I'd have to say pass on this one. They bill themselves as "end of lease cleaners" and asked for the letter from our leasing agents. I thought "Great, I won't have to do a thing!" However, the cleaning was amateurish - floors and walls left dirty, stove looked crap, and we didn't find out until 3 days before our lease was up that they wouldn't do the window blinds. Mad scramble ensues. When I called about the poor cleaning job, they mis-identified me and started reading a complaint from another customer about a poor cleaning job back to me. I didn't recognise the (pretty gross) complaints but I got an inkling that their cleaning was at least irritating one other person. read more

Worse Cleaners ever!!! Bond back guarantee yea right. After nothing being clean the first time round I was questioning the state of the carpets after no stains had been removed. The "cleaners" said steam cleaning does not remove stains. When shown the dust outline of my furniture and being able to pick up the dust and hair myself I was then told steam cleaning does not pick up dust or hair. Well what does it do then? I then showed them what needed to be re cleaned in the bathroom and left them to do their job. Thinking they would walk downstairs and grab the cleaning products or perhaps even a cloth. However; one of the cleaners just turned on the tap and began rubbing his hands all over the bathtub. He didn't even have a cloth with him. To have to ask cleaners to go and get their cleaning products is pretty ridiculous. I ended up removing all the light shades myself and cleaning the bugs out only to be told by the cleaner that I had missed a light and there were still bugs in it. At over 400$ for an apartment it wasn't even my job to clean the lights I was shocked to be told I had missed something. Such a bunch of retards. I spent the first hour just trying to get them to go downstairs and bring cleaning products upstairs so they would actually have something to clean with. Never ever ever use Oz City Cleaners! read more

Absolutely disgraceful. Arrived back to the apartment to find it untouched - had to send 62 photos and ask for a re-clean. The re-clean was very good but the carpets looked untouched. Rang to speak to the company to say the carpets were not cleaned - hair, specks and dust over the carpet, and stains very evident. Although my carpet totals 17sqm, it was classified as 3 rooms, at $44 each - a professional carpet clean costs $59 for 3 rooms in Melbourne so I assumed (stupid of me) that this would be a professional clean - anything but. Customer service is disastrous, I was informed I hadn't paid for a professional clean! Avoid at all costs!!!!!!!! read more

DO NOT USE!!!! We had an end of tenancy clean with Oz City Cleaners and we are extremely disappointed. Please see below our list of issues: - We were quoted 3-4 hr clean, as soon as the cleaner arrived he said it would be a minimum of 6 hrs, if we did not agree he would not honor your policy of a free re-clean. The apartment was tiny so did not warrant 6 hrs of cleaning but we felt forced into accepting the 6 hrs. - The cleaning was hopeless. The basics such as sweeping the floor and wiping down the stove top were not even done. I could have cleaned it better. - The cleaning actually resulted in destruction of property. One cupboard in the kitchen was broken and the cleaner slammed the outdoor door so hard that it got stuck and we had to get someone to fix it. Blind chains were broken on the blinds due to rough cleaning. We were able to fix the cupboard & blind chains ourselves but we had to go back to the apartment and do this. Both of these issues significantly delayed receipt of bond. On requesting a refund we were told that in T&C's it said that over phone was indicative and they have no reasonable way of verifying the damage was caused by their company. DO not use. I read some bad reviews about this company before but bc of the price I went ahead anyway. Please take heed of this caution! read more

I used Sydney City Cleaners when vacating a 2 bed 2 bath split level unit in Balmain. The price was reasonable, the cleaners turned up ahead of schedule and the quality of work was good. Would happily recommend based on my successful experience. read more

If I could give zero or negative stars I would. such a poor job was done on our small 2 bedroom apartment. When they arrived (more than 2 hours late) they tried to convince us that our flat would require 12 man hours to clean. while speaking with their manager we agreed to 6 hours and they should do the best they could of the whole flat in that time. The cleaners attempted to leave before completing 3 full man hours. They were extremely rude to my partner when he told them they weren't finished. After yet another phone call to their manager they reluctantly returned to the flat. I don't know what they did after returning but when they left there were fresh hand-prints on our mirrors and glass door and other items agreed upon were not completed, to say the job was amateur would suggest they actually tried, it looks more like they did a deliberately bad job so that we would have to call them back for their "re-clean guarantee" Not only was the job poorly done, but they decided to take the plug from one of our kitchen sinks in the process. We had to re-clean our entire flat which we had already vacated because despite a full 48 hours of phone calls and emails attempting to get them to fix their mess they weren't able to source a cleaner who could arrive before we had to return the keys to the agent. We took less than 3 man hours to thoroughly clean our apartment (including tasks which they considered "exclusions" given a 6 hour time-frame as well as having to re-clean the things they allegedly did clean while on site) but these professional cleaners couldn't even manage to do a decent job of the bare minimum, for which they required 6 hours' pay! read more

