The practice is clean and bright, the staff are all very kind and helpful, it is also a child-friendly practice. I have taken my 2 year old daughter here without a problem. The staff are also excellent at getting you in at short notice.

The decor is light and airy, as you walk in you are warmly greeted by one of the reception staff. There is a tv and a small play area for toddlers. Once in the consulting room Dr Gabriel really puts you at ease, she is wonderful with the kids too. There is limited patient car parking place outside the building but plenty of off road spaces locally. The 997 and 28 buses stop just opposite.

That's because the quality of dentistry at Victoria Road is brilliant. How much of it I actually needed is another question, but I mistakenly paid for all the recommended treatment thinking I was only paying for one very expensive filling. But when one of my front teeth broke (long story) the filling he rebuilt it with is so realistic even I can't tell, and it's my (sort of false) tooth! It used to be NHS but turned private and I had nowhere else to go which is how I ended up seeing how the other half get their teeth looked after. On reflection, and now being back on the NHS, it seems it really is a case of getting what you pay for. Just don't expect much left over to buy any sweets. Maybe that's the trick...?

I was advised to have a temporary filling as I have a deep cavity in my wisdom tooth. Pain relief…read morewas not discussed or administrated, I was in a lot of pain once the dentist inspected the tooth.I raised my hand twice to indicate that i wanted her to stop. The dentist continued and advised that she was nearly finished. When the dentist applied the filling it caused me extreme pain I called out in pain and raised my hand but the dentist continued.The dentist and assistant must have understood I was in pain as tears were falling down my face. I was forced to remove the Dentists hand myself. I was told that if didn't let her work on the tooth she couldn't "work her magic". After time to compose myself the dentist asked if it was painful I advised that it was. The dentist then asked ME If I wanted her to take out the filling. This felt that this implied that the filling was incorrect and needed to be adjusted. When I explained that I didn't know what it should feel like and for how long it would hurt, the dentist replied " well I don't know what you want me to do then" I left the appointment in shock, pain and tears. I am terrified to attend my appointment to extract the tooth. I have visited this practice and dentist recently before this occasion, during that visit I was given a quick and clear check up. I can only rate the hygienist highly who made me feel comfortable and gave me good advice. I will no be using this Dental practice again.
