Crab cakes okra, gumbo. Looks good, tastes great

Gumbo with shrimp, okra, crab cakes.looks great tastes even better. Easy walk from the hotel. Friendly staff. Love the paintings on the wall.

The sign screams Cajun and the food backs it up!

So many choices in the area and we definitely made the right choice! My friend is visiting and has celiacs so sometimes it's tough to find the right fit for all of us. We arrived at Swamp Daddy's and never have I ever seen so many gluten free menu choices! Never have I ever seen so many CAJUN gluten free menu choices in my life, the rue usually takes them off the list!! We were greeted with a smile and a welcome by a lovely young lady that was genuinely happy to see us! She offered us any open spot in the place! We chose the bar because the seats looked so comfy! They're a bit low but they're definitely comfy! We each got a nice cold beverage, they have beer, seltzer and wine and placed our order. We got the Cajun Fries for appetizer and they came out hot and fresh with all the crispy goodness we wanted. Would have liked some kind of Cajun aioli to go with them rather than the bottled ranch but the fries alone were good. We each got the Blackened Shrimp and it was divine! There were plenty of shrimp and the pile of jambalaya seemed endless!! The flavor was amazing and the sauce was to die for! I'll definitely be back before we head back out on the road, I'd like to try a little more of the menu, it was all solid choices!

Pork belly sandwich (comes with choice of side--mac & cheese)

Super tasty food! I got the pork belly sandwich which comes with a side (I chose mac & cheese.) The pork was cooked perfectly and super flavorful. The cheese could have been distributed a bit better but the mac & cheese was still tasty. Fair price for a lot of yummy food :) Highly recommend!

We were looking for a unique place to grab lunch close to Falls Park in Sioux Falls and found Swamp Daddy's mainly on the tasty looking pictures from Google. Walking in, the place was bright and fun with a little southern flair added in. We decided to try their sandwiches for lunch. The po'boys were authentic to New Orleans cooking right down to the Tabasco infused Cajun mayo. The catfish was cooked perfectly and did not have a strong, fishy taste. The breading was light and crisp and seasoned perfectly on both fish and shrimp. The French fries that came with the sandwiches were double battered, sprinkles with Cajun seasonings, and super crunchy. Loved those fries! Prices were a tad spendy but the unique food and proximity to downtown/Falls Park made it a bit more understandable. Good place for some good Cajun food in SD.

Blackened Shrimp & Jambalaya

Pretty good cajun food! The blackened shrimp with jambalaya & a side of gumbo were very flavorfull & had a pleasant kick to them. My wife had the pork belly po'boy which she enjoyed, but would probably ask for the cajun mayo on the side next time (she sadly can't handle any heat). The crawfish hush puppies were...yeah...we could've eaten a couple orders of those. Recommended!

I was excited to dry this place. The gator appetizer was disappointingly dry. The homemade sauce was not good. I was not impressed with the jambalaya or gumbo either. The best one was the fish fry. The server who waited on me was attentive and friendly.

Who Dat Burger

The only reason I kept this at a 4 is the service is warm and welcoming. The burger for this year was ok. Too salty to begin with. The flavors were kind of bland. The short rib was nice and texture was good but no flavor. The chips were not my favorite. Hope they can only improve.

Food was pretty good, but the portion was a bit small with the price that they are charging

Food was pretty good, but the portion was a bit small, especially with the price that they are charging Pretty good Cajun fries The alligator tastes pretty yummy and not tense Overall not too bad

As someone who loves New Orleans cuisine and has been to 12 Mardi Gras, I was so excited to eat here. Finding some Cajun cuisine in Sioux Falls isn't easy. Our waitress was super friendly, with great big beautiful hair. Perfect for her job. The appetizer of fried pickles came out and was excellent!! Then came the lunch platters. My catfish, hushpuppies, and fried shrimp had no seasoning. So bland. One thing about true N'Orleans cuisine is that it doesn't ever lack seasoning!!!! The Jambalaya was so dry that it was like eating dehydrated chicken and sausage. Then when the bill came, with a nice tip for the excellent waitress, a meal for 3 cost $90!! With those prices and the mediocre food, I won't be back. One and done. If the food was true, N'Orleans, I would come back. I urge the owners to try the food.