Avoid this company, thinking I wouldn't have to deal with my precious property manager again turned in to a 2 week ping ping of photos and I had to pay another company to finish what they said was a 7 hour job...... And of course they took no responsibility, they considered cob webs to be a "build up" hence not cleaning that among a majority of standard things. End of lease...... 100% satisfaction..... NOT AT ALL. If I could do negative stars for this company it would almost make it worth it and hope this deters anyone considering this poor service read more

Had these guys do a end of lease clean. Suppposed to be for three hours but they came and said probably will take five hours. I said nah just do what you can I'm three. They call 1.5 hours after and say he's finished. I went to have a look at the work and looked like a amateur cleaned it. Nothing was wiped down inside the cupboards; the balcony was not broomed. The tv stand and bedside cupboard were not dusted. The toilets still have faeces stains in it. Completely useless and I had to clean everything my self as the open house was the day after. I'd give these guys the pass. read more

DO NOT USE. They will Over charge you!! Was booked for the minimum three hours. Got told by the cleaners I was over charged and this should only cost me 198 total for the three hours no more. Which I had already paid as a deposit. The next day another 181 dollars was taking out by them and when I rang to enquire about it they told me the cleaners took 7hrs which was not agreed upon by myself or my partner! Huge scam! Do not trust this company!!! I paid 381 dollars for the worst end of lease clean. read more

Their cleaning is OK when they turn up, and OK I mean they are fairly cheap and they don't do a great job but they get the basics done if you are feeling lazy or have no free time. However if they turn up is another matter, I would say they have a 30% turn up ratio at best. So on those 7/10 times we have to rearrange another date. Dont plan anything with their work in mind, like having a inspection, or people over to your house, you will end up having to do it yourself. Got fed up with it, finding another cleaner. read more

They get 1 star because the girls on the phones are nice. It was the first time we hired cleaners for an end of lease on the property we had vacated. First day they were so far from Sydney with car trouble that they had to cancel, that evening I spoke to Sam and he promised he would personally be at the house at our arranged time. I asked him to please contact me asap is there was any change. Pretty much as we arrived I received a message to say he would be late. So jet another promise broken, this meant that I couldn't meet them to talk with them as to what needed doing, I had already been cleaning to reduce the cost. I had been arises on the phone that it would cost approx. $350 so you can imagine my surprise when I heard from my partner that the quote was now $800! As this was far out of our budget we argreed that they would only clean certain parts of the house, the bathroom, oven and stove, vacuume and mop all rooms and clean a few blinds. The next day when my partner went to get the last few things, it was clear that the cleaning had been done to an absolute substandard. The cupboards in the bathroom where still covered in dust at the top, the floor had white stains so I had to mop those again. When the real estate agent came to do the inspection she was not impressed with any of the work they had done. By this stage we had to either clean it ourselves on the spot or pay another week rent so that Sam and his crew could come in again. We chose to do it ourselves because another weeks rent would have cost $675 and they had been unreliable keeping their appointments and to be honest I didn't trust that they would do a good enough job this time around. Needless to say, if you are looking for cleaners don't use these guys you might as well give your money to charity, that will do more good. read more

I just moved out to my apartment that hadn't been cleaned in probably months. I emailed Oz City Cleaners because they said they specialized on Move In/Move Out cleanings on their website, and boy, what a difference a thorough cleaning makes! Most importantly, they have fantastic communication skills. I scheduled a cleaning via email, and they are more than helpful. Communication was prompt, helpful, and very easy. The confirmation email was detailed with time confirmation, hours to quote and all their T&C. They cleaned my apartment and did a really great job. Although they were late (it's hard to find parking in the area), they got right to work when they arrived, and deducted time off from my bill. I did a walk through when they first arrived and pointed out major problem areas, which were all addressed. They really did a thorough job, and got a lot accomplished in under 10 hours. After the cleaning, I received a follow up call asking how was the cleaning. Just making sure that I had a good experience. I really appreciated it, because it shows that they care about the quality of their services. I will definitely use them again for future cleanings. read more

REALLY wish I had discovered Sydney City Cleaners before the one and only time I hired them, for my move-out last month. 4 years living in Bondi and I had no idea this quality of service is (literally) at your fingertips. Booking is so easy over the phone with their nice customer service representative almost too easy (plenty of time slots and staff options), as I called the next day just to re-confirm my appointment. The representative was SO nice over the phone, very pleasant, and made me feel confident that this was all going to run smoothly. And it sure did. Cleaners were late for 30 minutes but I was informed by email that arrival is not guaranteed. One of the cleaners called to inform they will be late. Even though she also advised from the get-go that her English was not that good, communication was surprisingly easy. The team took over 5 hours to clean the apartment and when I returned, I couldn't believe what an amazing job they did. Every nook and cranny was covered, with the unit basically being as good as new. I was Oz City Cleaners was referred to me by a friend and again I wish I had known about them sooner! Amazing. We booked with Oz City Cleaners after being unhappy with a different local freelance cleaning lady doing a lazy job. The upfront price was a bit more expensive than we were used to, but jumped in anyways and it was worth it. We're 5 roommates in our mid-twenties and often have friends over, so our apartment can get a bit messy. Cleaners showed up promptly and spent a healthy 14 hours cleaning our 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom apartment. They began with a walk through, paying attention to any special requests, and then promptly (and quietly) got to work. I was amazed at the level of detail and effort they put in. Very clear that they are obsessed with doing an amazing job, and they have the skills and etiquette to deliver. Very pleased with the service quality and professionalism and will move to a monthly plan after this experience. read more

