Vy did my bridal shower cake, our wedding cake, and now our baby shower desserts!! I reached out to her pretty last minute to see is she had availability to make some desserts for our baby shower and WOW she really came through! Her communication was amazing as always and she even had enough time to deliver our cupcakes the morning of our shower which was much appreciated. Our baby shower was "dumpling" themed and Vy really came through - she is so creative and the macarons and cupcakes were SO cute.. not to mention delicious. As always, all of our guests not only complimented the beauty of the desserts, but the flavor as well - so delicious. So many guests wanted to take some home to show their kids/families. She is definitely our "go-to" family baker now :)!

I loved working with Vy at Syndesi Desserts for my wedding cake. She had a cake tasting box that my husband and I tried, and we fell in love with her lemon blueberry flavor. It was soft, moist, and not too sweet. We went with a 2 Tier cake (Tall 8-inch and a Tall 6-inch) in the Lemon Blueberry flavor with Vanilla Swiss Buttercream, and ordered 1 Sheet cake in the same flavor to serve to our guests as backup servings. We got so many compliments on our cake, and so many people said it was the best cake they've ever had. Vy provides helpful advice on serving sizes and best cake placement at the reception venue. We appreciate Vy's thoughtfulness and attention to detail, and we are so glad we went with Syndesi Desserts on our big day!!

Loved the simple texture on the cake

I initially reached out to Vy not only due to her beautiful cakes but also because of her extensive and unique menu of flavors. And boy am I glad I did! For our wedding, we wanted a 2 tiered cake and matching cupcakes as well to give our guests a variety of different flavors to try. The flavors I selected (because I couldn't pick just 1) were: 2 Tier Cake: - Ube with cookies&cream - Earl Grey with lychee mascarpone Cupcakes: - Earl Grey with Passionfruit curd - Cardi Rose Chai All 3 of these flavors were phenomenal and we got soo many compliments on how the cake looked and tasted! We had a couple of slices saved for us post wedding and even after 2-3 days the cake still tasted moist! As someone with parents that have a lot of opinions when it comes to dessert, they had nothing but great things to say about all of the offerings. Vy is soo talented when it comes to baking and also design! I wanted a simple cake that made a statement and she put together a recommendation that literally could not have been more cohensive and beautiful. I'm so glad I went with Syndesi for our wedding cakes and cannot wait to order more from her for future events!!

Vanilla cake with buttercream frosting (she does buttercream; she does not do fondant). DELICIOUS!

I first tried Vy's cake through a friend's birthday event and I was blown away- so good!! So I ordered vanilla cake from her for a baby shower event. Sooo good and beautifully designed! I also tried her macaroons which are heaven sent. Macaroons are creamy, fluffy, buttery- must try. You go to her website (https://www.syndesidesserts.com) and fill out order form. Communication is easy through texts, Instagram DM, or email. I described the cake design I wanted and she brought my vision to life, but even better. She does business from home so you go pickup your order at previously agreed specified time. Wear mask. She brought my order out to my car. Very professional. I was very impressed with the quality of the box packaging she put my cake in. I appreciate that. Payments are through PayPal. No issues. Will order again from her. Check out her Instagram page "syndesi_" for inspirations.

I love Syndesi and her cakes! I've bought 3 or 4 cakes and some cake tasting boxes from her and they have always been delicious! I'll always recommend Syndesi cakes for any occasion.

Syndesi was recommended to me by our current OTP CM, Gretel! Vy provides many flavors for all your cake needs, from traditional flavors to matcha, Earl grey, and even chai. I ordered a matcha strawberry cake in the star crescent design; however, the usual Pocky sticks and chocolate gems were replaced with fresh strawberries. Vy will work with you on your vision and design. The cake is dense and very moist. It is not sweet as most American custom cakes/bakeries but definitely sweeter than the Asian ones. The buttercream was perfect in sweetness, but the cake itself was a just a tad too sweet for me. Combined it was still an amazing experience. Everyone loved it. Plus, the cake looks beautiful. Just a note, it might take some time to get a response from Vy once you put in a request. It's because she works from her home while also homeschooling her children. It is worth the wait! Request a cake at least 2-3 weeks before your needs. She is great to work with.

