In my opinion, the food at Swadisht is better than a lot of Indian restaurants in the US. The curry does not over power you and they have a wide selection of dishes to choose from. When you order your dish, it only comes with the curry. So you have to order rice and naan separately. There are a wide selections of naans and rice to choose from. My favorite is the garlic naan. For vegetarians, they have a separate vegetarian section. You can also choose the spiciness of the curry. 1 for being not spicy to 5 being very spicy. I tried the level 3 spiciness but did not think it was spicy at all. I will definitely try a level 4 the next time. Granted that I love spicy food, a level 3 is probably good for the average eater.
I also got a half bottle of malbec so the total at the end of the night (curry, rice, naan and wine) came out to around R$180. So yes, it is pretty expensive. However, seeing how there are very few indian restaurants in the entire Brazil, I would dish this out again in the future. Not every week but at probably at least once a month or once every 2 months. read more
