    Beef teriyaki
    Sienna G.

My family and I have been coming here for a few years. We've never had such bad experience until the past few times we went. This last time was "it" for me. I ordered the beef teriyaki like I usually do. When it first arrived-- it was soooo burnt! Like black. (I forgot to take a pic). Then, they sent it back to the kitchen & brought it back "fixed" (RAW!!). I was still charged for the bento box full price & asked they please just make me a sushi roll. They made the sushi (at no charge). But charged me for the bento box. Which was more expensive than the sushi itself. Wouldn't you rather pay the sushi price than the bento box dinner price if you didn't get to even eat it??? My family finished their whole meal before I got my food. THERE'S BETTER SUSHI PLACES!!! After years of patronage, we won't be back!

Service is superb and polite ... The food I had seems like it came from a cafeteria at the commissary . I ordered sesame chicken / veggie tempura bento box ,,, Horrible food , Small Portions The only flavor I was familiar was the old frying oil it tasted like ... Even the supposedly hot tea I ordered was served "warm " ... Noticing the food in Solano County seems to be depreciating slowly but surely .... Soooo Sad . $56 for Japanese cafeteria food !!!

Valentines lunch. Though we didn't order anything off their special valentines menu, the food was fresh and delicious as always.

I came here with my daughter. We were in the area and decided to drop in. Sushi King is located in a shopping area close to anytime fitness. When you walk in it is very cozy and inviting...a relaxing atmosphere. The staff is very friendly. As I looked over the menu it it was hard to decide what to get, they all sounded so good. We ended up ordering country girl roll which has Snow crab, avocado, and cucumber, tuna, salmon, sliced lemon, scallions, tobiko, and special sauce. It was amazing. The touch of lemon added just enough citrus...amazing salmon lover roll which included ....Salmon and avocado with seared salmon, salmon caviar, mustard soy sauce, and baby cilantro. I loved the seared salmon Yummy belly roll...it was absolutely delicious We also ordered some oysters...mmm They also have many appetizers. Soup, featured items. If you are a sushi lover...then give Sushi King a try. Not only do they present it beautifully ...it is also very delicious...

Fr was eating like (sushi) kings... My boyfriend and I decided to try this hidden gem as it is one of his favorite sushi spots in the area. Located in a busy plaza near Safeway & Crumbl, Sushi King holds a place where it could be easy to miss. The inside was so cozy! Definitely cute for date nights. I liked how there is a sushi bar and a lot of tables to attain for certain party sizes. Their menu had a nice variety with a good amount of special rolls, simple rolls, and even hand rolls. Prices were decent depending on kind of fish you got on your special roll, but was cheap when you got a simple roll that only had the fish. For instance, the Hamachi Lover was $24 while our sake maki was $9. Our rolls did take a minute to come out (15 minutes) even though it wasn't busy. Their gyoza was flaky and juicy. Lots of flavor. It was easily demolished within seconds and made us wish there was more! Their sake maki (6 pieces, salmon with seaweed outside) was super fresh and it literally melted in our mouths. The Hamachi Lover was a notable fav. The slight tanginess from the ponzu sauce paired with the yellowtail and sweet potato crunch on top was so decadent. Sweet potato crunch instead of tempura flakes is the new play for sure and who doesn't love a crunch. The dragon roll was randomly one of the best I've had. The unagi tasted like it was just cooked right before and didn't mush completely with the roll (a good sign). You can tell the shrimp tempura was also cooked beforehand as well. The roll remained slightly crunchy in every bite. Definitely would come back again -- alone or with him -- and try more of their food.

Slow Service, Nice food presentation [Fairfield CA] My daughter chose this restaurant for her birthday lunch so my Mom and I drove halfway to the Bay Area on her birthday to celebrate. This is her go to sushi place in Fairfield. Cozy dining room with a small sushi bar. When we arrived we were seated immediately. We were given menus. The restaurant was a bit busy and one server was running around taking care of the entire dining room. After about 15 mins another server came to take our orders. Then another 20 mins later our meals are being served... I can't say I was happy with that part of the dining experience. We ordered the following: Salmon Lover Roll Lion King Roll Crazy California Roll Bento Box - Beef Teriyaki and Mixed Tempura Bento Box - Chicken Teriyaki and Gyoza Unfortunately, the teriyaki beef on my bento box was not tender, a little on the tough side. The salad and the mixed tempura were delicious though. The miso soup had a generous amount of tofu. Everyone else enjoyed their sushi and bento meal. 3.5-Stars! Review #3685

