I've had really bad experiences with waxing but given the fact that I live in Vegas now and I wear a bathingsuit throughout the whole summer, I wanted to get waxed. I had the best experience I've ever had and a great waxing with no irritation and little pain. Can't say enough good things she asked me many questions before I got waxed about my skin type and irritations previous experiences and we went over all of that before the waxing was done. She recommended this one product a roll-on for soothing skin after waxing I was hesitant but bought it and wow it made a huge difference. I texted Sara asking for a same-day appointment at 4:12PM, and she replied at 4:20PM with an available 5PM appointment time. Talk about impressive! I hauled ass over to this little studio, located in the Desert Canyon Business Complex off the 215 and West Russell. Sara also texted me some very helpful directions to find her studio, which made finding her way easier. As I entered the studio, Sara was just finishing up with a client and handed me a quick waiver to fill out. I was whisked inside her studio just as I finished filling out the form and de-haired in no time at all. I think it took less than 15 minutes? Sara is wicked fast (which is great because no one wants to be all exposed for too long anyways lol)! I know some reviewers talk about a painless experience, but for me, shit still hurts like it always does. XD The point is, Sara's expediency and positive vibes makes getting waxed a more pleasant experience overall. Sara is a great conversationalist and is great at what she does. My original post is below. I felt the need to update it, explanation to follow. Booking the appointment was a breeze. Communication via text (works out for myself since I can't be on the phone all the time) she was very prompt with her responses and I was able to make an appointment the same day. It wasn't exactly difficult nor was it easy to find her, it was after sunset and the signs aren't lit up so it took a couple go arounds to find but I was able to find it. Parking wasn't the greatest. It's a dark area with no foot traffic so I felt a little uneasy walking from my car to the door. Once I was inside, it appeared to be a shared space w/ a small little room where she waxes you. Soft wax is what she uses and if I also got a add'l wax for free bc I checked in. $50 for a Brazilian isn't exactly a price that will keep me coming back, I'm accustomed to paying $35 at most. Especially if there is absolutely no incentive to return, really, I won't. I felt like the appointment was a little rushed, when I got home I noticed stragglers... Not happy considering I just paid $50 for hair removal and not all the hair was removed. Also, I felt like she wanted me to leave ASAP, basically couldn't wait for me to leave that she forgot to have me pay for her services... "Uh, I didn't pay you" WTF? If I was a dick, I would've left and she wouldn't have had a way to get that payment from me. Just saying. Another thing that I didn't like (and the main reason for the star deduction) was the fact that she asks that you write a review right there in front of her before you leave and she asks to see it. Eek, that's a lot of pressure and what if I dare a leave negative review, how awkward is that going to be??! And doesn't she know how elites do? Sheesh! Overall my experience was good unfortunately that price isn't attractive enough for a return visit. _____________ The ease of making appointment (via text mind you!), and the appointment was such a relief. I've never before been a faithful to one waxer, But Sarah radiates such positivity AND she waxes me SO good!!! Everything about her is sweet, warm hearted, and comfortable. I drive across town just to have her do her magic on me. When I was first looking for a waxer I contacted her & she of course was busy as it was during a holiday season. I did what most people do for their first time or unsure where to go went somewhere else. The waxer I saw actually moved locations so fortunately I went and texted Sarah and she was able to get me in to do my waxing. If you need any waxing especially the lovely Brazilian do yourself a favor and go to her. She makes you feel like a friend and gets rid of all the awkward emotions you might be feeling on the first visit. She listens & you aren't just some name in a system. She is like the hair stylist for your waxing needs. She is that girl. I take my time and skeptical sometimes with great reviews but Sarah has earned every single one! Don't take my word for it. Relocating is stressful. Finding someone new to do your brazilian is STRESSFUL! Finding Sweet Virginia Wax was a BLESSING! Let me just tell you bluntly, it isn't easy to trust someone with such a delicate area....and I'm pretty modest so that makes it uncomfortable for me. I had only one person doing this service for me before, so trying someone new just made me, well, grow my hair out. I just couldn't handle that for very long so I turned to the internet in search of a new provider since flights across country for a wax were just out of the question. I AM A HAPPY GIRL!!! Sarah made me relax (as much as possible for me) with her personality and conversation. I felt like I was going to like her by speaking with her on the phone when I made my appointment. She uses a different kind of wax than what I was used to and that made me a little nervous but I assure you that what she uses is great. I was smooth and it was WAY less painful than what I was accustomed to. (Really though, it was only painful because it was like starting over since it had been so long....the time that had passed AND my hair!) That being said, each appointment is less painful than the last as that's just the nature of this practice. I am shocked however, by the limited regrowth that I am experiencing. How great is that?? I have been so happy with Sarah's work that I decided it was time to wax other things and went in today to have my underarms done. I had read horror stories on-line- yes....I research almost everything before I do it, and I was braced for a pain slightly akin to Hell but Sarah had me all finished up without that ever happening. I was all worked up for nothing!! I'm looking forward to not shaving my pits EVER AGAIN! (a very irritating event for me which includes cuts and ingrown hairs that get infected) THANK YOU SARAH!!!
