    Rock Shrimp Tempura
    Gregg R.

This place was a little difficult to find but the food and service were excellent. The rock shrimp was fantastic. It was cooked perfectly and love the sauce. The wagyu dumplings are good but I could not tell if it was wagyu or not so don't think it was worth the higher price. The service was spot on and attentive. Overall it was a great experience and I left so full!

Stopped by for a drink while exploring Las Vegas! Found this place tucked away but so happy we did! The drinks we had were incredible and the bar tenders were super friendly and attentive! We were there in the middle of the day so it was pretty quiet but it was a great spot to grab a drink! And even though we didn't get any food, the menu looked incredible! So next time I'm here I am definitely getting something to eat!

Sushisamba is on the pricier side, but is one of the few places where I can honestly say the food is well worth the price tag. My friends all agreed, and we are very particular when it comes to good sushi. We ordered a bunch of different things as we were a fairly large group, ranging from ramen and chicken dishes to the raw stuff. I had the pleasure of trying: -Asevichado Roll: So many types of fish on one roll. Every bite was delicious. I wish it was a slightly larger roll, because I didn't want it to end. -Shrimp Tempura Handroll: A simple, basic handroll, mbut a good size and good flavor. The shrimp was perfectly fried. -Coconut Matcha Sour (gin): If you like sweet, tropical tasting drinks, this is incredible. It's definitely more of a dessert type cocktail but it paired so nicely with the sushi rolls. It is light on the matcha, and very coconut forward. I personally loved it. -Hamapeño Roll: They warned us that the sauce was spicy and I loved the kick it gave to the roll. This was my favorite roll from what I tried. I didn't find it too spicy at all. The first plantain balanced the roll perfectly. -Yuzu Shots (gin): Fun, not too potent to get down. These were unique and tasty. They came in a cool tasting tree. Other notes: -Our server was fantastic and helped us celebrate a fun night for a friend. -The ambiance and decor is sophisticated and modern. Great for a date night. -Bathrooms: So clean and the bathroom attendant was so helpful and well, attentive.

I'm obsessed with Sushi Samba and can't wait until I get to try their West Hollywood location! Our waitress Carolyn is GREAT and so is the tiradito!! I love the Peruvian flair especially the corn!! I recommend sitting at a booth instead of the sushi bar. Be sure to order the sea bass yakitori. We had 2 orders yesterday and they were grilled to perfection!

Ambiance: Restaurant was a lot larger than expected. You could come in jeans with a cute top or come in a dress - both fit the ambiance. It's a little loud in there especially when they do their performance which seemed to happen every hour Service: Service was good. Nothing really to note. Food: Almost everything we got were great! The sea bass is what they're known for & now I get why. It was delicious along with the type of corn. All of the sushi we got were great (asevichado was my fav). the crispy taquitos were also tasty. out of everything we ordered, the rock shrimp was my least fav

Must try! Miso seabass skewers. 5/5

If you're in the Palazzo don't skip this restaurant. 5 stars all the way. Service is great and fast and food comes out fresh and fast as well. One of the best sushi restaurant in Vegas.

I was so excited to finally get to try this place out. Sushisamba is located inside the Venetian. I was excited to see how they would bring in the cultural flavors of 3 countries into their mix ( Japan, Brazil and Peru) Two hungry adults before going to the Sphere ordered: - Pao de queijo: If you ever had Brazilian cheese bread, this is what it is. What made this one of my favorite dishes was the honey truffle butter. I wish I could have gotten the exact recipe for this because it was truly outstanding. ($10) - We ordered two rolls. The spicy tuna ($12) and the salmon avocado rolls ($11). Both rolls were decent. We were not expecting a full order but little to say we were more than happy to eat them since they were delicious and fresh. The spicy tuna roll was our favorite of the two. - One order of the assorted vegetable tempura. This was my least favorite dish only because I wasnt a fan of the mushroom and the napa like vegetable that was in the mix was very difficult to eat. We did enjoy the Peruvian pepper dipping sauce. ($11) - One order of the yellow tail tiradito with lemongrass and jalapeno. MMMMmmm this was FRESH!! Highly recommend an order of this. ($10) - One old fashion cocktail ($14) You know I love me an old fashion. I was excited to try it with Iwai Japanese whisky. The ice ball was crystal clear, the taste was strong and it gave me a really nice buzz to be honest. It was delicious and would totally order again. The staff was attentive and always made sure we had water and that our food was tasting great. It was all brought out as it was done since we were told by our lovely waitress that they have 3 kitchens! The mood of the place is chill and has a nice vibe for a date night, girls night or even just for you to go and enjoy by yourself. It wasn't loud, it was clean and had plenty of seating. Highly recommended to make reservations if you have a larger party. I would love to come back and try more items off their menu. Great happy hour aka Samba hour!! (at the bar area only) Sunday through Friday 3PM - 6PM | 11PM - CLOSE

Every time I am in town (which is several times per year) - if I'm traveling solo - I come here. The menu is so expansive, that I rarely have the same thing twice. No sake flight this time (but highly recommend), but absolutely loved everything. Started with spicy/garlic edamame (YUM), the gem salad (honestly, hard to eat, but good flavor), hearts of palm (easiest my fav dish of the meal), and chicken.

