My fianceé and I were on our "third" time planning our wedding due to delays from Covid-19 -- we were first set to get married in April, then September and then finally agreed to have a small family only wedding in Santa Rosa. With us putting pieces together on the fly, we reached out to S'wine Country BBQ based on their reviews and thinking bbq would fit the theme for our wedding. We contacted them via a general email and very quickly Shelly responded to us with details about selecting them as our caterer. They were so easy to work with--I told them date/time, number of people and menu ideas and they put together a proposal for us--we went back and forth on some questions/details which they were able to quickly answer and help form our menu -- and voila--we had our caterer. I was a little nervous because we did not have enough time to taste test but after reading all the reviews, my nerves were calmed. They delivered the food-right on time!- in tins where we then set up in our own chafing dishes to be served family style. On our menu we had pulled pork sliders, brisket, beans, mac n cheese, veggies and salad and everything was a hit! My favorite was brisket and even a couple weeks after the weddings guests are still raving about the beans! The mac n cheese was the item of choice for all the nieces and nephews (3-9 year olds). I discovered S'Wine Country BBQ recently at Santa Rosa's Wednesday Night Market. I had just finished hosting an event nearby and I was famished. The enticing BBQ smells immediately lured me to their food stand. I was surprised to see how reasonably priced their offerings were (mostly in the $8 - $10 range for sandwiches and sausage platters). I wound up ordering the Pig Pen platter. And whoa, this was a very generous, meaty platter consisting of a hot link sausage topped with pulled pork, creamy mango jalapeno cole slaw, fried onions, and beans. This dish is certainly not diet food (so don't tell your cardiologist). But man oh man, I pretty much licked my plate clean. These guys didn't skimp out on anything. And for just $8, this was an amazing value. This dish could've easily fed two people. So often you go to these street festivals or farmers market events, and the food vendors serve up small, uninspired dishes (eg chicken skewers, rice plates, etc.) and charge you an arm and a leg. But S'Wine Country BBQ puts all those other food vendors to shame. This BBQ is the real deal and worth the subsequent Pepto Bismol you'll need after all that piggy goodness. In addition, they were extremely sensitive and considerate of our culture derived special requests which we are very thankful for. We also had a mixup of different people asking different buffet setting.They had no problem changing the set-up twice! All with a smile and 'no-problem' attitude and with a keen desire to cater to our wishes for our utmost satisfaction. The food was delicious! Guests were impressed and happy! They definitely elevated the event. The groom wanted BBQ style, the bride - variety of veggies. We chose: Freshly made on location grilled BBQ chicken Slow cooked smoked beef brisket Grilled sliced portobello mushroom caps Potato gratin Roasted vegetables medley Fresh vegetable salad Self serve beverage station of lemonade and cold tea To our surprise, they not only added a water station but also took the time and made the effort to fill up all water cups on the tables so our guests had their water by their plate as they sat down, thus eliminating the need for our guests to get up and get water for themselves - definitely a beautiful gesture. While 1 hour cleanup is included in their service they went the extra mile and in addition to scraping off the the plates they placed them in an empty trough we had and filled it with water to ease our cleanup for the rental company. Blocked in, waiting for us to locate the car owners to enable them to leave, they were relaxed, smiling and patient, not for a moment clouding our day. The catering was delicious. The service was impeccable, and above all, the Stacy family is a uniquely warm and caring family with positive energy and a can-do, no-problem, how-can-we-help attitude! I was invited to a birthday party with my GF where Swine Country BBQ was catering. They served bacon wrapped meatballs and jalapeno wedges filled with cream cheese also wrapped in bacon. Both were pretty good. A little overdone, but the Sweet Baby Rays served with then was a wonderful addition. The main they served was baked beans, coleslaw, pulled pork, BBQ chicken and a big salad. Lets begin with this salad. - what a huge salad. It was pre dressed and a little whited from it, but OMG it was packed with flavor. Dried cranberries, cherry tomatoes, cheese plus. Simply stated... Delicious ! The beans were a bit over sweet for me, but you could taste the smoky bacon cut through it all. The pulled pork was perfectly smoked, and pulled to a tee. The flavor lacked due to the pork not being sauced for the event. Tom and his family had three sauces you could add to it, which changed the profile dramatically. The coleslaw was a bland, and a little to dry. It had all the ingredients that coleslaw should have, but I would of loved to have tried the Mango slaw that other reviewers mentioned. The highlight of the night was the grilled chicken. Outstanding seasoning, and perfectly sauced. This out shined the pulled pork. The owner Tom Lanning, along with his wife and daughter, presented everything in foil pans, which was perfect for the space. I got the chance to talk with him and his wife, I can whole heartedly say, I can see that he has a passion for BBQ. His demeanor was great and he defiantly goes beyond to please his clients.
