On my trip today, the man stocking the produce had his cart in the middle of the produce section, so there was really no way to get anything. I asked him if I could slip in and quickly grab a few things, and he made a really off putting comment about if I could see he was working, etc. Yikes. I've also been rung up before where the cashier just is on auto pilot, no hello, no small chit chat. Nugget, you carry things we like, and you're close to our home. Can you please give your employees some customer service training, or some reasons to feel joyful? TIA!

The Corte Madera Farmers Market is much smaller and more intimate than the Sunday Farmers Market at the Marin Civic Center. This isn't by any means a bad thing. Bigger isn't always better (or so I've been telling girlfriends for years). Here's the way I look at it - instead of a full kitchen, you're getting a kitchenette. Instead of a full length feature, you're getting a really good short film. It's like the Mini Me of Farmer's Markets. And you know what - that's a-ok by me. Smaller crowds. Prettier environment. Plus, when I'm done shopping, I can poke my head into others stores at the Town Center (Safeway, CVS, Crate and Barrel, etc.). You'll find many of your go-to produce and meat/poultry vendors here. Plus, they have my favorite Indian/Nepalese food vendor here (gotta get me some momos, samosas and dipping sauce). And unlike many of its counterparts, this Farmers Market is open from noon to 5pm (which is much better for my schedule). It's definitely worth checking out. Happy shopping, my peeps! : )

You order at the counter, watch them make your creation, and pick it up when it's done! They also offer mobile ordering. Service is always fantastic from everyone I've encountered! Since I work in Marin and got my coworker hooked, we sometimes stop by for açaí before or after work. There are so many options for either signature or build-your-own bowls! I've been trying each signature bowl. This go around, I tried their Bom Dia A.M Breakfast Bowl in a size small. This was so delicious! I loved the fresh fruit, the texture of all the toppings, how rich and creamy it was, and the sweet yet refreshing taste. The smalls are always so filling for me, so I struggle to finish. Definitely keep that in mind! If I go any larger, I'm usually sharing with someone! I'd definitely order this again, but I have also loved everything I've tried. So happy that Palmetto is continuing to branch out and is successful in Marin. Glad to continue supporting them, especially since they're on my commute route! I stopped in quickly to grab a jar of their Gravy Base - we use it every year for Thanksgiving. Staff greeted me soon after I entered, asking if I needed any assistance. I didn't, but appreciated the offer. The gravy and other Thanksgiving items are conveniently and beautifully displayed near the entrance. I did quickly tour the store - fun to shop with the eyes! Over the years we've purchased pots and pans, wine glasses, dish towels, and more kitchen/dining items from them. That reminds me...my dish towels need a refresh!
