Amazing and delicious cake shop in pines. I've been coming to this location for years. They make custom cakes for weddings, birthdays and all occasions. They vanilla rum cake is one of the best I've ever tried. They do also sale cake by the slice and we often pass by and get a few different slices of different flavors. Slices run from $4-7 depending on the flavor. The service is always great. And they have such a nice vibe. I definitely recommend to support this small business. read more

It's been three years since I last ordered a cake from Sweet Art Bakery and I'm glad it's still around. Much haven't changed; cakes in various sizes, shapes, and design are neatly displayed throughout the bakery. They make custom cakes for any occasion...weddings, birthdays, quinceaneras, baby & bridal showers, holidays, etc. A variety of desserts and cupcakes are also made in an array of pretty designs, as well as slice cakes and cookies. Their popular vanilla rum cake is sold for $22. It wasn't that busy when I entered. I was wearing a mask, but I can smell the aroma of baked cakes from the backroom. I came in here on a whim while waiting for my shoes being fixed next door. It was my first time here and I decided to grab a slice while waiting. I ordered a slice of vanilla cake and it was very good. It had a very rich flavor. I wish they had more flavors by the slice. They seemed to have limited choices for slices. The person who helped me took a while to come out from the back. I didn't ask any questions but probably should have. I wonder if they have more flavors of full cakes available. I came here after reading reviews and was not disappointed. I didn't get a chance to order ahead but was happily surprised. I was able to walk in and out within 15 mins with a freshly baked and beautifully decorated vanilla rum cake for my Mom's 75th Birthday. The owner's were extremely helpful and nice. Everyone who has tasted this cake just loved it. I don't live in Florida but I did manage to bring a piece back with me to New York and believe me it didn't last long! Please do yourself, friends, family and loved ones a favor and get this cake. This is our go to bakery for Birthday cakes at work. We normally get the vanilla rum cake for everyone. We even got our daughter's 1/2 year birthday cake there (Yes we are "those" parents...). This place is great, they normally have cakes that they can prepare pretty quickly, which helps out on those forgotten birthdays, celebrations or my wife panicking over a last minute fiasco, which happens too often... and if my wife is reading this... I was just kidding... The place is small and simple and their staff is supportive and friendly. You can even by cakes by the slice. For my daughters half birthday my wife found a picture online and showed it to the Publix Bakery Staff so that they can make it. The cake was very affordable, however it took a few days to make and it was very sweet... my wife left the cake on the countertop because she didn't want it to get hard in the fridge, which resulted in the frosting melting all over it. While she panicked and tried to salvage the cake... I decided to go to Sweet Art Bakery to see if the can make a similar cake, they made if the same day and it came out amazing in both looks and taste, just in time for the celebration... however it was pretty pricey... but I think most bakeries are pretty expensive... All in all, the cakes are delicious and definitely worth it... we can't stop coming back. read more

