Susie set me up only with guys she had found on LinkedIn - not guys who had come to her looking for a relationship. The other paying clients she offered to match me with lived really far away, were clearly much older than me, or didn't have matching interests. I met three guys. The first date was truly traumatic; the second guy lacked communication skills; and the third guy was a widower of nearly three years who had been dating for the better part of a year. We dated for four months, until it became obvious he was still deeply grieving for his late wife and completely unavailable as a longterm partner. He also lacked effective communication skills, much like Guy #2. Buyer beware! Susie's database is full of duds, and in my experience these men don't seem to be looking for a serious relationship. I came out with nothing in return for my investment except disappointment, angst, and a major questioning of whether looking for a relationship is even worth it. Susie will certainly respond to this negative review, act empathetic, and make excuses, but this was a huge waste of my money, and the service was subpar. I don't feel the way Susie finds her male candidates was transparently conveyed to me during our initial information session. I was under the impression that I'd be matched with guys who were paying customers, but I don't think there are many of those in her database. Susie says the men from LinkedIn are fully vetted, but two of the guys she sent to me didn't have business to be in a matchmaking database. The first guy was Tinder quality; the second needs intensive therapy before seeking out another partner, but he isn't even self-aware enough to admit it! ‍ This was a huge disappointment. Worse than I ever imagined. Just don't do it. I thought it would be nice to use a small, personalized service; I should've gone with one of the bigger firms. read more

Don't waste your money. I went through my agreement with Susie and the only thing I can say I got any value from was the pictures. Susie's profiles are incredibly generic (being in a band translates to likes music), miss key details (like if you have a pet), and are out of date. She talks about her "database" like it's some treasure trove, but really it's a bunch of men she trots out periodically who have zero intention of being serious. Susie talks about all of the communication you'll have with her, yet she never says why you liked or didn't like someone and hasn't called me in months. When she doesn't feel like following up with you, her creepy son contacts you late at night to see if you responded to people. Save your money. Dating in Boston sucks, working with Susie sucks more. If you have the misfortune of having already paid Susie, look at the pictures. If they don't look like where she sent you, they aren't paying customers. Don't worry about letting her know you didn't like her service. She'll wax poetically about how she understands putting yourself out there is hard and offer for you to call her... read more

I had tried multiple dating services with no success and turned to Matchmaking more out of desperation than anything else.  Susie was recommended to me and so we set up a meeting. Susie was very professional and thorough.  Rather than a series of questions, it was more of a conversation.  She really listened about who I am, what I was looking for in a partner, and how I would want to approach things.  She explained the process, and was also very upfront about the expectations.  Particularly with respect to the "click".  While she could find someone that looks perfect on paper and has a lot of similar interests, that click is really up to the individuals and their chemistry - something I agree with completely. When you first met Susie, she was very nice, warm and took her time to know you, and told you that she has a big database of qualified gentlemen and named a couple of them who were just the people you would like to meet, however those people were never sent over to you after you signed the contract. The first match sent by Susie was a guy who had expressed an interest to me on Match.com, but I didn't think we were a match. Then Susie sent over the second match a month later, only to tell me later that the guy didn't think we were a match. So I paid $5,900 to Susie, and had never met one person Susie sent over to me since none of them met the criteria I specified to Susie. Three of them you could find yourself on the dating websites. I gave her a big age range to be flexible, but two of them sent by Susie were way over the age range I specified. One of them were actually relocating to a different state, but Susie didn't even know about it. Another thing was when I gave her the check and told her that she should only present the check on the coming Friday, because my fund will only become available on that Friday, but I guess she was afraid of me changing my mind and losing the $5,900 revenue, she cashed the check a day before, and I had to pay a penalty for overdraft. It was not only a complete waste of money, it hurts much more emotionally. I would not recommend her service to anybody. read more

Met with Susie this past year after looking into several companies. I was surprised that she did not have an actual office but met in a place where they rent out spaces and nothing permanent. I liked her so decided to overlook that. I should have gone with my gut and the reviews I found online but I decided to join. The service was over $3,000.00 and I was promised success and great men. However, come to find out that this is a new company recently started, not registered in the state and not many clients. Susie Q Matchmaking has really worked out very well for me. To be very honest, I have always been very skeptical of match making and if it actually works. I have been on dating sites to dating sites, but I would almost always meet individuals that do not match their profile. I was the kind of individual that was never a huge fan of the bars or clubs, it just wasn't for me. My friends have always tried helping me and their great friends, but I always wanted to expand my network and connections and try someone outside of the "circle", so I gave Susie Q a shot. Susie really changed my life by finding me the perfect woman and I really could not thank her enough. She takes the time to understand you and your needs. This is very life changing for me and luckily for me this has worked out really well. When going through the whole matchmaking process, Susie told me she does not promise or guarantee anything and I understood that. The price was fair given that there is a lot of work that Susie has to do. I was never discourage even though the first few matches Susie introduced me did not work out.
