I was so upset when my gyno of 40 years retired, and was afraid about finding a new one -- this is a really personal kind of doctor! I feel so lucky to have found Dr. Maslyak. I find her warm, friendly, painless, professional and kind -- interested in me as a whole person, not just my vagina! I'm quite surprised to read these negative reviews. The office is very beautiful. The front desk has three ladies, they all speak multiple languages. We were called pretty much right after filling in personal information. Nurse Victoria was the one who took us to the room and quickly went through all the information and listened to all concerns. A couple of minutes later Dr. Maslyak walked in and she was friendly and super knowledgeable. The office had an ultrasound machine which makes everything faster and easier for the patients and doctor. Billing lady was straight forward with all the prices and helped with all paperwork. read more

Best G-specialist in the area I have been coming to Svetlana for many years and I'm always happy with her service. Everyone in the office is so friendly and helpful. From making an appointment to the billing process I never had a problem with them. I see some bad reviews from past years and it's surprising me but I guess it's probably because they had a smaller office. Now they expanded and I hope you will stop by and check their new location in Hollywood. And yes, she is booked a month or 2 ahead sometimes so you have to be patient with your first visit but believe me it's worth it! It only means she's the best in what she does and people know that. The worst experience I've ever had in any doctors office. The wait time is usually more than 2/3 hours, when you ask for information they don't know anything about anything. Problems with appointments, they are confused and no information provided. Last time waited for 5 hours and no explanation was provided why. Doctor will see you for 5 minutes consultation after a month of waiting for an appointment and 2 to 3 hours minimum waiting at the office, if you're lucky to be seen at all. Avoid this place, there are many great doctors to be wasting your time with this doctor/ office. Very unprofessional, I cannot believe such a practice it's possible. read more

My wife was a first time client and it took her almost a month to schedule the first appointment and when she did the office made a mistake and made it in the morning when in reality it was not, so she missed that one. When she rescheduled she has to wait another two weeks and when she came in the first time at the time of her appointment, all of a sudden the office tells everyone that was waiting that the doctor has an emergency and had to leave and will only be back in an hour. Make not there were a lot of people waiting at that time. No other doctors and tons of people just sitting for 2-3 hours waiting for a doctor who isn't even present. Not sure where all the good reviews are coming from! BEWARE! Did my pap test there because of acute symptoms of candidiasis. They told me they found nothing but HPV (it has nothing to do with candidiasis as you may know) which they needed to take additional tests for to confirm. Paid for both test almost $300. Got some pills prescribed which did not help treating candidiasis at all. Now, when I am asking to have pap/HPV test results which I paid in full they are claiming they will NOT give them to me unless I have biopsy done with them ($300+) to follow-up on HVP!!! What an outrage! I still have a terrible candidiasis which was never treated properly. Going to file a case with my credit card to have my money refunded for the services they did not provide. Also, considering to report their actions to the Miami-Dade County Consumer Protection Agency and the Office of the State Attorney if they continue acting this way and refuse to give me what I have already paid for. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Terrible experience! read more

My baby is now 12 months old and I just waited for this time to see if my emotions calm down. When I tell people about my experience with this doctor they get shocked and recommend that I share with the public. She was recommended to me as a great Russian speaking doctor and I put all my trust in her and shouldn't have. Since the day one I had to deal with a rude receptionist Eleonora straight from Russia. She had no manners. It all continued with 3-4 hours wait for appointment visits. Every visit it seemed that the doctor simply doesn't care at all and just wants to get it over with. Since the day one she was trying to sell me a C-section and I just wasn't going for it, since I had no real reasons. She missed on my very low iron and yeast infection, I literally had to beg her to pay some attention to those issues. When my baby was already flipped down, she told me she wasn't and yet again tried selling C-section. I knew my baby was flipped because of the heart beat and kicks coming up and I am not an MD! She never really listened to what I had to say. 2 days later we did a US and the baby showed flipped. When it came a time to give a birth, my water broke with meconium and we went to the hospital. When the nurses called the doc I overheard their conversation, she kept pushing the C-section, even after entire hospital told me that as soon as all the other conditions are met (which they were in my case) I can give a natural birth. Then I was laboring for about 16 hours and a nurse came over and said that I was open 7 sm and they are calling my doctor to get her over. When Maslyak showed up she told me I was only open 4 sm and I should get guess what??? Of course a C-section! My husband told her there is no way she is right and she argued with everyone with her heavy Russian accent. The sale of a C-section continued for another almost 2 hours and I felt it was a time to get my baby out. Every sensation in my body told me that. She kept pushing a C-section. They kept taking advantage of a very tired emotional woman and kept pushing the surgery. We refused and said it's not event an option. I kept begging her to try and push the baby out. Finally, 2 hours later she started... and the baby was out in 15 minutes... that meant I was ready to go a long time ago... it seems that this doctor is all about money and has no heart. Please think twice before you go with her. I highly recommend to stay away, as there is other doctors out there, that would do their best for you. the only good part of that office was a nurse Victoria, but she won't be with you and the delivery. So highly highly recommended you guys stay away from this doctor for a such an important period of your life. read more

These type of appointments are not my favorite at all whatsoever!! Lol But it's extremely important and something us women have to do every year. I really love Dr. Svetlana Maslyak she is super sweet, gentle and really makes you feel comfortable. You can ask her absolutely anything without feeling uncomfortable or awkward. She's funny and super knowledgeable in everything! Dr. Maslyak really knows her stuff! The are many doctors that have been practicing for many years and after awhile kind of treat patients differently and go through their appointments quickly with not the same gentle care... Dr. Svetlana! She can be super busy back to back and she will still take her time with you in a caring manor. Yes, waiting can take long at times but I'm extremely picky and shy when it comes to ob/gyn. So I'm ok with waiting and yes... it takes a while to be able to book an appointment but again I can deal with it ‍ Her office is located right of 95/Sheridan. Super easy to get to and plenty of parking. If you don't have insurance expect to pay $200 but I highly recommend her. read more

By far the best physician in the medical industry! Dr. Maslyak delivered both of our children. Her guidance and medical knowledge are second to none! Our second pregnancy was very complicated and considered high risk. Dr. Maslyak helped us every step of the way. I would give her 10 out of 5 stars if I could. Office is disorganized. They don't return calls. The doctor was nice on the first visit but very quick and careless on all the other ones. We had some unfavorable results on some blood work and they didn't tell us until two weeks later, following several ultrasounds. If we had that information sooner we would have been spared a lot of pain. This doctor is unavailable and undependable. Vika and the staff should be ashamed. read more