Horrible service, first time in years of buying cakes at this location. The manager/owner should really consider better customer service and retention skills. My daughter ordered a 595.00 cake for a siblings birthday (we are a household of 8 so we eat cake often...) cake was ordered on 09-16-2020 to be picked up on 09-23-2020 upon cutting a small section of the cake no one liked the cake as it was dry, hard and taste like stale bread. The store was called and my daughter was told it was normal for that kind of cake. Which it's not true, I've been eating these cakes for years, i later called the manager directly and explained once again the problem with the cake and simply wanted an exchange and we would be happy, the manager refused and said as a courtesy he could supply a regular 20 dollar cake, I refused. I want what we paid for, I was willing to accept an exchange gladly as mistakes occur but was told no by him, He refused to provide a refund either. I pleaded with him to do the right thing and keep a long standing customer happy but he did not care and was not polite considering it was his mistake for selling OLD, STALE BREAD TASTING CAKE. I will no longer be providing business to this location , I will now drive down to the original location. My wife went to the competition and they were more than happy to help us since it was such special day, 21st birthday. I recommend to everyone stay away from this company, I'm okay with them making a mistake and selling me an old stale cake but at least be honest enough about it to replace it when the customer complains, Oh they blamed it on the cake design which is why the cake taste that way... really bad excuse. I offered to return the cake so they could taste it and they rejected that offer as well. Good bye to our business and $$$$ we will now do business with the nice people (at the other company) that helped us today after they neglected to fix their mistake. 595.00 for a 6 inch and 7 inch tier cake that taste bad. My mom, daughter, and went to this bakery to buy a cake. It was closed but you can order by phone and pick up. I was greeted on the phone by a very nice kid who happened to be the bakers' son. While we waited for the cake in front of the store, he came back and forth several times to get our preferences in color, decorations, etc. When our cake was done, mom and son came to the door to give it to us and said that they hoped we like it. Well, we more than liked it, we LOVED it!! Our vanilla rum cake (with just a slight hint of rum) was delicious!! It was moist and rich at the same time. The frosting complimented the cake too!! Once upon a time they were good, but we ordered 2 cakes from them recently and both times they were bad. The first time, the rum tasted like acetone. The second time, the top cake layer was dry, hard and definitely not fresh. The cake looked exactly like the picture I showed them with other requested addition. The two-tiered cake was the talk of the table along with workers and other patrons that were seated in the restaurant. The fondant cake was not only an eye catcher, it was moist inside and tasted great. The variety of flavored rum cakes available made it hard to narrow my selection down to just two (I chose pineapple rum on top and the vanilla rum on the bottom). Dangerous practice..... We had a cake done at this place for our daughter's birthday. As many do, her friends smashed her face in the cake, but we didn't know the cake had a stick inside to hold the cake in place. There was no warning label in the box stating stating there was a stick holding the cake in place... I find this very irresponsible... our daughters eye was hurt. By luck it did not hit the inside of the eye, but was left bleeding from the incident. When we let the Bakery know, all they said was that they told the person who picked it up.... again,very irresponsible in their part. A warning label in the box would really prevent future injuries.... read more

My sons birthday was this past Saturday and we order fondue cake my husband picked it up cake Friday and when we open the box the cake looked collapsed on the bottom and was very soft nothing like fondue should be. Horrible flavor and it taste like I was having a bag of sugar. I order from this place because the lady that does my cakes is not making any now because of COVID-19... I order vanilla rum coconut cake the manager told me that mix was $100 I said ok no problem, before picking up my cake I called and ask if it was ready I was told No which it was fine I didn't have a problem with that but, 2 min later I was called asking me if I wanted the same pic on both cakes at this point I was confuse I told the guy I order only one cake not 2 I order vanilla rum coconut cake and I order and paid for one cake. When I get to the store I was told it wasn't ready again I was ok with that but 10min waiting and the guy tells me ( we were confuse about your order we thought was 2 cakes vanilla rum and coconut so what had to find the receipt with your order and made sure that what you said over the phone was correct), I said yes I order one cake. Finally my cake was done after I waited 30min for it ( the pick up time was scheduled for 2pm I left at 245 not acceptable and, when I was giving the cake the guy told ( you know you got a good price for this cake because this type of cake it's a lot more ) I was actually shocked by his comment . First of all I did not make the price I was giving that price second I didn't get the cake for free but, I didn't say anything to him but I felt like I didn't pay for it with his out of line comment. The other mistake was they don't have a proper box a the cake I got and, the name on the cake was spelled wrong at this point I was upset. Finally when we cut the cake the flavor was disgusting no coconut flavor no rum flavor the cake was horrible and no one liked it the only thing good about the cake was moist that it the design of the cake was horrible the colors everything was horrible I was disappointed. The place I originally order cakes from are done so beautiful and professional compared to the horrible I did not get what I paid for I will never go back to this place. read more

Went by to order a single layer cake approximately 12" x 8" for about 15 people for a shower and was quoted $220.00! Tried to get the cost down by replacing with 2 plastic babies approximately 4" x 2" each on the cake to substitute for any extra work in creating 2 baby butts with pink diapers and was quoted $170.00! Ridiculous!!!! I was told it was their busy time. I would have preferred that they told me they couldn't take any more orders than chasing me away with an exorbitant price which no one would pay for that simple a cake. At least I would have continued to order from them in the future, but did not appreciate the price gouching & dishonesty because they were busy. I buy a lot of cakes so was glad when I found the bakery nearby. I had just ordered a 10" single layer round cake from them 2 weeks ago and paid $30.00. Unfortunately for them they just lost a frequent customer and probably many more customers who would have sampled their cakes and ordered from them because they were in the neighborhood. Better to order from an honest bakery with fairer prices, even if a little further away. read more