I used to say I wasn't a cake person...then I tried a Syndesi Cake! Now I look for a reason to order one. For starters, these cakes are ALWAYS tastefully and elegantly decorated. It may be hard to believe, but they taste better than they look. Balanced sweetness, light and airy frosting, and perfectly portioned ratios of fruits filling and cake. Syndesi has perfected some unconventional flavors like Ube, one of my favorites. I recommend Syndesi for anything from personal cakes to weddings! You will be beyond satisfied!

Ube cake with cookies & cream buttercream, with a light blue chocolate drip!

AMAZING!!!! My mom, along with everyone who had a piece of this cake (including myself of course), absolutely LOVED the cake I ordered from Syndesi Desserts!!! Vy is the chef/baker behind Syndesi dessert and she was so nice & very thoughtful. Vy really takes the time to get to know you and the occasion these custom cakes are for. She puts in lots of time, effort, and care; and it shows in the details of her work! I ordered a 6-inch ube cake with cookies and cream buttercream, with a chocolate drizzle on top. THE UBE FLAVOR IN THIS CAKE WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, so rich and impactful-- tasted just like home! I've never tried a cookies and cream buttercream, and it was a treat for my first time-- great combo with the ube cake. The design of the cake was also SO beautiful and elegant. The chocolate drip on top was precisely and adoringly placed. ALL AMAZING. It was such a beautiful cake and perfect for celebrating my mom's birthday! Will definitely be coming back to Vy for other custom cake requests.

Vy of Syndesi Desserts is incredibly talented and is one of the top bakers in the metro (in my humble opinion). I discovered Syndesi Desserts later in 2019 and I made it to her first pop-up at Moonbird Coffee for her Harry Potter-inspired treats. Once my family and I arrived and saw how long the line was (out the door), we were simultaneously shocked and intrigued. Surely people wouldn't endure the long wait for nothing? Well, Vy reeled me in with her warmth and delicious baked goods. I would go to a few more pop-ups between Moonbird and nearby Snackboxe Bistro before the pandemic stopped large gatherings and we all locked down. Vy's cakes were a highlight during a few big celebrations in our family in 2020. Her pick-up service has been seamless during the pandemic and her own move to a new house. I have purchased things from pop-up virtual sales and ordered cakes (having picked up my cake-tasting box of six different cake flavors this weekend out of luck--I didn't make it fast enough to her DMs to get in the first round but two cancelations resulted in good fortune for me). Vy communicates well, makes paying easy, and has a good pick-up system. I just placed a request for a Father's Day cake, which--if you know AT *at all*--is a massive testimony to how tasty Vy's cakes are. Thank you for sharing your gift with Atlanta, Vy! And if you haven't tried her made-from-scratch sweets yet, hop to it!

    6-inch succulent Ube cake

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing Vy's extraordinary craftsmanship firsthand when I bought the 6-inch mini succulent cake. Her attention to detail is truly remarkable and she shows her care from making sure that she has your color scheme down correctly (as well as offering suggestions when given very little to work with) and showing patience for a customer who may have little to no idea with what he wants. And when I finally unboxed the cake everything was picture perfect; the detailing of the flowers were unmatched, the guilding was wonderful, and colors were well balanced. In addition to their impeccable attention to detail and artistic flair, I loved Vy's decision not to use fondant. The cake I had the pleasure of enjoying had a flawlessly smooth buttercream exterior that not only looked visually appealing but also enhanced the overall taste experience. Speaking of flavors, Vy's skill in balancing them is truly commendable. The distinct sweetness of the ube, paired with the moist cake layers and complemented by the not-too-sweet buttercream, created a taste that delighted my wife and I. It was evident that Vy possesses a deep understanding of flavor profiles that won't disappoint. Overall, I highly recommend Vy for anyone looking for a special cake.

Got my wedding cake through Syndesi Desserts and it was fantastic! I'm still dreaming of the cake. It was delicious and moist! So good! The flavors are amazing. Vy is soooo easy to work with. She is so nice and accommodating. After our consultation, she sent me a draft and it was everything I wanted and more! The guests really enjoyed it. I got so much compliments about the cake! Highly recommend!

