It's on our right down a gravel road. Open 24hrs. Not sure if I fully endorse raw milk but like the idea of buying directly from the source. There is an automated dispenser. Looks very clean. You can buy a glass bottle for $4 or bring your own. $2.5 for a liter of milk. Coins or notes. Don't take cards. You can also get to see some livestock wandering around. The milk itself is as fresh as it comes. Full cream and hint of sweetness. Worth a try. There are also a few other locations you can get similar service throughout the South Island.

First, the local Formerly Black Ball Hilton serves the salami company's bangers, which are super delicious. At the salami shop, you can pick up their various flavors of salami including those made of venison, with and without garlic, etc. I am not a fan of salami that has a lot of lactic acid. And Black Ball salami is not that type. It's not too hard or fatty, but enough to keep it from being too dry. We liked their salami a lot. While you can get packages of Black Ball salami in Greymouth. They don't carry all the flavors but you can get some of then. What you cannot get are the packs of salami odds and ends at the shop which works out as a deal. By odds and ends, I mean imperfect slices and some chunky ends. They all taste superb regardless of how it looks. Now I didn't think about taking pics of the packages we bought (venison and regular w/o garlic; both were super delicious) or noting how much of a deal they are. Suffice it to say that the salami is tasty and you should go to the source, if you can. The shop also sells locally made cheese. While we didn't try those, you should and let us all know about it. Take a detour and check out the town, the hotel, and definitely the salami.

I would recommend the bangers and mash, but not the pork ribs. They were dried out, overly drenched in sauce on a bed of french fries. The french fries were fine, but not my favorite type and became soggy quickly with all the barbecue sauce. I definitely would not order the ribs again. For dessert we had the sticky pudding and it was excellent. A good variety of wine and beer choices. We recommend the Alice May export gold beer and the Villa Maria Pinot Noir.