    Enjoying sushi king

Sushi King isn't just a restaurant, it's where my taste buds signed a long-term lease and refused to move out. I walked in a regular human and left questioning if I should start a fan club for rice. The vibes are cozy-chaotic in the best way: like your cool friend's apartment if your cool friend also happened to be a sushi wizard with access to dangerously fresh fish. Chef Aaron is the undisputed **overlord** of the sushi bar. At this point I'm convinced he's less "chef" and more "seafood therapist" because every fish that ends up on my plate clearly died for a noble cause. He made me a custom roll that I did not deserve, and I'm still thinking about it like an ex that got away. The nigiri? Little pillows of happiness. The rolls? Architectural masterpieces that could probably get permits from the city. Every bite had me doing that subtle closed-eyes-head-tilt thing like I was in a dramatic food commercial. I tried to play it cool, but somewhere around bite three I caught myself whispering "oh my god" to a piece of tuna. Service was faster than my self-control. Water refilled, plates cleared, wasabi magically appearing just when I thought, "I could use a little more danger." The staff is friendly in that "we actually like you" way, not the "my manager is watching" way. If you sit at the bar, just tell Chef Aaron what you like and then surrender your life choices. He'll start handing you plates that make you say, "Okay, this is my new favorite," about seven times in a row. By the end I was ready to put him in my emergency contacts. 10/10 would recommend, 5/5 stars, 3/3 unbuttoned pant sizes. If you're still reading this instead of going to Sushi King and letting Chef Aaron change your life, that's a you problem.

Same great taste and service as always. Tried a couple of new rolls this time, and they didn't disappoint. Came in just before the evening rush. Until next time!

My favorite roll here is the Dragon roll. It's really a nice sized roll. It's the perfect balance of sweetness, crunch and umami. We tried the agedashi tofu. Next time I would ask them not to but bonito flakes on it, but that's just my personal preference. It was well fried and pillowy soft as well as crunchy. The sauce was really tasty. The salmon carpaccio was okay. Next time I would ask they not add the truffle oil. I felt like it took away from the flavor a bit. The radish micro greens were a nice spicy touch. We also tried a new roll this time, the climax roll. It was good. Spicy, sweet and crunchy. Again it was a nice sized roll. We love this spot and we come to eat here whenever we are in the area.

First, there is a menu where you can place orders with the staff for things like appetizers and drinks. We got some sodas and ordered items such as edamame, miso soup and grilled salmon teriyaki. Then in the center where the conveyor belt is, you can walk around to it and pick up plates that you want to try. It mostly seemed like nigiri and rolls that they were commonly making. In the center, the chef station is between the conveyor belt area and there you can order more specific items you want to try like a roll, sashimi or handrolls. We chose to order some different sashimi like salmon and yellowtail and handrolls like the spider and alaska. They also make a bunch of extra dishes that you can take off the shelf as well. We did the AYCE and I definitely got my money's worth. The service was courteous and prompt. The ambiance was typical for a K-BBQ spot- the open floor plan makes for a slightly louder place, but at least the music was not blasting so loudly that conversation was hindered. The menu has meat and other dishes that can be ordered a la carte, if all you can eat is not your thing. (Or if you don't want to have to grill your own meat.) We ordered: -Pork belly (regular, thin sliced, and soy garlic. All great, but the thin sliced has always been my favorite). -Marinated beef (tasty). -LA ribs (well marinated and not too salty). -Bulgogi and the Hawaiian bulgogi (the Hawaiian was good and I like the pineapple chunks to grill,, but preferred the regular because it was less sweet). -Shrimp (head and shell on, be prepared to peel and de-vein after grilling). -Marinated baby octopus (one of my son's favorite things he had there). Some highlights that will bring me back: -Sliced pickled radish to wrap the meat for a low carb option. -Glutinous rice paper to wrap the meat (nice and chewy texture, great touch to the marinated meat). -ALL of the banchan was spot on. Zingy kimchi, firm broccoli, not too sweet fishcakes, and seasoned bean sprouts were among our faves. -Last but not least, the crispy chicken wings. Crispy like Korean fried chicken should be with delicious sauces (we tried the sweet and spicy, and the soy garlic). Worth it to come back just for that. We will definitely be going back soon!
