We stopped by here to take a look at their swimsuit collection. They have a good variety of swimsuits in all sizes, including plus sizes. One piece and bikini styles. There were beach bags and hats and sandals. Lots of cute stuff. However, their prices are higher than other stores we've been at. There were 2 sales ladies working yesterday. Huge selection, looks like quality stuff but once you try it on, it just isn't up to par. Most of the sizes were literally XS that looked & felt XXS! I asked the lady there is they had any larger sizes she said no, they are not able to order some for you either but can check other locations if they do have the larger size. Lots of brand names like Michael Kors; each piece separately costing about $100 each so not ideal when you have to mix & match due to size shortage. When I visit Longboat Key , I always go to all three shops to see what each have! Till now , I always find suits and in 2019 my husband even found 2 pair of swim shorts! Yes, price is a bit high, but what I ( we ) bought was good quality! This year no different! Found a suit and a jumpsuit in the Longboat Store! I was alone so the woman did help me when I needed it! BUT the best service was at the Stickney Point shop. I wanted to wear the jumpsuit and found a whole in it. I needed to return a shirt to this shop and even though I bought it in the LBK shop " Kim " when I called remembered me and said it would be no problem to bring it for an exchange! She was fantastic and her co-worker as well ! Very friendly but can see how hectic it is for only 2 sales persons ! So many people , 2 people can not accomodate each person individually! read more

Came with my daughter who needed suits. Last year I bought 5 suits in about an hour as the staff person helping me was sooo helpful. She asked some questions and started bringing me suits. She was in and out of the dressing room many times and even gave some opinions. I expected the same this time and was soo disappointed. It wasn't busy. 2 staff members. My daughter told one what she was looking for and was told where to look in the store. That's it. Not once did either of them come to dressing room to see if we needed help. Luckily I was with her to go in and out to get other suits and sizes. The selection is monumental so she did buy three suits but it took over 2 1/2 hours. The ladies working were mostly pleasant but totally unengaged. I think they lose sales because of it. Doesn't make you want to buy something. I'm sad about that read more

The staff there is always so helpful. I just returned home and Kim helped me by ordering bottoms to a top I had purchased while I was in Florida. When I received them, they ended up being too big, so I called and she was so gracious and helpful. I returned them and she sent me a different size. She never made me feel like I had imposed on her day......as a matter of fact, she went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and wanted to be sure I was satisfied with my purchase! I will always refer people to them! Aside from EXCELLENT Customer SERVICE, they have an amazing selection of the best swim wear EVER! Keep up the good work Ladies! This store is awesome - it has more swimsuits than you could even imagine, and every brand you could hope for from Roxy, to Trina Turk, to Seafolly. If you're shopping for a suit, you will absolutely find one here! They also have a huge selection of coverups, hats, and sandals! The woman working was super friendly, too. We spent 5-6 minutes in the shop at the most and bought 2 hats approximately $60.00....Really no big deal, but the ladies working there made it seem like it was a huge deal because they closed at 6:00 pm and we needed to get out right away! Not very welcoming at all. I understand store hours but there really is no need for rudeness.Very unwelcoming and they were really rude to the core. Never again! The shop itself is expensive. I can pay the price, but not for that kind of unfriendlinesses. I will take my visiting family elsewhere here in Florida. Sarasota has so much more to offer. I was hoping to buy a bikini for our up coming trip; tomorrow. I walked around thinking I knew what I was looking for but we all know how it goes. The Lady working in the shop did not acknowledge me until I had already had 4 bikinis in my hand walking toward the back of the boutique. And all she said at that point "did you wanna try something on?" Yup, that's what Im here doing. I eventually walked myself back to the fitting room. The boutique worker never came into the dressing area to ask me how things where fitting, did I need another size. You know usually the service you get from a clothing store among these stores and even below. The thing that tied it up from me was when I came out of the dressing room and handed her the bikinis, told her none fit "o that's because your looking in the wrong section" then someone pointe me in the right direction."which had different options. I look thru the merchandise and decide trying on 3 more. Take myself to the back again; boutiques worker never comes back to ask me anything. The Funny thing is a lady came in after me and 2stalls to the right. After her 1st picks the attendant came back twice to ask her if she needed help, I'm in the stall beside like "really!?" She hasn't asked me once how I was or if I needed help with anything. I was just pulled back and didn't try on The 3 bathing suits I had brought in. Placed them on the hangers as well as I was able to. Brought items out the her and left. They had nice suits there, had I had some more help I may have been able to find something. read more

