If it weren't for the modern soda fridges and the modern lables on the canned goods, you'd swear you were living a scene from "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" The store features a small dining room in the adjacent space on the right. While you can get a really good burger, you really should order the fish. The fish being catfish fried to perfection. Firm, golden and crispy on the outside and flaky and moist on the inside. Perfection. We had the fish snack which was three pieces, two hush puppies, fries and a slice of raw onion (its a Southern thing.) McClellan's also offers fried pies, including strawberry, blackberry, coconut and chocolate. Even if you don't want lunch, consider getting a fried pie to enjoy on your trip. While in the area, don't forget to visit the Bear Bryant birthplace and the Mark's Mill Civil War battlefield and cemetery.
