Met Russell, got a fair price, and proceeded. Today they fired up the AC. The crew is exceptional, focused and professional. I have used many HVAC businesses over the years. Foster's is at the top of my list.

Fortunately, or as thought, the compressor was under warranty so I expected to pay labor. The office told us it would cost $1625.00 + refrigerant. this is warranty work so I asked what exactly I was paying for. I was told labor and line drier filter. When I asked what the labor rate is, I could not get an answer. The compressor was under warranty so I wasn't paying for that but i could not get anyone to explain what I was actually paying for. The manager finally said he could do it for $800.00 + refrigerant. I agreed, although I still did not know exactly what I was paying $ 800.00 for. They came out and replaced the compressor. Total cost = $1963.53. If I had agreed to $1625+ refrigerant the bill would have been around $2500.00. Foster's was bought by a company from Little Rock and this company is charging Little Rock prices. I will never do business and be robbed by this company ever again. CONSUMER BEWARE!

This is day 3 of their AC unit being out again. They have repaired this unit multiple times, but refuse to authorize a replacement of a 35 year old central heat and air unit. They are impossible to reach and receive a response, mostly because he is very slow working on other projects. The quality of work leaves much to be desired. I believe that this company and the home warranty company preys on the elderly. I am checking to see what actions are available. In reply to the comment placed below. My parents had been bounced back and forth between the Home Warranty Company and this company. They called AHC & R first and were treated rudely. Then they contacted the Home Warranty place and were told to contact AHC & R. Several phone calls later, my dad believed that the home warranty place has scheduled the appointment. That is where I became involved. I pulled up their account online and discovered it, in fact, had not been scheduled. Now that is not entirely AHC & R's fault, but I would like to know why in extreme heat, with an elderly couple, a work order for a broken AC unit that has been repaired more than once would not constitute an emergency and expedited call?

Then our warranty company assigned them to come for a repair two days ago when the low was 17 at night and they said they would be here that day, never showed, never called back after repeated calls, emails, texts and messages, so NO do not use American Heating and Cooling for any service they provide. They are not dependable nor nice enough to return your call and let you know they are not going to show up.

He took over the business last year…read more Summer's busy yet he was able to send his guys out to take a look at our situation, provide an estimate, contact suppliers for exactly what we needed, sent his men back out to install, they actually did two installs of two split units, and although everything is recent, wife and I are definitely satisfied with the results. The workers were a pleasure to deal with, so is the gal who answers the phone. Excellent pricing for the value we received. We are grateful and feeling blessed. Thank you for coming through for us! We had an issue with our hvac unit. I called at exactly 8 am on Friday when they opened. A nice…read morelady answered, I explained my problem, she said they would have somebody out before lunch. In less than an hour there was a truck in my driveway. Technician was friendly and got right to work. He figured out it was a bad circuit breaker. We were fixed by 10 am. You can't ask for better service than that!
