Just moved to Houston and I ran across this small Business and they have the most AMAZING BANANA PUDDING! Best I have ever had.

So I came in a few days ago on Sunday my favorable day to get my fix. I know I know I'm a little late for my review, however let me just tell you. GO GO GO. Better yet, run to the Sugar Rush Too on ￦estheimer. Now l know l rave about sweets quit often but honey how could l not when everything they have to offer is good. Need I say more? With such a relaxed atmosphere even a Sugaroom with a sofa and TV for you to chill. Sweet Outdoor seating overseeing the beautiful strip of Westheimer also shaded seating on the other side. Mine and my daughters shared birthday cake came out PERFECT! I wanted something that didn't seem too difficult to make but would require an edible picture. It was my daughter's first and my thirtieth birthday and we needed the most amazing cake to celebrate. After being turned down by a few other bakeries and made to feel like my request was too crazy, Sugar Rush reassured me they could make it no problem. I sent a picture of what I wanted the cake to look like and spoke to the nicest, most understanding woman on the phone to confirm the details. We got a 6in cake with one layer chocolate and one vanilla, with chocolate frosting. The cake looked great and tasted even better. The cake was moist but not too dense and you could tell it was fresh. They were a pleasure to work with (I can be difficult) and never made me feel like my requests were outrageous or an inconvenience. Thank you so much Sugar Rush! read more

Customer service was great but want to please with banana pudding. It was just custard am me cookies. Banana pudding cupcake was good tho.

This location is high in quality to the eyes and the stomach. I ordered a mini Peach Cobbler Cake it was Delightful!

I made sure i came hear especially knowing its a privately owned buisness. I love to support privately owned buisness and believe they need You the Customer to succeed! Of course i had the peach cobbler and plan to get the cupcakes to go for the family. I got single served peach cobbler and a vanilla ice coffee. I relaxed and enjoyed my warm peach cobbler in the lobby! Complete with a tv and comfortable seats. Come support them but really look out for the buisness its in a small storefront shopping center right by firehouse subs and across the street from target. Ok, I tried the peach cobbler, the banana pudding and the sweet potato pie. NOOOOO! For all three, I have tasted much better. The banana pudding was ok but it had a soapy aftertaste. The sweet potato pie was comparable to the Patty pie you can buy from Walmart. The peach cobbler was extremely sweet and the crust left a lot to be desired. The crust was doughy. I really wanted to like the items but because they were so mediocre and my husband agreed regarding all three. I won't be returning to try any of the other desserts. I'm a southern girl so I know good banana pudding, sweet potato pie and peach cobbler but I am sad to say this was far from it, ( maybe it's this location, since this is a chain)My banana pudding and sweet potato pies run circles around these items. We were advised that the prices on the electronic board weren't correct. That changed the cookies from $1.25 to $2.25 EACH and they weren't even big enough to justify it. The employee also removed something from a cupcake on display while speaking to us. The way she scooped it out was real suspect. No thanks. read more

Terrible place and I hate saying this about black businesses but this place is an embarrassment and I will not ever come here again. My daughter had ordered a cake a wk prior to my grandsons birthday I paid handsomely for the cake that day I should've known this place was a problem then because they couldn't find the work order at first (disorganized). Fast forward to the next week, the day of the party my daughter gets an email to come at a certain time to pick up the cake. Once we get there on time of course we were told to wait 5mins, 15mins later a lady comes out to tell us they're having problems matching a color...WHAT this was supposed to be done already so my daughter agreed on a alternative color the lady returns to the back. I hear noise sounding in the back and told my daughter these people are just now doing the cake. The lady heard me and my daughter complaining and comes out explaining and apologizing but to say the least we were very agitated because we are now late to the party. A guy comes out and my daughter expressed her displeasure with the service and an offer of cupcakes or cookies were offered as consolation. We declined, soon after the cake finally arrived. On our way to the venue my daughter was contacted again offering a dozen cupcakes and some cookies we excepted. After the party we decided to go to Sugar Rush to get the offerings we got it and was on our way we got home to discover that the cupcakes were old and not fresh at all we didn't start on the cake till the next day only to find out the same results and the art work was off centered!!! This is unacceptable for the price we paid and we will not support this business again! If anyone knows a good cake place before 10/18/2020 please let me know because my B-Day is that month and I was gonna do a big cake but not with them!!! Maybe I'll just go to H.E.B instead read more

