It seemed dirty and untidy to me. The food is not tasty, the manager forgets about his requests.

Overpriced cheap bread

Ridiculous expensive, Overpriced bread. This is not $16 worth of bread. Any other bakery these are $.050 a piece and maybe $0.85 for pastelitos. Here, I got 8 pieces of simple bread and 4 pastelitos and the charged $16. To top of, poor quality bread. Would not recommend this place.

The WORST WORST excuse for El Salvadorian food I've ever had in my life!! Even the crappy taco stand on 23rd is better!! My honey and I walked in and had to seat ourselves because no one even acknowledged that we walked in. Sat down for a couple minutes, our waiter came over and took our order. We got: (1 order) Ceviche tostadas, (1) Asada taco, (1) Super asada burrito, and (1) Horchata. The food super long to come out and they had no type of condiments on the table. Nor did they give us any chips and salsa. I asked for Tapitio hot sauce and they took long to give that to me too. Seems very unorganized and nothing was ready. The food came out very plan. - Ceviche Tostada : Not much shrimp nor fish, lots of veggies not worth 10.99 - Asada Taco : Small and very plan. No real flavor. The menu said 1.60 each I got charged 5.75 or that could have been for the horchata which is still ridiculous because the horchata was NASTY! - Super Burrito : Did not look super size. The rice was mushy. The meat had no flavor. Green salsa that it came with sucked too. I am NEVER returning! Come here if you want to be disappointed. Sorry but I don't play when it comes to my food. I expect good service and good food. I got neither of those today. $28 for all that is wayyyy too much. Quesadilla salvadoreña

This place is my favorite bakery all fresh bread is a big difference to other bakeries around the Bay Area. They have a lot of variety of El Salvador, bread from Guatemala especially gallinitas and conchas mexicanas also tamales salvadoreño pisques ,chicken and pork.it's a very clean place.

The bread is so yummy and soft! Always fresh! I especially like their bread rolls and pineapple stuffed pastry.

The plate on the left is a salvadorean breakfast would of been better if it wasn't for the mop smell.!

I came hear ealry morning for breakfast and the first thing when I opened the door was the strong smell of a moping cleaning solution like pinsol very strong. It was so overpowering that I was standing at the bakery not even at the restaurant part of the building and all I could smell was that strong solution. As I make my way toward the restaurant part the smell doesn't seem to fade. As they show me to my table I was sitting there thinking maybe I should leave as I felt the smell was overpowering the whole restaurant. However I decided to stay and give this place a chance and maybe the food would make it worth deciding to stay their. As I placed my order I noticed a man coming out of the bathroom mopping the floor and using the same mop to mop the dining area ? At that point I was speechless! My order came I orderd bread with chicken and it was ok i also ordered fried plantains I highly recommend those with a cup of coffee very good if they don't serve them cold as they did hear so I had to return those .However food wise I will say I had better and if your looking for a good salvadorean place theirs one down the street from hear and they are very good .

Great bread and friendly service! I don't know why it says they're closed down. They are definitely open.

Pan dulce is always fresh and just sweet enough. I also love that they have pan con pollo, a super traditional Salvadorean chicken sandwich.

I used to come here more often when I worked in Richmond as it was on my way home. Yesterday, I was…read morein the area and figured I would stop by. I am so disappointed at the food changes and feeling bad to give a bad review as I love supporting small businesses and love Salvadorean food. There's a lot of room to improve. I've been eating Salvi food since I was child. If you order to go check before you leave. I had an item missing. I called and was able to get a refund. She handled it nice too since she forgot to add it. I took food to go. I added pictures on all. The tamales both chipilin and pork were good. The masa was excellent. The size was small to medium. The pupusas are tiny, they are good but nothing extraordinary. As they are small there's no cheese stretch or a good feel about the filling. The masa is good. The quesadilla pasty was crumbly, it did not feel fresh. It was dry with no flavor compared to ones I've eaten before. The best Salvi quesadillas are moist. The guava, pineapple, and custard empanada pastry were small. The pineapple one did not feel fresh, more on the dry side, crumbly compared to other flavors. The pork empanada was probably the worst. They were tiny with hardly any filling. The empanadas usually have a ground meat or shredded chicken. This one had pieces of pork so it was not flavorful at all. There's table seating indoors and outdoors. The yucca con chicharron was okay too. Usually it comes with a salad like but this one came with 1 beet, 1 slice of tomato and 1 slice of cucumber with a small bag of curtido. No sauce. Tip: The server gave me a business card and recommended to call for orders to go as the waiting time was 30 minutes. I did not mind waiting. I appreciated her sharing this. Tip: recommend the pork tamal. The pupusas if hungry get at least 3.

I haven't tried much here other than the pupusa's and they are great. They have a selection of some…read morepastries and I've had some and they were all right, but in general, I'm not into El Salvador and pastries, so maybe I'm not a good person to judge the flavor of those. To me they're just kind of plain and dry. However, the pupusa's are really good and the staff is always really friendly. They used to have better deals on the pupusa during certain times of the day, but I don't think they do that anymore unfortunately. This is definitely a place. I've gone to several times and will continue to.
