Sushi House in Prince Albert opened today!! What an exciting day for food in litlle old P.A. After living in Vancouver and Edmonton for the last 8 or 9 years I was really, reallly starting to miss my beloved sushi haunts. I can safely say Sushi House is filling that gap. I can see many nights in my near future enjoying some lovely rolls and the likes. I can see the Roughrider roll being a big hit in town, delicious tempura salmon roll with a sweet spicy sauce. Considering we are in a land locked province the fish is pretty good. The yakisoba was very tasty as well for a hot dish, lots of veggies and caramelized chicken, a perfect dish for a dining partner who does not care for sushi delights. Considering today was opening day the service was great and the staff are very friendly and always have beautiful smiles on there faces. A must try in P.A. read more

I eat sushi, this is pretty poor sushi. HOWEVER: it is the only sushi in Prince Albert, making it moderately acceptable to eat. The sushi rolls were really poorly done (ie they were poorly rolled). Furthermore they had VERY little filling, and next to no wasabi or ginger (for 4 rolls we literally got a pinch of both, it sort of made one wonder why they even bothered to give any at all). Overall: a pretty major disappointment, as I eat sushi and am happy that I am only visiting Prince Albert and can look forward to good sushi again in the not too distant future. people: if you've never tried sushi before, don't think this is good. read more

Are you kidding me!?!...Where did you eat on the "Eastside" in Vancouver!?!...Kiso Island Sushi!?! This is the worst sushi I have EVER had...and my friend owned a $.99 Roll place in Maple Ridge (JUNK sushi to start with) and would bring the leftovers from the lunch rush to get-togethers at 8 or 9 PM and it was STILL BETTER that the garbage they are trying to pawn off on the poor people of Prince Albert. What's with the: ........sweet(?)soya sauce, cinnamon in the tempura?, fake wasabi, watery miso, warm smelly sashimi, cold gummy stale rice....? Do yourself a favour...try Burger & Bento in Melfort...and do Prince Albert a favour, stop telling them this sushi is good, OK Jenny H? read more

I lived in Japan for 3 years so I was as close to the source as one can get. This is Korean Japanese food but it is well done. Nicely plated and presented, I've also tried out the Yakisoba, Tonkatsu, Udon and Bibimbap and I can say they taste right on (although korean sauce is sweeter than japanese sauce). This changes up the eating scene in PA positively, which is much much much needed. read more

Extremely disappointing experience. Sushi was poorly rolled, lacked quality ingredients and quantities thereof. For example, the primary filling for a veggie roll (the simplest of sushi to make average, at least) was iceberg lettuce, with minimal carrot shavings and cucumber, and no avocado. It tasted as bland as it sounds. All sushi obtained was extremely lacking flavor, ingredients, and technique. You are better off getting pre-made sushi from the grocery store. Also, was provided barely any wasabi and very watery soya sauce. read more

I'm giving it an A-OK because it's a wonderful change to the dull and redundant Prince Albert restaurant scene that I hope sticks around for a long time. That said, it is definitely modified to suit the palates of locals and virgin sushi-goers. While they have a number of fun maki combinations, their only raw fish offerings are salmon or tuna and a nigiri plate would consist of salmon, tuna, shrimp, eel, and crab (which is usually surimi/imitation crab, but consistent sushi restaurants elsewhere). My biggest gripe is their soy sauce, which I've never had at any Korean or Japenese restaurant EVER. It is watered-down with a combination of sugar and maybe vinegar. I've never seen it served with Sushi or Kimbap. So when it come to Sushi in Prince Albert, they are a welcomed addition to the city. And for my sushi cravings I choose either Sushi House or the sushi deli at Co-Op supermarket (which is surprisingly fresh and delicious). However, the upside to Sushi House versus Co-Op is that you can sit down, relax a little, and enjoy their fun and friendly sushi combinations. If you're a serious sushi Connoisseur you may be disappointed, but if it's all we have here in P.A. so please support them so they can stay. read more

Best Sushi on the prairies! Who knew! Crispy Tempura, PA Tower and Green Dragon are favorites! Definitely worth a visit!

Sushi in this city is so hard to find that is delicious. This is our regular place to go. I'm fussy so it's either the dinamite or the spicy dinamite roll. The tempura shrimp and Spring rolls are delicious. Waiting time to eat isn't that long, we usually call and pick up. Very basic decor in the restaurant. Hard to find if you are not from the city it's located by the bus depot. read more
