Cute little place on the corner but wait until you walk inside... What could have been a pleasant lunch in a cozy atmosphere is immediately destroyed by the emotionless faces of the staff behind the counter. Without a greeting or a smile, they will take your order and get back to their own thing while you are left to figure out whether to wait at the counter or you are allowed to proceed to the table.
The disappointment doesn't end there. The poke bowl arrived with at least 3-day old salmon mixed with a strange combination of vegetables (beet and radish?) and lumps of rice and quinoa.
In my attempt to question the quality of the food, the manager took a piece of salmon out of the fridge and shoved it in my face exclaiming that it was delivered in the morning.
The momentary sign of emotion quickly faded away as without saying a word she took my plate away without an apology or offering my money back.
I'm writing this, as I'm enjoying a fresh yoghurt and cappuccino at a coffee shop 200 meters further on. read more