    Gyoza and taquitos

I haven't been here in a long time, but remembered the food was really good, so I decided to come in for a quick meal in between gambling sessions. I came around 3pm and had a seat at the bar for their sambahour happy hour. Came on a Tuesday, so it wasn't busy at all. I love an old fashioned and the one here is really good. Japanese whiskey they use is pretty good and the drink was nicely mixed by the bartender. Just the right amount of sweetness and really refreshing. For the food, I got the gyoza, crispy yellowtail taquitos, pork ribs, and spicy tuna sushi. Food wasn't spectacular, but was all really tasty. Pork ribs were especially tasty and fall off the bone tender. It's the happy hour menu, so the portions were obviously not that big. However, I ate all of these by myself and was surprisingly full. Total was around $78 before tip, so it is still a little more on the expensive side. However, bartenders were nice and friendly and the food and drinks were pretty good.

This place was everything we hoped for. Service was great. They were finishing the lunch rush and thanked us for our patience. Checked on us after food was delivered and overall just very attentive and gave good recommendations on what rolls to try. All of the food was so good. The yellowtail with jalepeno was our favorite. King crab roll was also very good. And so was our specialty roll. We would definitely come back here again. Worth the hype!!

My sad attempt to get some work done before the saki flight
    Aubrie R.

Was in Vegas for a girls weekend and had some time to kill before the whole group got into town so I set up shop and got to work while I waited. It was maybe not such a smart move that I also ordered saki flight because I didn't get much work done! My "work" for the day became ordering a perfect meal and then lead to several cocktails and then dessert! Great dining and ambiance - two thumbs up!

This was my most expensive meal during this trip and sadly one of my least favorites. This is a very interesting dining space, unique look to the whole restaurant. The waitress was a lovely young lady and made recommendations when asked and led to my favorite bite of the meal. I ordered: Tuna tacos - 3.5* two crispy tacos with a mild flavor but great texture on the "taco". Tempura green beans - 5* addictive little bites with a creamy aoli. Best part of the meal and I would go back during happy hour to get these. Samba Vegas roll - 2* my least favorite. The "crispy" rice made this heavy and dense. Nothing crispy about it and the flavors were just muddy. Asevichad roll - 3* better than the Samba but underwhelming in flavor. I had to use plenty of the fresh and pricey wasabi to liven up the flavor. This could be a me issue. Maybe it's supposed to be mild in flavor? Spicy tuna roll - 3.5* my favorite of the rolls but wish it had a crunchy element like cucumber to help with the mushy texture. Tuna nigiri - 2* sad offering. So forgettable I didn't take a pic. Wish I had only ordered one. It was left on the plate. Fresh wasabi - the waitress offered, I said sure, I paid $14 for a miniscule amount BUT it helped me eat some of the rolls so I guess thanks? I left most of the Samba, half of the Asevichad. I wanted to eat all the tempura green beans but they were too plentiful. The menu looked so great but my experience wasn't.

    Tiger Maki

We booked an early lunch at this gorgeous venue in The Venetian. The dining area is truly stunning. Our server, Micah, was so phenomenal! He knew the menu so well and had good recommendations and a super pleasant personality. We really loved him. The food was out of this world too. We started with a yellowtail Sashimi Taradito that came with a delicious lemongrass and thin slice of jalapeño that was the perfect spice level. We tried one of their Tiger Maki rolls and instantly fell in love with the crunchy slightly sweet and salty bite. It is one of those rolls you'll long for days later. Baby gem lettuce doesn't sound like much but this fantastic palate cleansing small plate was beautifully presented and utterly delicious with basil miso sauce and pistachios for crunch. The lettuce was a nice contrast to the Miso Sea Bass skewers with their salty sauce. The Sea Bass was sort incredibly tender and moist with a light char on the edges. It makes for a seriously fantastic bite of food. This is a fabulous place to try!