The Boot
Paul B.

Tuesday night in downtown Sioux Falls with Rhonda. She wanted to try this place and I am glad she did. If you like Cajun flavors this is the place to try. I had 'The Boot' and the only thing I would change is to slice the eggplant thinner. That is just me, I like my eggplant sliced thin and fried like a chip. I recommend you try 'The Boot'. Rhonda loved the shrimp tacos too.

Maybe the worst cajun food I've ever had. The owner was kind, and the food was edible, but certainly not cajun.

We arrived for our reservation and were seated at a table that wouldn't allow a high chair by restaurant rules. We were moved to a much smaller table that couldn't accommodate the 5 of us. The table was also located directly under a very loud speaker and a television. When asked if this table was ok, we stated our concerns that the table was very small and that our family couldn't hear each other due to the speaker. The hostess said it was all they could do. We decided to give it a chance as it was our first time here. My husband ordered the pulled pork sandwich and I ordered the chicken honey almond penne. Husband says the pulled pork itself was good but the onion rings inside the sandwich were stale making the sandwich feel past expiration. My penne was completely over cooked to the point where the chicken was more of a jerky consistency and the pasta was disintegrating if you tried to use your fork to collect it. Our other guests enjoyed the steak stating it was ok. From the start with our requests for accommodation being ignored to finish with possibly the worst dishes I've ever overpaid for, this experience was one I never would wish on anybody.

The jambalaya is by far the best in town. Great drink selection as well. We love the atmosphere and will recommend Grille 26 to our friends. This place was a pleasant surprise, being from Southern California I figured I would set the ball…read morelow since we grow up with out of this world Mexican food and it wouldn't be entirely fair to judge it the same way. But they nailed it on this Sunday! Would have thought I was back at home this place was delicious . The margaritas were beautifully crafted, the table side guacamole lady is hard to find and so refreshing, she nailed it, so good. By that point I was already seated and committed, but that's something I wish I'd checked beforehand. Because of that, I intentionally ordered something that would come out hot. Wasn't about to order a salad or anything that didn't need to be cooked. So I ordered the fajitas with chicken, steak, and shrimp. You know how fajitas are supposed to come out sizzling on a hot plate? These didn't. They weren't cold, but you could definitely tell everything had been sitting back there for an extended amount of time. They didn't taste fresh at all. And it gets worse. Every time I've ordered fajitas with cheese and bacon anywhere else, you get solid melted cheese and crispy bacon. Here? Runny cheese sauce and bacon that had zero crispiness to it. The whole thing was a mess. The meat portions? Ok the pieces were cut up small. I was picking through all the vegetables and onions trying to find actual pieces of chicken and steak. A lot of peppers and onions. The Verdict: Plaza Azteca was a miss. The margaritas were decent but the fajitas were a lukewarm, runny, disappointing mess with small pieces of meat. Combine that with odd service and some concerning health reviews, and this is a two star experience at best. Won't be going back.

Wish I had found this place earlier in my trip so I could have come back again…read more Rachel was behind the bar and she was super busy when we first sat down. I'll be honest, I wasn't sure how the service was going to go. It was a little slow at first. But as the rush lightened up, she was awesome. Attentive, friendly, took great care of us. Sometimes you just have to be patient when a bartender is slammed, and Rachel proved it was worth the wait. The walleye was amazing. Fresh, perfectly cooked, exactly what you want when you're ordering fish. And the Moscow mules? Also amazing. Well made, refreshing, the kind of cocktail that keeps you ordering another round. This is the kind of spot you stumble into and immediately regret not finding sooner. Great food, great drinks, great service once things settled down. Real hidden gem! The Verdict: Kitchen 2210 delivered a five star experience. Rachel took care of us, the walleye was on point, and the Moscow mules were perfect. If you're in town, don't make my mistake.
