As I was waiting for my lunch lots of people starting showing up and the place was suddenly packed. Several groups and couples all came in at once and there was a couple others coming in for take out. It took a while for my server to return which was understandable as how busy it suddenly became. My lunch was great. It was a very nice mix of different rolls, nigiri and a few pieces of sashimi. The added roll was also put on my plate as well. The quality of the rolls was very good as I would expect to see in a made to order a la carte type menu. The presentation was nice as well. I had only one tiny issue and it was I could have done with more than a pinch of wasabi. Besides that everything just right and I almost couldn't finish it all. The quality was very good and the prices were in line with what I was expecting. I enjoyed this lunch a lot and I would return.

With the negativity out of the way, they offer a vast menu with a lot of choices to choose from. From salmon to yellow-tail tuna, they got you covered. The spicy tuna maki is almost black and tastes bad. The rolls are terrible, filled with vegetables with no taste. The salmon was ok and the speciality rolls were ok. This place isn't cheap (Take-out for two: $40. Average back in Vancouver was $25-30), and the sushi was just ok. They cram their specialty rolls with vegetables instead of raw fish. And the "tempura" in their rolls is simply panko crumbs. At least they take credit cards! But I probably won't be returning with mine.

It was served with rice, cucumbers, greens, and more salty miso sauce on the side... The sushi rolls were decent, back in the day, spicy mayo was a nice touch but nowadays it's everywhere and used in too many rolls. The eel roll had see weed in it, which was different, except I'm not sure I liked it. All in all, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either... One mistake I made was not ordering the items on the menu that was marked specialty, maybe that would have been different, maybe next time... The menu is so extensive, I'm going to have to come back before I can make up my mind about this place. While it's well-rated on Yelp, Facebook and Google reviews are terrible. Angry reviewers mostly complained about the service and long delivery time, so I was mentally ready to wait at least 2 hours. I was pleasantly surprised when the delivery arrived after only one hour (which is actually not fast, I know). I was really satisfied with my order. I tried the spicy salmon, the spicy scallop, Volcano, Golden Gate and Special Itamea makis. There were generous amounts of fish and avocado- most sushi restaurants will try to cheap out by loading up on tempura, but not here. Only complaint was that one of the quail eggs on my Rising Sun nigiri broke during delivery. They should put the quail eggs separately in a small plastic container to avoid this problem. Overall though, for delivery on a Sunday night, it really hit the spot.

Here it was 20 pieces for $14.95? Am I in Vancouver with this pricing? No I'm in the east end! Sure 8 of those pieces were 4 tekka maki (cucumber) and 4 (avocado) but the rest were decent in size and quality! Speaking with the staff they were super friendly and so this is why I bumped it up half a star. Restaurant is not your fine dining sushi experience but for a quick sushi or takeout it's more than acceptable. In Montreal I have found the sushi of lower quality and hard to find anything excellent (that's not super expensive). Sushi Shop, Yuzu, Suhi Taxi and all the other chains bore the hell of me. I'd put this a leg up on those chains but cheaper!
