She…read moredid manage to find a few things like door seal, lift hinges , few bad speakers, peeling chrome on a light switch , small crack on tranasom ... but she missed quite a few that ive been finding on my own. The first time I took the boat out i noticed the port engine shaking not from motor running rough but the the control arm that transfers direction form starboard motor to port had an almost 70% bend at the connection point to port engine. ( REPAIRED OURSELF) I just used the windlass for the first time and the spindle completely spun off as the bolt holding it on had been sheared off and not repaired. (Have to pull windlass out of boat) Now i have since had to replace all speakers and the stereo head unit, the electric toilet pump.. but it is a boat my boat broker told me! In other words i would not recommend her to inspect your boat, maybe my boat just had gremlins though but i think it was more just alot of stuff was missed at the inspection. This is my six used boat purchase and ive never had this many things missed from a survey. Gary D .

Shawn helped me locate a trailer company who promptly arrived and I was able to limp the trailer to the marina. Then Cleave helped me locate a lower unit for my 99 Evinrude 115. Furthermore, his mechanic team was fast and efficient. Lastly, I had to ditch the boat trailer. Cleave was very helpful in saving me a 7hr round trip plus gas. He was able to remove the trailer for me. The boat slip had a big drop off, so that is the only negative from this place. Thanks again for everything, Cleave and Shield Marina Team. Great STAFF! Everyone we interact with, from the store to the marina and docks to the service…read moredepartment is professional and pleasant. We have our boat dry docked and love the arrangement. Restrooms are spotless and well stocked. The ships store has plenty of what you need and a lot of what you want. Anytime we want to travel overland with our boat, they have gotten our boat and trailer ready for us. I love that many Shields live right at the Marina. The area always feels safe and secure. As long as we have a boat, we will keep it at Shields!

Unfortunately he paid them before seeing the boat as we live in another state and couldn't get there for at least a month. It turns out it was only waxed and that badly. He was told it had faded again because of the hot FL sun.?!? There was overspray on motors from trying to get scratches repaired and was told they couldn't fix it so another company would have to. That was 6 weeks ago. He is out over $2500.00.
