I decided on their Bourbon Chicken with Sweet Corn and Green Beans, and upgraded the white rice with fried rice. It was one of the items in the bowl section and I was curious what that meant. Sure enough, it came in a bowl when it was brought over after only about 6 minutes. I know bowls are becoming a thing and this one was stone, so that was cool. My bowl was very good. It wasn't overly sweet so you could appreciate the flavors of both the chicken and the sauce. It came with shiny green beans and sweet corn kernels and I learned corn is a little hard to pick up with chopsticks. We had a very good time with very good food and excellent service.

I have been eating pho since the mid-80's and have tried it in many states and a few countries, too. I was starting to feel discouraged because I had struck out a couple of times as I searched my area for a good place, the last being Demi's Noodle House, which served a terrible soup IMO. Thankfully, Pho Street came through! They have a nice building, a clean restaurant, and their servers were all extremely nice. No less than 3 people checked on me to make sure I was doing ok. The soup was served piping hot, the noodles were cooked perfectly and the broth was excellent. I did ask for rare beef and it came a little overdone, but not bad at all. Next time I'll ask for it raw in the hopes that it comes on a separate plate. One thing I think can be improved on is the lemonade. It didn't taste like the fresh, homemade lemonade that you find in most Vietnamese restaurants, it tasted like it was from a machine. Beyond that, I'll be back to Pho Street a lot, probably even in the next day or two! Thanks for the great food and service!

And everything came out in lighting speed. Sushi that others were eating seems nice/good and who knows how other Chinese/Vietnam food tastes. I gave 3 stars for everything other than Korean food. Every ingredient maintained its own identity while contributing to the overall flavor of the dish. Too many restaurants create flavor by drowning food in sauce. Hawkers does it through seasoning, spices, and technique. There was no puddle of sauce at the bottom of the bowl, no overly sweet glaze, and no greasy heaviness. When my Bao buns arrived with a sauce I had to question the server to see if this was a different sauce or the eel sauce and she said, oops, they must have missed the note so she took it back and a few minutes later brought out another one without the sauce. The lo mein noodles had a really funky taste also. The crab rangoon was equally disappointing, it wasn't crunchy when we got it and the flavor was a bit off. We were left really disappointed and not satisfied with the meal at all. The inside ambiance seemed decent and the woman at the takeout counter was very pleasant though. It might be a decent sushi spot, but we will probably just stick to something that suits our flavor palette better.