A week ago I had a cleaning appointment scheduled and the house cleaner failed to show up. I was quite unhappy and frustrated since I had set aside the entire day for the cleaning and spent the morning preparing my home for the visit. Fortunately one of their customer service reps promptly contacted me regarding the missed cleaning and rescheduled with two different cleaners for the following weekend. These two cleaners just left my house a few minutes ago and I have to admit that they more than made up for the bad experience the prior week. They did an excellent job and exceeded my expectations - I plan on scheduling a recurring appointment with these two cleaners going forward. It appears as though the poor experience that I had initially simply a fluke and I'm glad that this matter was resolved in a quick and effective manner. read more

I found Oz City Cleaners when my other cleaning company bailed on me only 3 hours before they were supposed to arrive. Because I was trying to coordinate this service to my apartment in Surry Hills it was difficult. The customer service representatives were extremely helpful and polite which was an immediate green light for me. They were the only company I called that offered an alternative time than same day, which was a morning service (starting as early as 8am). Because I scheduled the service for 8:30 AM in order to beat the apartment walk-thru, I called and the manager of the company assured me that their cleaners are perfectly professional. They also did an incredible job, and left the place in perfect condition. read more

Absolutely AMAZING! I own an investment property in Bondi Junction and recently had the tenants from hell! They left the property in such an absolute mess, I thought it was never going to be back to the way it originally was. Then, I called Sydney City Cleaners... I was almost in tears and the team assured me that they were the best in the business. I got them in and I am so pleased I did, they managed to restore my little unit back to it's original, cleanly state. I am so thrilled with the work they have done and would recommend them to anyone looking for a general or end of lease cleaner. read more

Rude & unprofessional service received from this company. The call centre staff never return phone calls & when there is an issue suddenly all of the managers have gone home. Company left me out of pocket several hundred dollars due to their tardiness & showing up 2 hours late and on top of this then tried charging me double what was quoted and already paid for. Ended up having to get another service who not only did the job in under 2 hours - Sydney city quoted 6 - but left the place spotless, arrived on time and went the extra mile. 0/10 Sydney city cleaning. read more

I booked a couple of guys to do an end of lease clean, I was sceptical as i'd seen mixed reviews but asked for a quote anyway. They ended up being a slightly better price than two of the others for a 6 hour clean so i went ahead. They guys pretty thorough and were nice enough, I asked them to spend a little bit of extra time on the oven as there was a little bit of grease left on the top but nothing worth complaining over. DONT EVER TRUST THEIR CLEANERS AND THEIR MANAGEMENT, EVERYONE ARE DISGUSTING! you book a cleaning they will provide you with estimate of hours and when they come to your house, they will tell you double or even triple the hours. they charged your credit card without your permission everything will be on their effin terms which were on the email but the heck!! YOU DO NOT CHARGE WITHOUT PERMISSION!! COMPLETELY FRAUD!!! read more

I currently have two amazing cleaners who are are always on time, efficient and do a very thorough job. I love coming home to my house after they have been there- it is like a new place! Mmmmm.. people loving whining...I have moved at least 12 times in the last 10 years and I know from experience that things always take longer than expected. I used to always find a different cleaner each time I moved or used the one recommended by the agent (scam!) The cleaners rocked up on time, did everything as i asked and I got my full bond back which is enough for me... read more

I seldom see the guys, but I never have an issue. I gave them a brief of what I wanted and what I expected in the beginning, and they've just got on with it every week. I like the fact that it's almost always the same crew, so they know my business. I've opened new premises and will be using their services there also. I'd recommend them to any business. read more

I was very pleased with the service. I was very unsure what i would need to pay for 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms but the team at Sydney City Cleaners made sure that i was well looked after and they have very reasonable prices. My daughter suggested that I hire Oz City Cleaners at the end of our visit. I would usually clean myself but we just didn't have the time this stay and I have to say I was very impressed. The cleaners arrived early and they did an incredible job. They were very professional and friendly. read more

Referred to use them from our realtor and was hesitant when I saw the reviews. Glad I did as they managed to shift some stains that I thought would never come out and got it done for less that $250! Would definitely recommend! read more

Such bad service and bad staff. Rude to customers and turn up over an hour & a half late then want more money. Avoid at all costs, there are much better cleaners out there than these dishonest people. read more

Can companies please everyone ? No. I was informed my cleaner would be 35 minutes late, Sinking feeling. 35 minutes later BLESSED. A bond cleaner was at my door. Job was well done, Rate was great. read more
