He tried making it sound like I was a risk to my son and a ton of other stuff. Even though I had a ton of people talk to him who have seen me and my son together and they all swore I was great with the kid, even another GAL swore how I was with him. He was not impartial he completely sided with the mother even after all the facts said I wasn't a risk to the child. He argued with medical professionals opinions using his "non existent" medical degrees to back his opinions. Then after the case he hit us with a huge bill that was never talked about once. He never brought up an hourly rate, never a estimate, nothing. He led me to believe that the 500.00 me and my ex paid were his fee. Never once hinting at more money owed. I asked him "why I would do that, because the case is almost over. I have a right to question anything about the case, especially when it comes to the money. Of course you don't know what will happen when you go to court, but Mr. Jensen did not try to settle or make an offer in my case. I don't think he even looked at any of the documents until the day of the court, and he was in a "pre trial meeting" with the judge and plaintiff's attorney for over 2 hours on the day of the trial. In my case i wound up paying more than if I had just paid what the plaintiff was asking. I had to pay attorney fees and court costs in addition to attorney Jensen's fee. I was looking for a fair price and I told attorney Jensen upfront...on the day I hired him that if it was in my best interest to pay what they were asking I would as I would not be able to afford any additional costs. He assured me that I should "absolutely NOT do that". Silly me...I fell for it and wound up on the hook for an additional $1500.00. Wow--what a great experience. Make no mistake...this is not about winning and losing...this is about not doing anything to represent your client. I know it is petty, but if I could give zero stars I certainly would. :(

He was friendly and seemed really interested in representing me. He told me to call him back in a few days and we would start the divorce process. I called him three days later and he didn't answer and left him a voicemail. After not hearing back I called two days later and he didn't answer. I left another voicemail that I wanted to proceed with the divorce and was seeking his representation like he agreed to. This went on nearly three weeks and I just gave up. Now this guy has all my personal information and refuses to call me back for some reason. About as unprofessional as it gets. Better yet my kids and his kids are in Cub Scouts and athletics together so when he sees me at events he avoids me and acts like we never sat down for an hour on a Saturday as I told him intimate details of my marriage. All he had to do was call me and say "Listen, I don't feel comfortable representing you since I know your kids and wife." I would have accepted that and moved on. No harm, no foul. Instead, he's made it awkward every time we run into each other. If considering a divorce attorney look elsewhere for someone more professional and has a little tact.
