We didn't know what to expect when Swift came out for our estimate. We were quoted a price for inside and outside painting and was surprised at the affordable quote, lower than I expected. Swift Painting did a really lovely job on our home, and I would highly recommend them. Some of the great features of the experience: - The business owner, Matthew, was very responsive to questions and concerns throughout the process. - The team from Swift Painting (Sam and two other gentlemen whose names I don't know but who were also great) was very thorough - they scrapped off loose paint to prep the surface, carefully protected window panes, removed rain gutters and other external features so they didn't get paint on them, primed surfaces before painting, and then did a really nice job with the painting itself. They were also very careful about our color scheme and where we wanted each color. - The team worked incredibly hard. I saw how much work goes into doing a painting job well, and I was very grateful to them for their efforts. - The Swift Painting team carefully protected the windows, so they didn't get any paint on our window panes, but previous painters had been sloppy and had gotten paint on the panes. When the Swift Painting team peeled off the protection they'd put on our panes, they ALSO scraped off paint left by other painters. We did *not* have to pay extra for this service - they very kindly did this without our even asking. This service also meant that when the Swift Painting team finished their work, the house looked even better than it would have looked when other painters in the past painted the house. - Very reasonable fees, especially given the exceptional work. - We are genuinely thrilled with the work and how our house looks. The only downsides and/or things I wish I'd known: - The original time estimate for when work could begin and how long work would take was very optimistic. I didn't realize that the time estimates assumed non-rainy weather on weekdays and that I should add a buffer (possibly doubling or tripling times) to accommodate possible rainy days. - The owner, Matthew, had some ways of talking about marital relationships that I found a little dated, even though he's a young guy. I don't think he was trying to be offensive - I think he was probably reflecting attitudes he'd absorbed elsewhere and that he didn't realize how his comments were coming across. To his credit, when I told him this bothered me, he promptly apologized and explained that he wasn't trying to be offensive. read more
