They also had a comfy waiting area stocked with complimentary coffee and snacks, but I didn't need to wait long because I was out of there within an hour, oil changed and tires rotated. Their prices are fair and they accept both credit card and cash/Zelle (if you want to avoid the 3% credit card surcharge). During the oil change they also noted some things that will need repair, but weren't pushy with their recommendations. For that I am very appreciative, and will most definitely come back for their continued services.

It was not. He was wedged in there for 12 hours with no food, no water, and zero litter box access. He was absolutely losing it. I ran through every option. Fire department? Busy with the actual chemical explosion rattling all of OC, fair. Animal control? Ghosted me. My cousin, currently out of the country, tried Tesla Roadside Assistance through the app. Tesla's answer: their technicians are not trained to rescue animals. Noted, but deeply unhelpful in the moment. Two other mechanics passed too. Jesse was my third Yelp attempt and my last real option. He showed up within two hours, no fuss, and got straight to work. He tried everything - the frunk, underneath, removing the right wheel - methodically working different angles for an hour and a half because my cat had chosen the most inconvenient possible position to be chonky in. Jesse stayed patient the entire time and got him out safely. My cat is home. He is fine. He is completely unbothered, as cats are. Jesse showed up when nobody else could. That is not something I will forget. Oh, and his prices are insanely reasonable. If you need a mechanic who will actually show up and problem-solve, Jesse is your guy.

An organized person would have adjusted plans and communicated Wednesday if they had issues/delays Tuesday. Then, at 2PM calls back and says looking more like 530PM. And then he says... oh? Did I give you a price already? Oh that's actually a lot of work and says it'll actually cost 60% more. That was enough to call it quits. While I can't speak to his mechanic abilities, he fell short on: 1) being able to accurately understand and estimate work before quoting, or worse, stick to his quote when he gets busy 2) ability to plan his schedule and communicate reasonably. I hope he learns from this and other experiences and reaches his potential through better consistency.

He gently pushed against the fender until the crease went away and pulled the bumper edge outward until it lined up flush against the fender. He did some other work quickly and finished after I came back from lunch. I couldn't believe my eyes! I got three other quotes up to $2600 requiring to replace the bumper and paint the fender to match! The car is over 5 years old but the entire body is in great shape. I wasn't looking for a perfect repair. Lawrence at the start asked if I wanted a perfect restoration or something reasonable. I definitely wanted something reasonable because I didn't want to go through my insurance company for an aging car. After he finished the repair, you can't even notice any damage. I wish more body shops were more honest like Signature Auto body. Last thing, I plan to come back with my other car that needs more extensive work but at least I know I'm dealing with someone who I can trust! :)

My short review: Go to J&B imports if you own a Saab, they will diagnose and fix any Saab issues in an honest and timely manner. Don't waste your time with other auto repair shops. My long review: Saab is a Swedish car and you can't take it anywhere to get it fix. Other european car shops would be useless unless they have a Saab trained mechanic. All the staff from J&B are authentic Saab mechanics. Bud the owner has a collection of limited edition retro Saabs. He used to race and truly knows the car inside out. J&B diagnose the real problem immediately every time I visit, straight forward no fuss style. Bud is a grandpa who holds great standards in values and morals from the old days. They will make it right and make sure any concerns you bring up are taken care of. His motto is to treat a good customer right and fairly. I asked many questions and they never dodge my questions or concerns, always a straightforward answer. They would tell you if you need to fix something right there right now or you'll be in trouble (either it'd be dangerous to be on the road or you'd be facing more fatal damages in other parts). They would also let you know if you could wait on fixing something, and give you suggestions on how to deal with it at the mean time (I'm fresh out of college and broke). I was able to prioritized and focused on parts needed to be replaced first, so I could fix my car but not spending every penny I own at once. My parents (live in Taiwan) both own Saabs, hence every jobs done at J&B for my car were "double checked" by my mom through Taiwan's Saab dealership/mechanics. And the recommendations/repair works done by J&B were the same as what my parent's Saab mechanics would've done for my car. (My parents always ask for photos so they could ask their mechanics what needs to be done). To satisfy and get my parents' approval to fix my car is not an easy task. They want to make sure I wouldn't be taken advantage of so it's a repeating process of asking J&B a series of questions and taking photos. -Why I said don't waste you time with other repair shop- I lived in Utah and Michigan previously. By the time I moved to CA my car had quite some issues from all the salt used in those snowy states. When I found out my car was leaking oil I visited two auto repair shops based on yelp reviews. One of them, an european auto repair shop gave me a list, told me they would need to replace parts from number one to six (step by step) until whichever step fix the oil leakage. It was a red flag for me, it meant they didn't know what the real issue was, so I came to J&B and they told me what the real issue was right away. I took my SAAB 2006 93 turbo to J&B Imports for transmission repair, which was beyond repair. They found me a newer year used one, did the install and fixed my AC for a good price. They also did extras like fix my windshield squriters and a broker rear view mirror on the house. I found J&B from a recommendation and glad I did. They are now my SAAB mechanics. Turns out, King is a Porsche guy through and through and I knew as soon as I met him that my car will be in good hands. He took pictures of the work throughout the process. The Tech (Matt) was able to fix all my mess. I can tell these guys enjoy what they do, very knowledgeable, honest provides great customer care, and very reasonably priced. Best of all, I was fully expecting to Uber back and forth but they offered me a free loaner car as well (Porsche Cayenne). Beyond an oil change, no more DIY on this car and I'm now a forever Redline customer as long as I own a Porsche.

A few hours later, I called for an update and was told they had found a parasitic battery drain and needed to run additional tests. Later that day, they called back and said the problem was simply a faulty battery and that replacing it would solve the issue. I approved the repair, which ended up costing about $430 for the battery. After picking up the car, I immediately noticed that some of the electronics were not working correctly and it still felt like the battery was being drained. Because the original diagnosis didn't seem to match the symptoms, I took the vehicle to Al's Electric Repair in Anaheim, a shop that had successfully fixed an electrical issue on another vehicle of mine. Al's quickly identified a parasitic drain caused by a camera installed inside the cabin. Once they repaired the drain, the electrical issues disappeared and the car has been running properly ever since. What concerns me is that the first shop initially told me they had found a parasitic drain, but later concluded that the battery was the only problem. Whether the battery needed replacement or not, the actual drain remained and was causing the issues I brought the car in for. Based on my experience, Al's Electric Repair accurately diagnosed and repaired the problem, and they have now successfully resolved electrical issues on two of my vehicles.
