Sushi tacos

Love Sushi Jin. Ate here last minute at the sushi bar. The "tacos" are beautiful and delicious, each a scoop of fresh fish (salmon yuzo, tuna poke, hamachi and scallions) nestled between taco-shaped dried seaweed. I had the sushi-sashimi combo and the fish was pristinely fresh and so pretty. Split a shrimp tempura roll, which was good. Service great and friendly, definitely unrushed. Can't wait to return.

First time dining at Sushi Jin - and it won't be our last! I am ambivalent on giving out 5 stars which I rarely do. On the one hand I really don't want to let the secret out because it's not the biggest place so I am not sure they can handle many more customers, but they definitely deserve my endorsement as I am not sure what they could possibly have done better! Convenient parking at the church across the street, very nice ambiance, our server was Kevin was great, and most importantly we really enjoyed our meal! It was our anniversary and we were tempted to try their omakase, but we ended up going with their restaurant week prix fixe menu instead which included a cocktail, appetizer, entree and dessert. We ended up adding CA and Hokkaido uni sushi to top it all off - delicious! Everything was plated nicely , portions good and flavors awesome. Even the standard tuna roll was great which is surprising as I am usually not impressed with anything so basic. Next time, omakase.

I loved this new Westport restaurant! Great space with fun vibe! Amazing food. Loved everything we had: popcorn shrimp, crispy rice with tuna, seared sushi to peppers, Truffle King Salmon and two sushi rolls (forget which ones, but they were delicious and beautifully presented). Service was good even though we sat towards the back of the restaurant, which always worries me (out of sight, out of mind). I cannot wait to go again!!!

Had to come back, everything was fresh and delicious. Perfect for a night out or lunch in! Ambience feels like you're in nyc.

Checked out this new spot to see what their sushi was like! My husband got their omakase which he really enjoyed! I tried the hand rolls and the soup dumplings! The dumplings were the perfect amount of soup and meat and very flavorful! All the fish was very fresh! The restaurant is a pretty good size too and as our time went on there it got more and more packed! Staff is very friendly and we'll definitely be back to try something new next time!

There are meals that satiate, and there are meals that elevate -- Sushi Jin belongs firmly in the latter category. Tucked modestly into Westport, it is, in every sense, a culinary sanctum: a space where discipline, grace, and technique quietly converge in service of something far greater than mere dining. From the moment one crosses the threshold, there is an unmistakable feeling of entering a temple of craft. The interior, minimalist and serene, suggests an ethos of understatement, where the focus remains unwaveringly on the quality of the fish and the integrity of the preparation. What unfolds from the chef's hand is less a menu and more a narrative of balance: buttery Hokkaido scallop touched by yuzu; otoro so tender and marbled it verges on the transcendent. Each bite lands with precision and poise -- not merely flavorful, but emotionally uplifting. There is confidence in the restraint: no overwrought sauces, no gratuitous garnishes. Just simplicity and excellence. Service is equally refined: attentive, warm, and unhurried. It is a space where silence is allowed to speak, and where every detail -- from the temperature of the rice to the subtle grain of the ceramic dishware -- has been considered, not decorated. Sushi Jin is not about novelty. It is about fidelity -- to season, to heritage, to the hard discipline of sushi as it is meant to be practiced. In an age of noise, this restaurant whispers.

Not only is this one of the best sushi restaurants in the area but Sushi Jin is in the running for my favorite sushi spot of all time. Absolute amazing sushi with very good attention to detail. The omakase had good variation of flavors and amazing texture.

Better than I expected. The sweet shrimp and live scallop were very good. The uni was acceptable. Nice space and kid friendly. 3.5*

Ordered for pick up. 45 mins late in being ready. Totally unacceptable. Food is good but without customer service what's the point?

So... we traveled 1200 miles to have wonderful Chinese Food. The Aberdeen, located off the lobby…read moreof the White Plains Residence Inn, is known for its dim sum - which is excellent. However, the rest of the broad and deep menu is excellent as well. The rich Sweet Corn Chicken Soup is sweet, thick (but not gummy) and quite tasty. The pan fried dumplings were outstanding. They were perfectly cooked and well stuffed with minced pork and veggies. The Honey Walnut Shrimp were amazing - plump and perfectly dressed. Finally, the Sesame Chicken was amazing. Perfectly cooked but the best thing is that the chicken was moist, rich and flavorful. So, if we're ever back in White Plains, you know where we'll be dining.

After hearing so many positive things about Aberdeen Seafood & Dim Sum, I was expecting a standout…read moremeal, but I left disappointed. The food wasn't bad--it was simply mediocre and underwhelming. The biggest issue was that several dishes were underseasoned and lacked the bold flavors I expect from a good Cantonese restaurant. The Yang Chow fried rice was especially bland and needed more seasoning. The har gow and several of the dim sum items also fell short of expectations. The steamed spare ribs and beef chow fun were okay but nothing memorable. The salt and pepper shrimp was probably the highlight of the meal, but it wasn't unique or better than what I've had at many other Chinese restaurants. Overall, the food was decent, but considering the restaurant's reputation, I expected much more. I don't regret trying it, but I wouldn't make a special trip back.

Such a satisfying lunch--this place continues to impress…read more Ken recognized us immediately and welcomed us back--always a thoughtful touch. Service from Ken and Alex was attentive, seamless, and effortless throughout. The hot and sour soup with grilled shrimp was rich, comforting, and perfectly balanced with just the right kick. The half Peking duck--served with delicate pancakes and sauces on the side--was cooked perfectly, boneless, and absolutely delicious. I especially loved the crispy skin--so flavorful and satisfying. The Malaysian-style red curry with seasonal vegetables, roti, and grilled shrimp, served with brown rice, was equally flavorful and well executed. Prices reflect the quality--and it shows. Delicious food, warm service--we'll definitely be back.

We were four and mostly agreed we enjoyed the appetizers (especially the tri-color vegetable…read moredumplings and the crystal shrimp dumplings), but not so much the main courses (especially not the marinated grilled salmon and the Buddha's delight). Also, early on, we had a little service issue that was tacitly resolved in our favor. We only wanted to order appetizers at first and later order the main courses. The server told us words to the effect that they take the order for everything at the same time because if later the restaurant is packed, the kitchen gets overwhelmed, and, also, they bring out the food whenever it's ready. As requested, we gave her our order for everything, but ultimately she was able to just serve the appetizers first and then pause until we were done with them before she brought out the main courses. My wife wanted a sweet white wine with her fish, like a Mosel. The closest they said they had was a fruity white Riesling, called Selbach/Incline, which turned out to be very fruity and delicious!
