Disgusting that's all I can really say about this 5 minute experience I put myself through. First off they put a ton of mayonnaise in every roll and most of the rolls I saw shouldn't have been more then 1.00. Sushi ohana and Hana are the best sushi trains to go to and they have happy hour. I'm sorry that mayo roll is the same roll I could get at ohana without the mayo and not having to pay 3.50 ridiculous. Sushiville you had rolls priced at 3.50 and all it was was the imitation crab with only three pieces you could get 8 rolls for that price again without all that mayo. Basically they had basic overpriced rolls that tasted nasty, warm, and not eatable. I used to work at this place. When I did the manager Peter was horrible and stole our tips. I quit because of him. I can say I found a cockroach but only 1. They did have cockroach traps in the lockers we used to store our stuff when working so I wasn't surprised when I seen it. They are not very clean there though. The workers set drinks of their own inside the ice maker in the back. The next manager (gabby) who was my coworker previously denied my service dog entry. It is illegal and I could have taken her to court for it but I decided to be the bigger person. Some people are not worth the time. Especially when the food isnt all that great. was pretty good the first time we went. don't know what it's called but we ate a bunch of the rolls with the tuna in the middle, unagi on top with a dot of hot sauce. the salmon, mango, black sesame rolls were interesting. the salmon nigiri was very fresh. however, the next time we went all the rolls looked like they'd been going round and round for a while. the salmon nigiri was still the best bet for fresh taste and appearance. everything else looked hours (and some hours and hours) old. Yes it is sushi go round, its not authentic but if you want to get filled up its good. The place is always crowded which is a good sign to me. The staff is freindly, the chefs do not speak good english so order through the waitresses. It is very clean and neat. Good place to grab some quick rolls. read more

Poor service. How do you screw up service that is mainly handled by a conveyor belt? Waitress was slow, skipped me when refilling water, awkwardly joked with us. Once again same exact crappy service I got last time. The only difference this time was I took it upon myself to ask the sushi chef to make me my tuna rolls after the server forgot to ask once again. After receiving said tuna rolls I found half of them stil in the thawing semi frozen stage. Another huge disappointment after another. After finishing my meal I had to wait for a good 10-15 minutes and me finally having to ask someone to tally my plates up so I could leave. How much was my meal you ask? I am giving this place a 5 star rating not because i think it deserves 5 stars (i think saying 5 stars is like saying that the place can't possibly be better) since it more likely deserves 4 imo, but because I think that 1 star implies it can't be any worse, awful service, awful food, awful environment, etc. and I am dumbfounded that people can give this place a one star rating. Service wasn't that great. She sat us down but never checked on us or anything. Food was below average. I went for the crab salad and the first bite I took was warmer than room temperature. I came on at 4:00 on a Thursday, the place was fully staffed but not even half full of customers. I sat and waited, and waited and waited. I had to ask for water and gluten free soy sauce, which was shoved at me with ill grace (and no I was most certainly not rude when I asked). I asked the person who gave me the water if she could take an order she didn't have time. No one ever came to take my order. It got two stars because the sushi was decent. This place has gone downhill FAST. It used to be packed during the meal hours, but last night at 6:30, we were able to walk right in and get a table. Service was ok, but the food was warm and not very fresh, two things that are not great in a sushi restaurant. Also, the quality of sushi on the train was on par with a grocery store, lots of seafood salad with fake crab and tuna salad with rice. I mentioned to the hostess that the quality of the entire restaurant seems to have gone down, she said that I was the third person to say that during her shift. Just like an average conveyer belt sushi restaurant. The portions are decent, but I think the prices are a bit high. The sushi was also pretty decent, but the reason I give it a low review is because of the service. The waitresses literally gather in a circle and talk amongst themselves ignoring their guests. Great sushi and variety. Friendly staff. It is a little speedy, but being the only sushi conveyer belt in Gresham they mark it up. I really wish they would offer a happy hour maybe between 2-4pm on weekdays. I love to stop in for a quick bite and the happy hour would be a major plus. read more

This is my favorite place in Gresham. The price is very reasonable. Just be aware of the color of the plates you're taking, you can easily do budget control well. My average cost is 10-13 per person before tip. Love their seared salmon, better flavor with the same price of salmon nigiri. You can also get a huge plate yakisoba for 6-8 dollars. read more

I can't remember when was the last time that i had such poor service. They seated us right away and then forgot about us. We sat for 15-20 min before they even took our drink order. They finally brought them 5 minutes later then we waited again to place our food order. By the time i was able to ask for a fork, my food was cold. Long ago, the management drove us away and the only thing that brought us back was a full punch card. During my "last" visit.. we met the new manager, Peter. Peter has turned the place around and has an incredible attitude! I can't sing of his praises, enough! My girlfriend and I try to come back at least once a week. Came in for quick take out and when we told the server she said "Thank goodness". She showed us a menu and we ordered. The chef handed us our sushi on the plates and we had to then scoop and drop our sushi into the take out containers. Maybe I'm just not used to this kind of place but normally takeout is put together by the servers, but I could just be being picky. The plates were a bit overpriced compared to some of the other places around Portland I've been too. Most plates averaging between $2.25 and 3.25 each for three pieces of sushi. Although the rolls themselves were okay, there wasn't much variety, with crab salad showing up in a few variations in most of the rolls that came by. I've definitely had better for cheaper. This place has the saltiest poki tuna salad. They drenched it with soy sauce. I had a hard time finishing it. The eel didn't have teriyaki sauce on it like the other places do, so it tastes kind of bland. I would recommend it only for a quick bite. Went here about 45 min before closing on New Year's Eve. Probably not the best idea but I really wanted Sushi. It probably could have been a better experience and a little fresher but overall it was okay and scratched an itch. This is a conveyer belt restaurant and has a decent menu. For a Sushi Restaurant that has a track (Go around sushi) this is one of my favorite places. The sushi is good and fresh. Services is nice and quick, everyone is nice. Price is reasonable. The sushi pieces are cut and made well. Not like Sushi Land where some pieces are broken or oddly cut. Sushiville has a lot of different option other then the typical sushi they have at other go around sushi places. This is a good option for a Go Around Sushi place. read more

I have frequented this place since its door opened, even tried to get a job here. I LOVE the sushi, however a few things to note about this place... There is NO wait area, there are a few stools and then you're on your own. If it gets busy you're going to stand awkwardly somewhere. There is almost never more than two people working, if there are a lot of people get used to a wait. If you want something made fresh, specify that to the waiter/waitress. They will hunt it down on the belt for you before they ask the chef; things like the mussels and wontons NEED to be hot, it's imperative to me. I hate to say it but the sushi is incredibly cheap and american-ized. It's slathered in mayo or sauce or sugar...however, I LOVE this. I really do. I can't help it, I'm american. Don't come here looking for the best sushi or anywhere near authentic. They just make it fast, full of tasty crap, and let you yoink it off a belt. It's not exactly cheap though, that is a true problem. For sushi fast food it's not exactly worth it, but if you want a lot of sushi then by all means, it's the place to go. read more

Prices have climbed a bit and portions have gotten noticeably smaller (thinner ahi slices, smaller rice rolls). But flavor is as good as anywhere and there is generally new and interesting presentations to try. The calamari is exceptionally good. Couldn't have been better timing. We got a set right away and there was unlimited selections. 30 minutes after we sat down there was a full house and people waiting. Food was fantastic. They will do whatever rolls you would like as well as the selections on the carts. Just a bit slow getting drinks. read more
