Had dinner there the other night. The service is great. The food is eclectic. The overall experience is very positive.

1st visit here @ The Swiss Deli. We thoroughly enjoyed our steaks (there were 8 rib eyes!) and pork chops and chicken and pasta! Wait Staff - Edwin was our Server and I'm glad that he has a great sense of humor and so flexible and has a go-with-the-flow attitude. Coz I was being my usual nitpicky self. Thank you for being patient with me and my FamBam. :-) Restroom - Clean and roomy. I approve! In the Philippines, restrooms are not usually equipped with toilet paper and the flush lever doesn't usually work. The Swiss Deli's restroom (Women) is well looked after. Although I question: Why is the trash bin inside the restroom is labeled BIODEGRADABLE? When the Female customers have our personal hygiene products to dispose of during our menstrual cycle, where should these items be disposed of if not in the trash bin inside the restroom?!?!??! I should've mentioned it to The Manager. Parking - 4 parking spaces in front of the The Swiss Deli (right where the COW Statue is grazing. And parking in the back also. Consider the front parking area coz The Swiss Deli is located on a very busy intersection and main road. I suggest when parking, to back into the parking space to make it easier to maneuver when merging into the flow of traffic. Payments - Credit Cards are accepted... Cash is always the preferred currency in the Philippines! ;-) Beverages - Well..... the Mango Shake was very tart that I couldn't even consume 1/4 of the glass. It was taken out of the bill, (",) Desserts - Since there's the deli is the 1st room a customer encounters after going in, there's a whole assortment of cheese, pastries, liquor and chocolates, and etc! FOOD Australian Ribeye Steak - The 5 members of my FamBam didn't leave a piece of this steak on their plates. It was delicious, according to all 5 Human Beings. All 5 ordered Medium cooked RibEye and ONLY 1 out of 5 got it correct. Yet, everyone still finished their steaks. US Angus RibEye Steak - 3 of us ordered it Medium Cooked. Received 2 Medium Well and 1 Well-Done... Took mine back to the kitchen and came back with a perfectly Medium cooked RibEye steak! Obviously the side was STEAMED WHITE RICE! :-) Chicken Breast with mushroom sauce, Pork Chops, Pork Steak - these FamBam members didn't feel like having a RibEye Steak. I'm glad for their choices coz I get to have bite out of each. The Pork Chop was tasty. The Chicken Breast was delish also, specially the mushroom cream sauce. Pork Steak was delish also. Overall - It's certainly delish and good food. Cost-wise, it's not super expensive. I'm still just going to limit going to The Swiss Deli coz I'm that kind of cheapskate and will only splurge occasionally on expensive meals. Correct, it is an expensive place to be to have a good and quality food. Correct, the form of payment is credit card also. However, CASH IS ALWAYS PREFERRED IN THE PHILIPPINES. read more

My review is limited to the store, as I have not eaten here. Awesome selection of foods from around the world! Prices are on the high side but getting USDA beef and all these European products to the southern Philippines must have some logistics driving the cost. This is my go to when trying to get away from the typical sauced up, fried, or heavily marinated cuisine that is typical here. Bought rib-eyes, some great sausage, cheeses, fresh bread (AWESOME) and barilla pasta and sauce for the kiddos. See you again next year guys! read more

YUMMY good selection of wine and alcohol for a deli we're happy to have bumped into this spot service is subpar and if they had a grade here this place would be a grade B but everywhere else here is the same. For the price you expect great food, delicious wine, excellent service and cleanliness. You got two out of two. On a separate note this deli slash restaurant uses paper straws kudos to them read more
Swiss Deli used to be a gold restaurant when it first opened but now the quality of their food has either gone bland or they don't know the ingredients that they're putting in. The price of the food is a little expensive. More on the 380-1,800 range. They serve a lot like appetizers, soups, pastas, steaks, sandwiches and etc. They also have a really good selection of wines, cheeses and cold cuts so you can go here for wine night with your friends and all. I had a bad experience with their cream dory dish. I ordered it hoping it would have that creamy mushroom sauce on top (cream based) because that's usually how restaurant serve their cream Dory (especially when they say they'll serve it with mushroom sauce), but they just served mine with butter and sliced button mushrooms on top... what's worse was you could still rate the grease from when the fish was cooked so that was a pretty gross meal... their salad was okay. I got the Mediterranean pasta salad with olives, capers and tuna and it was more filling and more flavorful than my main dish. It's spacious inside and there's a fair amount of space outside for parking. It wouldn't be my go to restaurant for food but if you want to come here for some wine and cheese then it would be one of Davao's top spots. read more