I have to say that the banana pudding in this establishment is heaven sent. I have never had a banana pudding as delicious and perfect as the ones ive purchased here. They are the perfect amount of sweet and I always come back for more. I am addicted to it, whenever I order ( I use door dash) The pudding is always perfect and it looks stunning and elegantly presented. You get the perfect balance of vanilla wafers,fresh banana and pudding in every bite. There are no words that can fully describe my love for this place. I've been there a couple times and my sister even worked here for a while when it first opened, It's such a peaceful environment. I remember when I Stopped by during my free periods from school, I had such a wonderful time. The red velvet cupcake and peach cobbler are also some of my favorites, nothing beats the pudding tho! In Summary: This lovely establishment is a paradise of sweets, You must buy the banana pudding and I Love Love it here very much. I really enjoyed the entire Sugar Rush Too - Westchase experience. Not only were the desserts delicious but the dine-in experience was enjoyable, too. The small lounge area in the back is perfect for reading or relaxing while you enjoy your treat. The "Satin Berry" and "Butter Pecan" cupcakes are my tied favorites. Can't wait to return. read more

Well, I just happen to be walking down the street from a class and saw the bakery so I thought I'd check them out. Never hear of them before. Anyways, I got the sweet potato pie. It was $5.00 for a pie slightly bigger than a mini. I thought there a new business just starting out so I bought it. It was on a Wednesday last month. I ate half of it on Thursday, went to eat the other half Friday, and there was mold growing on it. Obviously there food isn't fresh. Won't be going back read more

My first time visiting a Sugar Rush location and my experience was absolutely amazing. I don't know what was sweeter my cupcake or Brittany. Brittany was very friendly, knowledgeable and gave us plenty of her favorite options to choose from. We couldn't decide on one so we ordered three to share. The location it self is super cute and relaxed atmosphere. They even have a Sugar Rush back drop for selfies. This place is amazing. My coworker recommended them to me for my daughters birthday cake and the customer service is exceptional. I called to see if I could place an order for my daughters birthday and have my co-worker who recommended them to me pick it up for me and I believe Andrea helped me. She was so accommodating. She allowed me to place my order over the phone and allowed me to make payment over the phone so that I wouldn't have to send my credit card with someone. She made some great recommendations on what flavors children like and gave decorating ideas. She also made some great recommendations on some cupcakes for us to try. She suggested the Peach Cobbler cupcake and Oh MY GOODNESS! I just ate it for "breakfast" and it taste exactly like peach cobbler, but BETTER!!!! This will be my new go to for birthday cakes, special occasions and when I just need my sweet tooth cured. My daughters mini cake looks beautiful and I know that she will love it when she sees it. I visited this place on Sunday after having dinner with the family the kids wanted something sweet and this popped up!!!! So disappointed wish I had taken that extra time to drive to sprinkle cupcake instead!!!! We all had something different none of us liked it at all!! I had the temptation cupcake and the presentation of it was crappy it looked like it had been there for days. The bread it's self did not taste like vanilla the filling which was pineapple tasted like can pineapple not fresh! Their icing was like having a spoon full of sugar no flavor at all!!!! My oldest had the pink lady something like that it was a red velvet cupcake he took one bite and said it he could taste baking soda in it!!! My youngest one had the chocolate brownie and I actually had a taste and that did not have the texture of a brownie it was very dry hard to chew the presentation was nice it was pecans with a caramel drizzle but the taste and texture where not what a brownie should be.
