In…read moreother words, if you're unhappy when you call, they very smartly make unfortunate comments to convince you it's not worth your time or emotional energy. Today Debbie M. would talk over me and go on long monologues... then complain that I wasn't letting her talk. I said "okay, stop, you've answered my question." After which she started a new lecture on how I wasn't letting her talk. My issue was I didn't use the services as I cancelled my appointment and asked for a refund. (NO WAY! I was told I'd signed up for a membership.) I told her I believed I had signed up for services and not a membership but was willing to listen to the recorded call when I'd originally moved forward w payment. This was not acceptable as their policy was not to give a refund after charging one month prior. Instead of a refund, I would pay $197 to not have to deal with Life Wise customer support again. The nurses are actually very good. However, they sold me an add-on for $99 that basically resulted in recommendations instead of data. I made the mistake of telling Debbie M that fact which sent her into a diatribe of telling me what I'd received and how I should have seen the benefits. IF you use them, 1. sign up on line, 2. Never call customer service or talk w the person at the desk when you arrive. 3. Engage and talking w the nursing staff is fine.

THE ULTRA SOUND OF SILENT KILLERS I have been going to…read moreLifeline Screening (LLS) for years after I receive their annual mailer telling me that they're coming to town. They hold their annual screening sessions in various different public venues every year. This year, I went to Unity Church in Bellevue to do only the 4 tests promoted in this year's mailer for $149. They also have other tests that they will try to upsell you to, but they usually don't overdo this. The mailers give you a promo code and a phone number to call (or www.lifelinescreening.com) to set up your appointment. They also tell you when you last had certain tests and whether or not you need to have them done again this year. Their tests also include finger pricks to take blood samples, but mostly ultrasounds to test for "silent killers", blood clots, etc. Their mission is to do the kind of tests that Medicare or your health insurance will only cover once you show symptoms. By that time, it could be too late, if the first symptom is a stroke or a heart attack! GREEN = "GO", RED = "STOP", BUT YELLOW DOES NOT MEAN "GO VERY FAST." To have those same tests done at your doctor's office would cost a bit more. This is why LLS focuses only on preventative tests that could uncover potential silent killers. Only bummer is that they do not take insurance. They send you the ultrasound test results in 3 weeks, prepared in a professional pleasingly graphic format that can be easily understood by you and your doctor. Their graphic results show green if you have "no blockage"(OK), yellow if you are in the "mild blockage" (MEH) zone, and red if you are in the "severe blockage" (OMG!) zone. Oh, they will be sure to bring it to your immediate attention if you ever hit the red zone on any of their tests. INSTANT FINGERSTICK RESULTS GOT STUCK ON HOLD? Fingerstick test results have always been given to me right away in the past. But for some reason I did not get them this year. Whether they forgot, or changed their policy re: fingerstick test results, I don't know yet. Perhaps a future update will reveal this. Like the ultrasound test results, Fingerstick test results (mailed 3 weeks later) are also printed out in the green "good to go", yellow "prepare to stop" and red "STOP!" format. But instant results are simply printed out on a small piece of paper showing your results as compared on a line graph to the health standard that one should meet, but without the "traffic light effects."

She never confirmed the costs. The next day when I checked the invoice from Anika I saw she booked me for the $2400 scan not the enhanced $3999 scan. I had already booked my flight and car for the specific time and date of scan. I emailed Anika with her mistake she did call back right away. However she said she would have to change the appointment.... to another day. Only when I explained that I was flying in from another state specifically for that day did she actually try to find another appointment time available on that day. But why would she have to change the time? Next, Prenuvo only uses Quest Diagnostics for lab work. Quest Diagnostics does not have any labs in Idaho. So this was another thing I had to try to figure out once I got to Seattle. I was not able to book an appointment in advance. I went first thing in the morning of Prenuvo appointment to the Quest Diagnostics lab across from the hospital in Bellevue. They don't actually take walk ins and their first appointment was about when I needed to be at Prenuvo. What made it more frustrating is that the Quest clinics are a touchscreen run facility. There is no one to talk to and their joke of a phone service directs you to their website . No human contact or interaction. So no way to resolve anything. I called Prenuvo to get some assistance in finding another option for bloodwork. At the same time I drove to another Quest clinic in Kirkland. Luckily I got right in there probably only because the regional manager for Quest Diagnostics was sitting in the check in/ waiting room when I arrived. She helped me cut through the crap on their system. However, you should know, I did not receive a call back from Stephanie at Prenuvo with any assistance from Prenuvo on getting bloodwork done until later that afternoon. Then came the MRI scan. The front office was clean enough as were the changing rooms. It was when I was walked back to the MRI room and the technicians room that the stench hit me. There is no other way to describe the odor than Indian Curry farts. Both the technicians room and even stronger in the MRI room especially when in the MRI itself. I had to lay there and breath that for an hour and 15 minutes. There was some strange crumpled up blue plastic like sheet that I had to lay on. It looked like it had been used before, many times. When the MRI was finished, I told the technician and the gal that worked the front desk about the odor and asked if they were cleaning regularly. I suggested spraying everything they could with Lysol including the air because, damn, no one should have to smell what I did for the duration of a lengthy scan. The technician feebly pulled out a container of Clorox wipes and told me he wipes everything down with them after every use . Doubtful, I couldn't get out of there fast enough and I couldn't get that stench off me. I was still smelling it after showering the next day. Now I'm waiting to see what happens with all the lab work and scan results.

The imaging of my ankles wasn't clear, which was a bummer on the full body scan, so I recommend if you are 5'8-5'9 and want ankle imaging that you confirm in writing that they'll get those images (they have a height cut off for below the knees images). Overall, I'd 100% recommend! Oh, they gave me a $300 off link for friends who get scans that I can share.

He didn't tell me when he was done (and I had my head to the side with my eyes closed trying not to faint) - he just turned his back to me and started racking up the vials. Once I had enough mental capacity, I asked him if he could help me lean back my chair and get me some water. He exited the room to grab water, told the two people waiting it was going to be a while because I almost passed out, then gave me the water. I laid there for a bit but didn't want to take up the other people's time, so, despite my hands being numb and my lips blue I left. I've never had someone drawing my blood turn their back to me and blatantly ignore me while I'm on the verge of passing out. Is that even safe? It felt like the bare minimum of care and compassion was missing here. It also felt like he was taking his sweet time despite there being multiple people waiting for extended periods of time (at least an hour). The Safeway in Ballard is sketchy on its own. I don't recommend this location.
