In a town devoted more to pies, fried…read morechicken, and sitting for hours in a deer stand not moving, Tifton has a crossfit box!!!! i'm only here for a week, so i stopped in for my workout. it was an "easy" 18 min AMRAP...meaning i was soaked in sweat and feeling great. it's smaller than my home gym, but it packs no less energy. all the equipment is legit crossfit gear. the instructor is a certified crossfit instructor. April (the owner) is full of energy and super helpful. if you live in the area, i highly recommend joining this box. crossfit is for everyone and is much more fun than spending an hour on the treadmill! if you are passing through town, great for a drop in class. either way, you won't be disappointed in Tifton's newest and hopefully lasting fitness center.

That's how I found out about the Kula work exchange program, where I FINALLY found something to do with my free time lol. The people at Sol accepted me right away, and, as a newbie, I felt like I finally had a sense of community in a town where I knew no one. The classes have allowed me the chance to grow personally as I watch my yoga practice transform. Not to mention my performance in the gym! Since I started working for Sylvia, I have been spending more and more time at Sol for work AND for me time. The teachers for YOD, Pilates reformer, BUTI, barre, and power yoga are all such talented ladies. They help you grow and learn so much! If you're looking for community, this is the place!

It's a small town with big dreams, a lot of courtesy and room to grow. A place where you feel safe, local law enforcement, take the community seriously. They do an incredible job so, safety isn't an issue. I'd say if you're looking for a forever place or just a short visit, Sylvester is a pleasant town to pay a visit. One more thing, They are home to the Famous Outlaws Air B&B, book some beauty and tranquility from Michael Outlaw and his mom. We'd all be glad you came.
