We had came on a Saturday but got there right when they open for Lunch. There were people already waiting there to get in. Luckily we were the 2 in line to get in and be seated. We ordered: Chicken karaage: 3/5 chicken was juicy but the batter was grainy and wasn't as crispy. Sauce had yuzu and was so good. Tuna cripsy rice: 3/5 rice was crispy but I felt there was something missing from this dish to tie everything together. Like a sauce or something. It didn't taste the same as the first time we had it here. Alaskan roll: 5/5 the roll is out of this world! So good and I'm in love! Fresh fish and it just melts in your mouth We got another troll with shrimp tempura in it but I forgot that it is called. 4/5: it was tasty Chira don:5/5 that was the highlight of our dining experience. It was the best bowl I have ever had in my life. Even better than the ones in Japan that we had. Sooo good and I will definitely come back for this dish again. Miso soup: 4/5 it was good and decent. Broth is flavorful. Wish there was more tofu in it and seaweed. Salmon nigiri: 5/5: melt in your mouth Blue fin tuna: 4/5: fresh Yellowtail: 5/5 so good and melt in your mouth Scallop nigiri 3/5 it was not the same as what we had before. Scallop was cut thin and we were disappointed. What I didn't appreciate was one of the waiter that brought our food out made the comment "that's a lot of food." Which is seriously one of my pet peeves to say to a customer especially we had intentionally ordered a lot so we can bring home left overs to eat later. If we are paying for it why the need to be rude and make that comment. It's not like we left the food there and wasted food. It's an unnecessary comment that isn't appreciated by customers. Do I recommend this place? Yes for some dishes but the comment about "that's a lot of food" as the waiter put dishes down... has honestly made me felt uncomfortable to come back. Wow! Sushi Yume is precisely what I needed! We saw all of the great reviews, so we decided to go check it out, and we are so glad we did! I was hoping it would be good, but the food here exceeded my expectations! Food: we loved everything we ordered! The rice in the sushi rolls and Chirashi Don was perfect! Unlike many other places, it was light and airy. Service: extremely friendly and attentive staff. Just wow! Absolutely blown away by the menu and the quality of each dish. They don't take reservations so it's first come first serve. The service was top notch and I've only felt this amazed by sushi in Texas since having Uchiko's p38 roll for the first time many years ago. The double salmon roll is dreamworthy. But it's worth the wait in my opinion cause they have really great portions for the prices. The shop is inviting and welcoming but it's a bit intimate if you're looking for a larger space. Located in this random strip center is this hidden gem serving the best sushi in Round Rock area. It's pretty small and cozy inside so expect a wait if you're coming for dinner or make a reservation (they set aside a few tables per night and the rest are for walk ins). We ordered the chef special 10 piece nigiri set ($45) and I was pleasantly surprised how delicious and delicate each piece of fish was. The salmon with blue crab carpaccio was good but wouldn't order it again not sure if the crab overpowered the salmon. We also ordered the baked lobster roll and that in its self could have been an entree. Excited to come back and try more of the menu. read more

We arrived around 6:15 on a Friday and the restaurant was full with an estimated one hour wait. They do take reservations, so I recommend calling and making a reservation. I did notice that around 7:45 the people arriving were seated immediately. The service was top notch and the sushi chef and waiter checked on us frequently to make sure everything was perfect. Food came out quickly after we ordered and portion sizes were generous and filling. My Favorite was the double salmon roll...so fresh and flavorful and not too heavy. The sashimi was also delicious. Service is super quick, the staff is attentive, and the food is great. Sashimi is fresh and generously portioned. The fresh wasabi served with the 16 piece sashimi combo was also a pleasant surprise. Rolls usually aren't memorable for me at restaurants because they're pretty basic and about the same everywhere, but the dynamite roll here was epic. While up in North Austin running errands, we started searching for places to have dinner. SO GLAD that we found Sushi Yume!! From the outside it looks very unassuming (plenty of parking, easy to get to from the highway), but once you step inside it is such a nice little place for a wonderful meal. We love all things sushi, so upon some very nice recommendations from our wonderful waitress, we chose to get the yellowtail sashimi, the crab puffs, the tuna belly handroll, and the dynamite roll. EVERYTHING WAS SO FRESH, DELICIOUS, BEAUTIFULLY PLATED, AND FILLING!! Highly recommend this spot. I hate to say it, but I had low expectations since it's in Round Rock. My cousin wanted to try it out since we saw some posts on Instagram. There are a lot of parking spots since it's located in a shopping center. My sister and I came in at 7PM and were asked to put our name down and our bar/table preference on the paper at the front. When my cousin arrived, they sat us down at the table towards the back of the restaurant. It's not super small but was only about 4-5 tables. They had K-pop playing (specifically a lot of Big Bang's songs from 2014-2016) so us older millennials really enjoyed that. The waiters were attentive, refilled our water often, and checked in on us often. Miso soup was savory and hit the spot. I always judge a sushi place off of the rice (if it's too dry, too mushy/wet, etc) but this rice was great. I have no complaints. Additionally, the fish was super fresh. I loved all the hand rolls I'd ordered (negitoro and scallop) and the Uni and amaebi was super fresh and not fishy. I didn't have a stomach ache afterwards so that's a great sign. They also gave us three free sushi pieces on the house - they may been a salmon roll. We loved it. I wasn't a fan of the dynamite roll because of the amount of spicy mayo but my cousin loved it for the amount of crawfish and scallop that was packed on the roll and the taste. For dessert, we ordered the yuzu cheesecake which was tasty. We wanted to share a dessert but didn't expect it to be that little. It makes sense now seeing that it was only $4 but definitely order more than one if you want to share with the table. Paying was quick and easy. The server brought the bill to us and we were able to pay at the table. We were patient with us staying at our table until 8:53; we didn't realize they closed at 9 and felt so bad. Tried this place the other week as an after work treat with my partner. A bit of a wait but was able to be seated at the bar. When it comes to sushi spots with Korean roots in American and Texas, you have a certain baseline to expect since most seem to be at a similar level. However, what sets this place apart is that each of their specialty rolls are HUGE. You get amazing bang for your buck and it's battling it out for my favorite casual sushi spot in the area.
