You walk down the steps and through the gift shop to store your bags and coats in free lockers. There are several rooms where you see artifacts and documents. They're set up as if real scenes. And some of the artifacts are interesting, like the Danish palace as, the silver champagne boat, and the golden egg with hen. Several floors to walk through. It got very busy as the day went on. Amalienborg is the official official residence for the Danish royal family, and is located in…read moreCopenhagen, Denmark. Queen Margrethe ll resides in the palace during winter and autumn. It consists of four identical classical palace facades with rococo interiors around an octagonal courtyard (Danish: Amalienborg Slotsplads); in the center of the square is a monumental equestrian statue of Amalienborg's founder, King Frederick V. You can see the changing of the guards ceremony daily around 12pm. The guards march from Rosenborg Castle at 11:30am through the streets of Copenhagen to Amalienborg. Guard post replacements are a conducted every 2 hours. The ceremony is pretty cool and they change the guards at every post in the courtyard. The museum is not that great, but it has some nice exhibits and history. I cannot remember how much it costs for entry to the Amalienborg Museum, but if you plan on visiting a few attractions and plan on riding the public transportation (buses, train, light rail), then you can save a lot of money by purchasing the Copenhagen Card!!!

It's abit hard to find since it tuck in the side of an alley behind the opera main entrance and the Main Street. Cute, small and very imitate setting and depending on which type of play they're doing. It can be round (circle with main stage in the middle) or stadium type (seating in slope). Staff are very accommodating and very friendly. Nice, small and one of a kind place.

Malmö stadsteater is a gorgeous older building building, it's crammed in between narrow streets in a way that photographing the building itself was next to impossible in order to make the building justice. Entering the building is done through an ally behind "Hipp" bar and restaurant. When here, remember to look up and and take in the whole building. The stage is centered in a domed hall (or was at least for the show Amadeus) with lots of detail and craft that makes the stage itself a world to enter. I Went to see Amadeus (fall '14) and the show was quirky and fun. I loved the costume and use of a circular stage. Tickets are affordable at 100-320SEK/pp.

I have just been at Operaen for the first time. This is my thoughts about about the venue and the…read morefacilities. Operaen has just turned 10 years, and unfortunately it shows. It looks a bit worn out. This place should be a magical luxury palace for music, dance, entertainment. The feeling of magic and luxury evaporate, when e.g. seat covers are ready to be changed, tiles at especially staircases have pieces missing, and the cleaning is less than perfect. The artists make a big effort to put up a spectacular performance, but the surroundings but them down. Their is not a attention to details. Tables are but forward to put your empty glass after finishing your drink. How about table cloths at those tables? How about containers for your trash (you can buy sandwiches, which are served in a box). The entrance hall had piles of sandwich boxes all over the place. At the restrooms the bins were packed with paper towels. Operaen have a great potential. It is situated at that special place in the harbour just a the seaside with a look at Amaliehaven, Amalienborg and the wonderful Marmorkirke. It is spacious, and you can avoid to get cramped, if you just go to 2nd or the 3rd floor. Even with a full house. It looks like the artists have all the equipment and room to put of a show. Come early before a show (two hours I will say), because you have a lot to do. At ground level both to the left and right you can lay your coat for a small fee. Below level you can hang you coat for free, but their is no security. At every level you find bars with a small but very fine selection of beverages (avoid queues in the breaks and preorder), sandwiches, and snacks. Enjoy yourself, the other guests, the expectation, the views and so on. 30 minutes before the show they give a short introduction at 1st level to the left in the entrance hall. You can also eat dinner at the Operaen.

It's a broad, open expanse of green, mostly lawn, trimmed and tidy, with long walking paths that crisscross between patches of trees and neatly kept flowerbeds. Marble statues stand watch here and there -- noble, a bit weathered, as if they've seen centuries of quiet afternoons like this one. No one's playing games or picnicking or frolicking -- it's more a place for gentle strolling, for couples holding hands or locals cutting through on their way home. It's pleasant, peaceful, even regal in its restraint. But honestly? Not quite the showstopper its royal name might suggest. A fine garden, yes -- but more for the calm than the spectacle.

It's an area where you are surrounded by artwork everywhere, from murals to an actual plane displayed above a restaurant's seating area. Since I had already eaten before I got here, I grabbed a drink and sat down to enjoy it, while watching people fishing. Outside of the restaurants, there is an adequate amount of seating. There are bleachers and public seating centrally located because some of the restaurants don't have seating. There are also a handful of shops, including clothing and even glass blowing. The restrooms are unisex, previously metal shipping containers.

There are also a number of great craft creators. The list is truly endless of what goes on here and what this place has to offer. Located on the far side of the city, many of the local residents drive here. You can also get by bus or taxi. Or, as I prefer, take the long and very scenic walk to bring you here. Once here, you can sit back and enjoy a great meal, a fun drink, socialize with your family and friends, meet new people, you name it. The food is all located in separate stalls. Each one offers a truly unique take on whatever flavor they emphasize. There are also tons of drink stands where you can find your favorite libation. They also have very nice sitting spaces set up all over the area. From chairs along the waterfront, to seats in the sand, onto tables, you name it... This is truly a must experience location in Copenhagen.
