I had no idea what to expect, and I was without counsel to guide me because I couldn't afford it. I supplied her with the information she asked for, and then she headed off to talk with my almost X. When she returned, she sounded so hopeful that things were going so well and quickly. She told me about the two issues my almost X had, and I told her my feelings about the issues (without emotion). She proceeded to blast me with how the judge would find me in contempt or sanctioned (I googled it later and still don't understand what she was saying) in court, and I'm a horrible parent, and my almost X has provided for me all these years. Jacqueline went from 0-60 in two seconds and told me she was done mediating. My hopefully almost X is getting a disproportionate amount of assets and not paying spousal support for our 24 years of me building his best life because I just need to be done. This process is killing me. She has NO idea other than my X's word what my life is like. My kids and I have been in counseling for over 2.5 years working through the abuse and trauma we've lived in. She thinks I am a terrible person because I should let him back into my life. She said I am manipulating my kids and turning them against their dad. She doesn't realize I am raising kids that are not told what to think. Jacqueline looked like she was getting hives on her neck and hands. I only talked with her for five-ish minutes tops in two short conversations and the other part of the hour she spent with my X. I hope I didn't cause that reaction. I do wish I had picked a different mediator, one that didn't leave me feeling gut-punched.

When we showed up to court, Jacqueline was not prepared, was not familiar with my case and I had to help her with her courtroom address with my details while we were waiting for other cases. After that hearing was lost I paid her again to retry the case in court and to pursue my case, she mis-filled the paperwork with the courts, had to get an extension not once, but twice, on one of these occasions I went to court with her and she didn't even recognize me, not when I started talking to her in court, nor when we were sitting infront of the judge, she didn't remember me until after docket was half way through argument from the other attorney. After we got a new date for the hearing, I waited for that date, when I was at the court I get a call from her Assistant saying that I would be getting a refund and that my case was no longer able to be heard or tried, I asked what had happened and Jen told me she would contact me later and hurriedly got me off the phone. Took over 10 emails, 7 texts, several phone calls, facebook messages and other means to actually get my refund, over 2 months it took them for this office to send me my money, and they will not tell me what happened, after talking with another attorney that is familiar with Jacqueline I was informed that she had dropped my case and paperwork so badly in the court system that it was out of Statute of Limitations. To this day Jen and Jacqueline will not return a call, nor inform me what happened, I found the whole process with Jacqueline to be very unprofessional same with her assistant and do not recommend her to anyone.

I asked Envision Law form for a new attorney at least 2 times and on the third time they refused to help me I fired Ms. Utigard and her firm. They did end up refunded me a portion of my fees, but I am left with no legal representation and my case has still never been before a judge in 7 months due to attorney delays and ineffective counsel. I would strongly suggest representing yourself over hiring this attorney or firm.
