We hadn't been to the Las Vegas Sushisamba location in a while, so my family and I were excited to come back and give it another try. From the moment we arrived, we had a wonderful experience with great service, friendly staff, and an amazing atmosphere. We started with the edamame, shishito peppers, and miso soup, then enjoyed a variety of sushi rolls including the Asevichado and Tiger Maki specialty rolls, along with classics like salmon avocado, spicy tuna, and shrimp tempura rolls. Everything was fresh, beautifully prepared, and delicious. One thing I especially appreciated was how family-friendly it was. We had a 7-year-old and a 12-year-old with us, and the kids menu was such a great option. My 7-year-old ordered the chicken teriyaki, which came with rice, salad, and the cutest ice cream cookie sandwich. It was even served in a little boat, which she loved! The chicken was incredibly juicy and high quality, honestly one of the best kids' meals I've ever seen. My 12-year-old niece ordered the salmon teriyaki and loved it as well. This place is located inside the Palazzo side at the Venetian hotel. The restaurant is huge and has a very nice ambiance. I came on a Thursday evening and it was so busy. I got the miso soup, steak, grilled fish, asparagus, wagyu gyoza and yellowtail tacos. Everything was delicious! I particularly love the fish, it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I am a huge fan of the Peruvian and Japanese flavours mix. Their dishes are perfect for sharing and the option to try a bit of everything. Sushi was ok and service not so great. We showed up ten minutes before happy hour. Bar staff took our order. 10 minutes later another person handed us happy hour menu. We should have waited to order. Then my husband wanted to order wings however the same guy told us it was too late and that he had already said last call. This was false. Then he said he would see what he could do. So not only did they not offer us happy hour when we were 10 minutes away, they took order and then claimed it was last call and we had missed it. Obviously their way to charge you full price right before 11:00 at night. Also says happy hour starts at 11:00 to closing. They clearly wanted to clean up and go home. We usually sit in the main area you see in the front but we got taken to another large area in the back. Service was excellent and food came out perfect. My friends all agreed, and we are very particular when it comes to good sushi. I had the pleasure of trying: -Asevichado Roll: So many types of fish on one roll. Every bite was delicious. I wish it was a slightly larger roll, because I didn't want it to end. -Shrimp Tempura Handroll: A simple, basic handroll, mbut a good size and good flavor. The shrimp was perfectly fried. -Coconut Matcha Sour (gin): If you like sweet, tropical tasting drinks, this is incredible. It's definitely more of a dessert type cocktail but it paired so nicely with the sushi rolls. It is light on the matcha, and very coconut forward. I personally loved it. -Hamapeño Roll: They warned us that the sauce was spicy and I loved the kick it gave to the roll. This was my favorite roll from what I tried. OSHA states you must have hearing protection above 85 db for exposure above an hour. Well this place smokes the hearing of their staff and anyone else that is there for a meal. It was so loud I downloaded a db recorder. My wife and I believe it was not as loud when I recorded this as it was during our first 30 minutes of hazardous noise exposure. The food was good, not great. The ambiance was horrible . Crazy loud . Was told this is normal by waiter "like Carnival in Rio". I was excited to see how they would bring in the cultural flavors of 3 countries into their mix ( Japan, Brazil and Peru) Two hungry adults before going to the Sphere ordered: - Pao de queijo: If you ever had Brazilian cheese bread, this is what it is. What made this one of my favorite dishes was the honey truffle butter. I wish I could have gotten the exact recipe for this because it was truly outstanding. ($10) - We ordered two rolls. The spicy tuna ($12) and the salmon avocado rolls ($11). Both rolls were decent. We were not expecting a full order but little to say we were more than happy to eat them since they were delicious and fresh. The spicy tuna roll was our favorite of the two. - One order of the assorted vegetable tempura. This was my least favorite dish only because I wasnt a fan of the mushroom and the napa like vegetable that was in the mix was very difficult to eat. We did enjoy the Peruvian pepper dipping sauce. ($11) - One order of the yellow tail tiradito with lemongrass and jalapeno. MMMMmmm this was FRESH!! Highly recommend an order of this. Was in Vegas this weekend and decided to stop by Sushisamba for Samba Hour (happy hour) on Friday. We had a show to attend right after so was looking to get small bites and some alcohol. This restaurant offers a Latin Japanese fusion menu, which gives a nice different vibe to the meal. Food We ordered a ton of small bites on the Samba hour menu, the Otsumami (mix combo of edamame, tempura green beans, shishito peppers) and yellowtail taquito were my favorites. Spicy margarita and regular margarita was pretty good and strong. The sashimi dishes were pretty fresh and citrus flavors went really well. Service Host was friendly and greeted us on arrival, we were seated promptly. Waters were immediately brought but our server didn't come by until 6-7 minutes after to give us menus. Afterwards the server was pretty attentive and came frequently to check on us. Overall a pretty good experience, would definitely recommend coming during happy hour. read more

