However as I grow older perhaps, or as I would prefer to think the generation gap closes a little, it seems like a much better shop nowdays. They still have some really cheap stuff but they also have some new season stock that is a little dearer. Mind you I shop mostly at Best and Less or Big W so dear to me is not expensive by any stretch of the imagination. I did find a top I loved the cut of for only $10 which will come in handy in summer. Plus they had some great specials on end of season stuff, which is our weather can come in good all year round anyway. Georgeous dresses and tops for around $25 - $30 for something really nice. I also notice they now have an online store with free delivery on all orders!!! Not many stores offer free delivery.

There are quite a few dresses to appeal to younger women here, however I think the store mostly caters for older women. There is a very conservative few racks in the middle of the shop, covered in jeans and plain t-shirts. I think this is the staple product of the store, then the owner just has fun with the rest of it. It's a great store to look through, as it's filled with a whole range of contrasting stuff. And it's on the way to the ice cream shop next door.

Black Apple is one brand which stands out as being the main brand and the colours and styles are varied. The sizes start at 14 (which I don't consider as large personally) and go all the way up to 34! Building self esteem is another good reason this shop is around as people are not limited for choice and have to resort to just donning a massive sheet like kaftan on, which is not very flattering. For the extra fabric involved in making a piece it is not expensive compared to standard sizes and besides, there are various price tags depending on what you like and what you can afford. So if you know of someone who is struggling to find clothes to fit them and getting a little depressed, this is a good store to go to for sizes and a friendly assisted service.

I contacted the store spoke to Michelle who was extremely helpful and nothing was a problem. It was refreshing to have good old fashioned customer service. The women's clothing boutique has only been open since October 2010 and has a small following, as with all new shops it takes a while to become known and established. Apart from clothes there's jewellery and handbags plus other accessories, so there's an appropriate mix. The change rooms are spacious which is great. So I hope I inspire a few of you to go and check it out. There's a good range of summer clothes and when I was here today, I looked through a long rack of 50% off clothes but alas didn't have my size. Talking about size the range goes from about an 8 to 16 and price wise is very good from approximately $15 to $80. I looked on their website which mentions every Saturday they have 'happy hour' from 10 - 11am as everything is 10% off. Now this is something very unique and I haven't seen or heard of any other clothing store doing such a promotion. Well done Ruby for some lateral thinking. But oh so gorgeous and there is a small range of accessories to go with your purchase. As with all designer labels they carry a hefty price tag, out the front is a rack of discounted items incase your budget doesn't stretch to infinity. The shop is small but packed wall to wall with designer names like Anu, Lola, Suboo, Tahlula, Tigerlilly and more but also many Australian labels too. For those into designer brands this shop has got it all and you will most likely find what you want. They also have a online shop and a Facebook page in case you can't pay a visit in person to Grange. For the little girl in all of us who ever dreamt of being a model but the genes had other ideas, just immerse yourself in an indulgent browse and it'll also be so much cheaper.

The clothes represent some iconic women's brands from Australia which was nice to see in my Insta-feed from LA. I watched all the posts for over a year before finally arriving back in Australia and awaiting my chance to go. I have to admit the shop was so unassuming for something I'd been looking forward to visiting for so long, I couldn't find it at first. The clothes in store just don't have the same appeal as they do on the girls on Instagram - poor merchandising. You really have to look hard to find something you like but you most likely find more than one thing. They don't have many sizes and cater to a fairly young aesthetic - but given the prices, a cashed up audience as well. I've bought a few pieces and have loved them at first but been disappointed with how they wear. Worth a look!
