most popular roll was, he answered "Lion King," but the way he said it, short, no eye contact my whole visit, no interest in helping, made it clear he wasn't trying to engage with me as a customer. His tone and body language made me feel like I was bothering him or interrupting him, even though the restaurant had no other customers. The whole interaction gave the impression that they were pushing customers away rather than welcoming them. Because of the attitude and lack of basic customer service, I decided not to place an order and left. I was genuinely interested in trying their food, but no one has to settle for being treated that way. I hope they improve the customer experience going forward. read more

Never tried this place before and since I was in the area I decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did. For a typical to go place, the sushi was well made. It was nice a firmly pressed, nothing was falling out. It looked like they cared what the sushi looked like which is a nice change for a fast food place which is usually rushing to get the orders filled and not caring what it looks like. Not only did the sushi look good but tasted great too. I ordered the rainbow roll and the KK combo and they did not disappoint. Everything was fresh, especially the fish on top of my rainbow roll. I decided to give them a try, as I was hungry and studying in the area, and I also enjoyed the San Leandro location - I am not sure if they are the affiliated with that particular location. I ordered the Honey Box again, which comes with 4 pieces of nigiri (2 pieces of salmon and 2 pieces of shrimp), 4 pieces of salmon sashimi, and 8 pieces of California roll. Due to an allergy, I asked the employee on the phone for a substitution for the shrimp nigiri and he substituted it for salmon nigiri instead, which I appreciated. My order was ready within 5 - 8 minutes, which was pretty quick as well. The California roll at this location tasted fresh, while their salmon nigiri and sashimi did not, as it was on the fishier side. A good place if you want quick sushi to eat at home. I first found them through UberEats and wanted to check it out. Their box combos are the best deals to get at this place! It comes with very neat packaging and a reusable tote bag. My favorite roll was the Shrimp Tempura roll because it the tempura was flavorful and was still crunchy when I received it. I rate Sushi GoGo 3 stars since the sushi wasn't that great in terms of quality and freshness. Since it it grab-and-go, it does taste like the rolls have been sitting out, especially since the rice felt a bit stale in terms of sitting in the refrigerator for too long. It's actually pretty crazy the amount of times I walked by this restaurant and never went inside. There's a limited amount of choices when it comes to the menu but I was able to find the perfect combo box that was all cooked sushi. If you're not a fan of raw sushi then the Kk Combo box is for you. The sushi was okay for the price and they were able to prepare it in around 5 minutes after the order was placed. Ordering was contactless. You are able to order at a digital machine. They only have salmon and some cooked rolls. I don't mind a limited menu, but I do mind paying for pricey bad sushi. The salmon had no taste. The rice was the worst part... It was bland with no vinegar or salt. Definitely not Japanese short grain sushi rice... I'm sure it was a cheap quality rice also. It was like they expected you to douse your sushi in soy sauce and wasabi. I like to eat sushi on its own to taste the fish, but this time I had to open a packet of soy sauce. Also, cheap soy sauce. It was super sweet and didn't have that soy sauce flavor. At the end of the day, this place offers up cheap food with cheap ingredients, but they don't charge a cheap price. Also, their bathroom ran out of hand soap and I saw one of the workers go in there to use it, but not refill the soap. Yuck. Don't think I'll be returning.