Japanese whiskey they use is pretty good and the drink was nicely mixed by the bartender. Just the right amount of sweetness and really refreshing. For the food, I got the gyoza, crispy yellowtail taquitos, pork ribs, and spicy tuna sushi. Food wasn't spectacular, but was all really tasty. Pork ribs were especially tasty and fall off the bone tender. It's the happy hour menu, so the portions were obviously not that big. However, I ate all of these by myself and was surprisingly full. I have been to this location a few times now and thought I needed to say a few words. Back when SushiSamba opened manyyyyyy years ago, I had dined in the main dining area a few times, but recent visits in the past year have been at the bar. Their bar stuff is amazing! All on point, very friendly and helpful, and you can tell that they take time to build a rapport with customers. I love that they have a great happy hour here - if you're just looking for fast bites and a couple of drinks I highly recommend - the price point is quite alluring. I've had dinner here a couple times at the bar also and the service is immaculate. I've been able to meet some really fun people at the bar, some who are frequent customers and they all have the best things to say. The music is always lively, not too loud, and they have TVs with sports on if you're into that. We booked an early lunch at this gorgeous venue in The Venetian. The dining area is truly stunning. Our server, Micah, was so phenomenal! He knew the menu so well and had good recommendations and a super pleasant personality. We really loved him. The food was out of this world too. We started with a yellowtail Sashimi Taradito that came with a delicious lemongrass and thin slice of jalapeño that was the perfect spice level. We tried one of their Tiger Maki rolls and instantly fell in love with the crunchy slightly sweet and salty bite. It is one of those rolls you'll long for days later. Baby gem lettuce doesn't sound like much but this fantastic palate cleansing small plate was beautifully presented and utterly delicious with basil miso sauce and pistachios for crunch. The lettuce was a nice contrast to the Miso Sea Bass skewers with their salty sauce. The Sea Bass was sort incredibly tender and moist with a light char on the edges. This Las Vegas location is located inside the Palazzo connected with the Venetian. The signature orange maple tree canopy covers the sushi counter and bar, and is quite expansive, plenty of seatings. There are tables, booths and counter spaces inside. We sat at the counter. It is less traditional, so you won't have to converse with a chef. Laid back, customer focused service The menu is very expansive with traditional style sushi / sashimi, Wagyu as well as American style rolls. Wagyu service - hot stone Wagyu is probably the ultimate highlight. It is served with the Wagyu certificate (stating the lineage of the beer - mixed feeling but shows authenticity). There are some creative condiments and sides served with the Wagyu. And the star of the show is the hot stone. The lava salt, pears also compliment the wagyu well. Serrano rolls - delicious impressive Nigiri platter / Sushi plate - quite good, high quality, fresh, loved it. Assortment of classics tuna and daily specials. Based on our other dining experiences in Vegas, this was a bit disappointing. The sushi rolls were good but grossly overpriced and small portions. The vegetable tempura was pretty bad. They used a lot of vegetables that don't fry well (or don't taste good fried) such as eggplant and enoki mushrooms and more than half of it was left on the plate. The tomato salad was fresh and tasty. The mocktail was a bit on the sweet side and the espresso martini was not good. My friend ended up asking for a different drink. There is room for improvement with service. Our female server seemed hot and cold. Sometimes she seemed bubbly and friendly and other times it seemed like we were bothering her. At some point, she was nowhere to be found and we had to go to the bar for another drink and ask for the check. After spending over $100 for an afternoon snack, we didn't feel it was worth it. This was my most expensive meal during this trip and sadly one of my least favorites. This is a very interesting dining space, unique look to the whole restaurant. The waitress was a lovely young lady and made recommendations when asked and led to my favorite bite of the meal. I ordered: Tuna tacos - 3.5* two crispy tacos with a mild flavor but great texture on the "taco". Tempura green beans - 5* addictive little bites with a creamy aoli. Best part of the meal and I would go back during happy hour to get these. Samba Vegas roll - 2* my least favorite. The "crispy" rice made this heavy and dense. Nothing crispy about it and the flavors were just muddy. Asevichad roll - 3* better than the Samba but underwhelming in flavor. I had to use plenty of the fresh and pricey wasabi to liven up the flavor. This could be a me issue. Maybe it's supposed to be mild in flavor? Spicy tuna roll - 3.5* my favorite of the rolls but wish it had a crunchy element like cucumber to help with the mushy texture. Tuna nigiri - 2* sad offering. So forgettable I didn't take a pic. Wish I had only ordered one. It was left on the plate. Fresh wasabi - the waitress offered, I said sure, I paid $14 for a miniscule amount BUT it helped me eat some of the rolls so I guess thanks? I love Asian Fusion so it was a no brainer to visit Sushisamba during our stay at the Venetian. My fiancé had been previously and assured I would be in for a great meal. He was absolutely right! We ate here before going over to the Sphere which was extremely convenient. When we finished, we were able to walk right over through the indoor hotel walkway. I love how most of the options are tapas style so you can try a large variety of items during your meal. There was a great balance between sushi, sashimi, and cooked items. Some standouts for me were the salmon sashimi, Kobe beef gyoza, and sea bass skewers. The fish was SO FRESH and so flavorful. I could have eaten 5 servings of the sashimi alone. The sushi rolls were also unique and very filling. We ended up indulging in a chocolate banana cake for dessert. A perfect end to a fantastic meal. We stopped by Sushisamba on our hike up the strip to the main mall. I absolutely love their coconut rice so we made a quick stop. The theming at this location (inside the shopping mall in Palazzo) is really cool. Even at the bar, where we sat, is like you are sitting under a tree. items. (Good job on the upsell ) He put in the order for my rice right away and then we opted to get the vegetable tempura and hubby got a Japanese Old Fashioned. My rice was perfect (as expected) - warm and "coconutty". The vegetable tempura had a few unidentifiable items. Not a big deal - it was fun to guess what they were. It all tasted really good and had a nice crunch. Hubby enjoyed his old fashioned - they used a Japanese whiskey - but he was more fascinated with the round ice cube as it was completely clear with no bubbles or clouding. The bartender said they order their specialty drink ice straight from Japan as they have an expensive machine that vibrates the water continuously to remove the bubbles.