Enormous disappointment…read more We were so looking forward to our meal here. I'm in my "seafood period" right now and I was excited at the potential I saw in the menu here. It's beautiful. But you no doubt know that from all of the Insta pics. Plan on some extra time to allow all of the wannabe influencers that are staging photo shoots at the entrance, which is famously decked out in fake flowers and pretty vignettes. It's all downhill from there. We were about 10 minutes early for our 5:30 reservation and the hostess told us she would seat us "closer to our reservation time". OK. That is sort of unusual since the restaurant seemed empty but sure. 5:30 came and went. We went back up to the hostess stand... apparently there was some shift change that was holding things up. Again, that's OK. But there was an attitude about it all that wasn't very friendly. We were shown to our table soon and it was a nice curvy booth. We both noticed pretty quickly that the music is too loud. That makes everyone have to talk loudly so you will be surrounded by tables of people yelling at each other. Our server seemed distinctly unimpressed that we didn't order any alcohol. You could see the moment he lost interest in us. When my partner asked about the chicken he sort of menu shamed us. We ordered expensive food so his attitude was unnecessary and he did warm up a bit after that. I had the seafood tower for one. This is $68 a person. When they put it in front of me, I was honestly confused. I couldn't hear a thing our server was saying over the loud music so I missed his descriptions of the items. There was something so bizarre on this seafood tower - something that looked like an oyster shell full of whipped cream. What in the world? Oh it's so much worse than that. To my horror, I tried it and found this is some sort of absolutely foul lemongrass cream or some nonsense like that. It was an enormous amount of it - a full mouthful and at the bottom of the shell was supposedly an oyster. I didn't find it and I wouldn't want to eat an oyster that had been sitting in that offensive pool. Wow. That is so amazingly bad. Nowhere on the menu do they warn you what they are going to do to your oysters. It's truly appalling - so bad in fact that I just had to say something to the waiter. He seemed surprised but I don't buy it. This cannot be popular. Anyway, rant over. The rest of the seafood tower was just OK. The lobster was tiny and not super fresh. The shrimp were sort of "meh" but the hit surprisingly was the scallop ceviche... very nice and bright. Note there is no bread either offered or on the menu. Felt weird. It's needed. For our main course, my partner got the filet mignon and a side lobster tail. His lobster was also of the "wee" variety and a bit tough. Steak was nice though and cooked as requested. I had the Truffle Mushroom with Spaghetti and added the jumbo shrimp. This was also terrible. I thought I liked truffles - but I bit into something in this dish that again I can only describe as foul. And the sauce was just too much and overwhelming. I ate about three bites and just gave up. We spent about $260 before tip. With no drinks. This was a pretty stunningly bad meal.

I feared that there would be a massive wait but I guess since Vegas had so many different food options, the crowd kind of dispersed. I have seen Best Friend before but never got to try. I also do enjoy Roy Choi's food (RIP Chego), so I was exited to try. There's a super cute bar in the waiting area, which is available on first come first serve, but I wanted to try the restaurant itself. The dining area was super cool, had a retro LA vibe, which I enjoyed as an LA native. The server was prompt and recommended the uni dynamite rice, which I ordered. I also ordered the fried chicken and street corn. Complimentary bread came out, which was super delicious. Food came out fairly quickly after. The uni dynamite was surprisingly super filling and was the favorite of the night. The fried chicken was also pretty good, crispy and crunchy. I was not as a big fan of the corn, but it was decent. My intention was to order more food, I wanted to order the Chego bowl, but I was too full by the time I was done. Definitely glad I got to try and will be back again to try other options.

It's not close to the side of town we're on which is far north west, Skye Canyon,, but we feel it's worth it! The waitstaff is always very attentive and knowledgeable when it comes to the menu. We actually come here often enough that we are very familiar with the menu and we always know exactly what we want to eat and drink! Sorry this review is so late but every time we go to Fremont Street we eat, have drinks and then we have a good time so I get sidetracked and forget to finish reviewing lol Overall, this is a really great restaurant. It's kind of small, but we've never really have to wait very long to be seated. The best part about it is, it's in Circa which doesn't allow anyone under 21 in the casino so we don't have to worry about those kind of large parties! (Just my personal opinion)

We got the brisky dumplings, pan seared. I Was expecting the small din tai fung sized ones with little filling, but these were FAT dumplings, with good amounts of brisket inside. WE got the brisket fried rice - also very good, and the garlic noodles. I really liked the char that the noodles and rice had. Only thing for me is that the fried rice and noodles seemed to have a little too big much oil in it. I don't think that's an indictment on 8 east itself, but more of a general Chinese/Taiwanese cooking method. But other than that, I would certainly come back again.