Wasn't impressed with the staff. When I had a question they made it seem like I was interrupting them. And they clearly do not know much about products. I was asking if they carry female board shorts and she showed me bathing suit bottoms, these are not board shorts. Then she brought me over the the male spandex. This place is a huge rip off, everything is way overpriced. Save your money and buy online or in a department store. I paid $200 for a bathing suit, that sells online for less than 1/2 of that. I never took the suit out of the bag, tags still on it and they would not take it back. Seriously?? I only paid that amount because I needed a bathing suit and was crunched for time, turns out I never wore the suit and as I said, no can do. Customer Service is not black and white, sometimes you have to be bend the rules. read more

Great selection here and decent prices. My fiancé and my brother bought bathing suits and the fiancé got 20% off by clipping a coupon out of a magazine. Worked like a charm with no hassle. I don't know what the return policy is as some people have complained on yelp about that, but it's pretty typical that stores don't take returns on bathing suits. They do have changing rooms there so you can try your stuff on... So make sure you go ahead and do that. read more

I will absolutely never buy from this store again. I bought a bikini top from them that was on "sale" (I found out later that online it was $19.95, but Swim City sold it for $46.00), wore it around my house for about 15 minutes and developed a severe allergic skin reaction from the nylon in the bikini top. I called Swim City the next morning, spoke to the manager and explained the entire situation. She was entirely unsympathetic and repeatedly told me they would not accept returns. Seriously? She wouldn't even offer me store credit or an item exchange. I wasted $46.00 on a bikini top that I can't even wear. Obviously this store is not customer friendly. Also, as I mentioned before this store is WAY too overpriced for me to even consider buying there again. Go anywhere else in Sarasota for swimsuits (or any swim-related items for that matter), and please AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COSTS. read more

Avoid this store. I bought a pair of swim goggles and two days later I tried to exchange them for a pair that did not leak. No way to tell if they leak in the store. I had the receipt, original packaging, and they were in perfect condition - except they leaked on my face. The store manager, Renee, said they consider goggles swim wear so she would not exchange them. Their receipt says that "intimate apparel" is not returnable - but swim goggles?! No refund, no store credit, not even an exchange for a different size. This is not the behavior of a store I will support. read more

This review would have been a lot better, because the two sales people working there were really cool and laid back- exactly the type of people you'd want working in a beach shop. Also, the selection of swim suits, particularly for women, is very broad. BUT...they don't do returns ever, apparently. They don't have that little fact posted anywhere, which I think is very uncool. If you aren't going to accept returns, at least clearly let people know so that they make the right selection and try on anything that needs trying on before purchase. I've been coming to Siesta Key for a long time and never knew about the no-returns policy until today, when we bought a bunch of stuff and I realized immediately after we left the store that I had a 25% off coupon. We went back and they would not honor the coupon on a previous sale and would also not accept a return so that we could re-do the sale using the coupon. The sales person was very apologetic and agreed that the policy was stupid, but that there was nothing she could do about it. I can understand not accepting worn swimsuits back but what if you don't feel like trying something on or what if you buy something for someone and it doesn't fit or they don't like it? The store is also a tad overpriced and they carry products that contain parabens which is kind of a bummer (pun intended- I bought some Sun Bum lotion that the sales people raved about and found out later that they contain parabens. BOOO!) I would never say that I wouldn't return but they should really make their policy plain or change it. They are dependent on tourists and if enough tourists take their business elsewhere, Swim City will be in trouble! read more

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Sarasota, Fl. on a business trip. Of course, I forgot my swimsuit and I was told by the concierge where we were staying to try Swim City on Stickney Point Rd. Kudos to the hotel for pointing us in the right direction. The sales people were incredibly helpful and thank goodness because the selection was overwhelming! Told them exactly what I was looking for and once I was in the fitting room I never had to come back out. They had continuous suggestions and I left there with not just one or two, but 3 Swim Suits!!! Needless to say, I did not need them, but I felt so good in them that I had to have them. I will definitely be suggesting this place to any of my co-workers, friends and family that happen to be traveling to Sarasota. Will definitely be back on my next trip read more
