A really cute self-serve ice cream shop! Loved the decor and the take-home candy section. They had delicious flavors like Cake Batter and NY Cheesecake, but also had a great selection of sorbets - Green Apple, European Tart, and Strawberry Lemonade. Perfect for dairy free people. Confused about all these negative reviews. Maybe there was a little span of time during the pandemic where the shop was not functioning at its best, but now, it's great. The store itself is SO cute and aesthetic on the inside. You barely have to interact with the workers to make your froyo happen. You get to choose which size cup (choose wisely because you pay based on weight) to fill up. They have a bunch of froyo flavors, my favorite being cake batter. Put as much as you want in and move over to the topping dispensers. I'm a big fan of the chocolate rocks, non pareils, and m&ms. My only qualm here is that sometimes you dispense the candy and just get powder, but you can get around this by turning it until the candy comes out properly. Next, go to the self topping bar, where I recommend cookie dough, any fruit, chocolate chips, etc. (Avoid gummies, they get really really hard). Top with hot fudge and whipped cream (no need to go light on that one since it weighs almost nothing!), and then pop it on the scale to get weighed. I used a small cup, packed it with froyo, toppings, and whipped cream, it came out to 6.8oz, and it was just over $5. I really don't think that's a bad deal at all!! I didn't realize the reviews for this spot were so low, wow! I didn't check Yelp before coming here, just stopped by as my friend and I were walking around downtown Franklin after dinner. We came in and initially were going to get ice cream, but then we saw the cookies so we got some and shared them: salted caramel (my favorite), peanut butter, and smore's. The smore's sign said smore's and magic cookie bar or something to that extent and when we asked what the magic cookie bar was, we were told it's just smore's. Alright then, really confusing sign OR we were told incorrectly. Cookies were soft and chewy, a bit too sweet. If I only got the salted caramel, I might've given it 4 stars, but the other ones dragged it down a bit. The person helping us was also pretty rude and made fun of my friend for not knowing what tap to pay was. That was entirely unnecessary and pretty mean, as the person helping us said my friend is not old enough to not know about new tech. While I agree, customer service does not work that way. Shop shouldn't be run by teenagers, or at least the people working here should be trained on how to speak to customers. Yikes. read more

However, today upon entering was hit was a thick overwhelming mold smell. Couldn't stay due to breathing and certainly wasn't buying anything. Mold spores get into anything that is not airtight. As we entered Sweet CeCe's, the staff couldn't help themselves but cheerily greet us like relatives coming to Sunday supper after church. Second time I've come before closing with my whole family and there are teenagers hanging out inside talking and the door is locked. They all just stare at me while I try to open the door. Both times they told me they closed early. If you are open til 9 then stay open til 9 otherwise say "may close early". What a waste of a drive. This was my first time coming in and it will definitely be my last. I was the only customer and even with 3 employees behind the counter no one acknowledged me at all. The teenagers were so busy talking amongst themselves they were irritated when I asked if they had any sample cups to test a flavor. One of them said no. Alright, that's inconvenient but no big deal. Problem was there were only THREE flavors available. Everything else was out. Irritated again, the same one teen just said "No we're out". Not even a plain chocolate? I was in this establishment on Friday November 27 and in case anyone forgot... we're in the midst of a global pandemic. The store requires masks, which I appreciate. However, the very ignorant, self-centered, callous employee with a bad attitude was not wearing a mask. When asked by another guest to put one on, she very reluctantly put one on just to rip it off a few moments later when they exited the store. I just find that highly unprofessional and quite frankly don't even really feel comfortable going back. I did not appreciate the attitude nor did I appreciate the pure selfishness and carelessness of the employees of this place. So all that to say if you are immunocompromised, or at high risk for COVID-19 this is not a covid friendly place to dine. When we walked in the two young ladies working were on there phones and dancing around with other teenagers that were hanging out. I give one star since one of the three young employees were kind enough to help me with getting Heath candy instead of the Butterfinger I accidentally chose. The chocolate candy flavors were not labeled. What's happening here? Normally I love Sweet CeCe's but the worker at this location today made it a bad experience. First of all they only had 6 flavor options, several of which were out. I asked her if the cheesecake flavor was gluten free and she just said "I don't know" and didn't check. Then I asked her if they had whipped cream and she again said (without checking) "I don't think so". Then when we were checking out she asked if I was pregnant. I might carry a little extra weight around... but I don't look pregnant... regardless she should know better than to ask anyone that. I love frozen yogurt. Or at least I THOUGHT that I liked frozen yogurt but after tasting Sweet CeCe's frozen yogurt, I think that I'm just addicted to the more TART frozen yogurt flavors. I'm from Southern California where self serve frozen yogurt places are a dime a dozen so I was curious about this place. Upon walking in, the first time I noticed was that you have to ask for samples. That was a little weird since I'm used to being able to sample everything yourself. After tasting a few, I settled on a combination of Cheesecake Bliss and Praline Praise. I got my usual toppings of fresh fruit, graham cracker crumbs and some sour worms. The toppings were just fine but I was a little turned off by my frozen yogurt. It was super creamy and sweet and tasted a lot like ice cream. If that is what you're looking for that Sweet CeCe is the perfect place for you. However, I'm just used to eating frozen yogurt that's a little less creamy and a lot more tart. I also noticed that it was a bit more pricey than I would like. But still a tasty treat for the summer. 3/5 read more

This past Saturday we went in here for dine fro yo - the place smells like it has MOLD - it's so over powering and awful we decided to get our stuff and sit outside - we paid fir 3 smalls and commenced to get our goodies - they had 5 flavors only 3 marked - when we got to toppings most were not marked - when we got to the fruit etc there were flys and fruit fly landing in everything - it was totally gross -I asked the girl to rec to the company to lid all those items and she said 'yeah' and we left - not going back - the moldy smell cannot be healthy and the quality is filthy if bugs are landing on it - Gross - CORPORATE?? management omg y'all need to do something imma ready to call the health dept on y'all read more

I really don't get the yogurt craze. I think yogurt is boring. What's more, I always screw up the topping and yogurt combination and end up with a flavor blend that just plain sucks. Seemed like a good idea at the time but now I'm stuck with a bowl full of nasty. That's not really CeCe's fault, but given the Baskin Robbins and Ben and Jerry's down the street, I don't see the do it yourself benefit. At B&J, they've already determined that the flavors work. And I can taste them before I buy. And -- when i go to B&J, I know exactly how much I will overpay for a scoop of ice cream before I commit. What are you supposed to do at the yogurt place if you get to the end of the line with a $12 bowl of rasberry lime yogurt with marshmallows and captain crunch? My favorite Sweet Cece's! My husband is so addicted to this yogurt he has been on a mission to visit all Sweet Cece's locations. We have been to this one several times. It is my favorite. They always have great flavors and a large variety of toppings. It is in an older brick building in downtown Franklin. You can eat inside and enjoy the country music playing or you can go outside to watch people and cars pass by. They change their decor according to the season so it always has a fun holiday feel.
