It's easy to believe: there were actual Japanese people dining there. The sushi was really good, tasty, fresh and yummy. Entourage is nice. Could be a little bit more special, but its homely. Dishes look really nice and professional. There is seating outside too, which is great with good weather! Serving staff is very nice but quite young, they still have some learning to keep looking around to do. Most of the times, they passed all the tables without making eye-contact, so visitors would have to shout to get their attention. And that's not necessary, since it's not a big restaurant, it's quite easy to keep looking to see who needs attention. The only thing you shouldn't be ordering is.. the sea urchin. I tried the sea urchin as a preparation for Japan... and it was disgusting! It's nothing to do with the restaurant, a friend of mine, big sushi lover, also told he found the taste of it quite horrible. Very bitter and salty. Ewwww. No. No no no. Chef Yamamoto serves gorgeous dishes, which he prepares front of house for all to see. His broth is delicious and the tofu was meltingly soft. His signature of 'Griet' fish done 3 ways is a revelation. The jelly is given texture by the addition of Griet roe, and the sashimi of the same fish is lightly cured and seasoned by being pressed in seaweed for 24h. Wonderful dish where everything just works. Price and quality are startling with various appetisers and immaculate dishes coming your way before finishing with a plate of generous sushi. Otoro tuna, Unagi etc. we'll crafted, with his rice being exceptional. The staff is sweet and friendly, and due to the fact that the small team is just starting, you get the feel of eating a surprisingly excellent meal in someone's sitting room. The food was delicious! We ordered the all you can eat sushi and some drinks. The selection was good, the sushi rolls came out fast and tasted great. The waiters were kind. I had a chance to speak with the owner following the meal. He was a very nice guy. When I'm back in the Netherlands, I will definitely go again. 4 stars.

We only had a few small plates, but what we had was fresh, well prepared and as good or better than any Sushi/dumplings/rolls we've had.