Vy has been making my cakes for 2yrs now for a reason. Her desert taste amazing and you can tell that she puts her heart into all of her creation. This particular cake was made during her maternity leave. Like this amazing woman literally found time after having a baby just less than 2 weeks ago to create this amazing piece of art. She is truly one of a kind and I highly recommend her if you are in GA. I have also traveled, 8-9hr drive, with one of her cakes and it held up really really well. Her desserts has never disappointed me and I will continue to remain a loyal customer for as long as I am still in GA. Cake review: always moist even after a few days, not too sweet, perfectly dense, fluffy and creamy buttercream also not too sweet. Overall perfect cake!!! Did I mention that her customer service is exceptional!!!!! She really does take the time to make sure she creates what her customer envisions. I have reached a point where I just allow her to create and I always love it. Thank you for sharing your gift with my family and I.

Vy is an extremely talented baker and a true artist! Our friend recommended her for our wedding last past weekend, and our guests are still raving about her cakes. She made us four varieties, including ube with cookies and cream, matcha with strawberry, earl grey and passionfruit, and lemon blueberry. The cakes were absolutely delicious and moist, and our guests loved the unique flavors. Several people have said it was some of the best cake (not just wedding cake...cake, period) they've ever had. The cake design was so stunning. Our wedding had an art deco flair, and Vy really ran with that. She made the cakes look so classy, and even went the extra mile by adding beautiful details like handmade sequins and geometric shapes. We highly recommend Syndesi Desserts! It was truly an amazing experience working with Vy.

I'm not gonna lie, after watching "In the Heights" recently (which I highly recommend if you…read morehaven't seen it yet), I was craving some good Puerto Rican food. Some of my favorite things I enjoyed growing up in Hawaii were pasteles and gandule rice or arroz con gandules. I've noticed in the Atlanta area, just like with Filipino restaurants, there are not a whole lot of Puerto Rican restaurants. Yes, there are a few, but even so, not many that serve pasteles and arroz con gandules regularly. I realized this by calling around and coming up empty-handed a few times recently. In any case, I had never tried Dominican food before. I don't even know of anyone Dominican back home as Hawaii has much more of a Puerto Rican population. Long story short, I was excited to find that this Dominican restaurant serves pasteles! I never would have known if I hadn't seen the menu on Uber Eats, so I'm thankful I came across it. My husband tried calling in a phone order for two chicken and two ground beef pasteles but we were redirected to just come down to the store. I believe this is because they are made in a big batch ahead of time (as is custom) and are sold on a first come, first serve basis. So we went down, no problem, and picked up the pasteles. My hubby went inside the store, which looked fairly small - so best for take-out. He picked up the food with no problem at a reasonable price. I was so, so excited! I made some homemade gandule (pigeon pea) rice for the first time ever to go with the meal. Not sure if they serve any from the restaurant itself, so I made my own in case, since it's my favorite side dish to have with pasteles (which if you haven't figured out by now are basically Puerto Rican/Dominican style tamales that use green banana/plantain/cassava or other ingredients as the masa instead of corn base, along with the seasonings and oil that make them distinctive). To my knowledge, this dish is rooted in Latin-Caribbean Christmas tradition, so that's probably another reason you don't see them as often year round outside of Hawaii or certain places. So I was extra happy to find some in June! Unwrapping pasteles or even tamales is always truly like Christmas anytime for me. If you've had good pasteles or tamales, then you know the feeling. These pasteles from Antojitos were huge - some of the biggest I've seen! I had never tried ground beef or chicken pasteles before. The ones back home are usually made with pork, olives, and other ingredients, so it was cool to try another variation. Both were very tasty and flavorful, cooked perfectly. I'm not sure which one is my favorite yet of the two, I'd have to try them again, since this was just my first time. Overall, I was very pleased with the meal and even though they weren't the exact kind I grew up with, it's awesome to know somebody even sells them nearby me year round. I may have made the gandule rice, but to make pasteles is a lot of work, so I appreciate not having to do it and being able to support local business too! I'll definitely be back and maybe try some baked goods next time also.
