When I came to fix 1 nail, the owner was nice but the nail tech was very nasty. Couldn't find the color. Honestly if your prior tech does a bad job salon should be understanding and fix it. This review is only for the eyebrow threading by Rupa. Came here on my lunch break for a quick threading job upon referral of a coworker. Rupa has a very small room in the back of the nail salon , with a single chair . As this was a weekday afternoon, there was no wait and I walked right in without an appointment. She was great, and applied adequate amount of pressure. No tugging or clipping on my skin, which should always be standard but now is a plus! The job was quick, as she was done in a little over 5 minutes. While she did not offer any lotion or gel afterwards, I saw that she had it available on the counter. I had absolutely no redness afterwards, and was able to go right back to work. Maybe that's why she didn't offer it. Eyebrow threading was $12. Will definitely return. read more

If you are getting gel polish removed avoid this place. They shaved off not only the nailplosh but the top layer of my nail. I see the dents in my nails and they are so painful and weak. I got home and put on nail strengther and all my nails burned so much I had to remove the polish. My nails are all red and in pain from how much they shaved off of my natural nail. Did powder manicure twice here in my first two experiences at this salon which is only a few mins away from me and I just found them on Yelp. The pricing is great, $35, just wish they had more rare color options! Soak off is free too which is a plus. I got converted to powder by them because my nails kept getting weaker from regular gel and powder is healthier and last longer. So far liking it although the process takes longer. Only one star off because sometimes the table and tools can appear unhygienic and messy. And the wait while you soak is really long. But I've only been here while they're busy. I showed up on a Friday night and got a regular gel polish. It was a great experience and I was fully satisfied. I thought I found a new nail salon! By Tuesday night, four days later, the gel started to chip from the edges so I took pictures and called the salon. I spoke with Tina first thing Wed morning and she asked when I could come - I told her Sunday and she said OK ! (I work and I can't make it there on a weekday). I offered to send her pics so she doesn't think I'm crazy and she said to send them to her which I did. She said okay ! I then texted her on Sat to ask if I could come on Sat instead. She said yes. I show up and I said I was the girl who texted her. She said oh it's you ! I sit down and the lady who did my nails last week comes to remove my gel and I also tell her how my polish chipped by Tues. I proceed to get an entire speech about how it's better to get powder gel because no one gets regular gel anymore and how it's better the more you do regular gel because apparently my nail bed was too clean ?!?! So I get convinced and thought ok I'll just pay the difference. NOPE. I go to pay and remind Tina that I'm the one with the issues and she acts confused and then finally oh okay then you just pay $30 instead of $35. So I get a $5 discount because my gel last week was terrible and I had to re-do it again ?! She then tries $28 the price of the gel polish she wants me to pay - and finally she's like $25- just pay that. I'm not haggling ! I told her that when she ask me when I could come back I assumed she would cover me. She replies that she would if I came back earlier (when I told you specifically I would come Sunday and you said OK ?) because she could have fixed it ? Does the attached pictures look fixable ? The thumb one chipped halfway a day later ! And she also then said that she didn't know it was me when she had my polish removed - meanwhile I texted you in the same thread ! It isn't MY job to keep track of your text messages. Beyond annoyed right now. In the past week and a day I have spent over $100 at this salon - I spent $30 today and $34 last week on my hands.... $64 on nails because they cannot get it right. Had she told me straight that she would charge me I would not have came back and spent additional money doing my nails. This is NOT how you run a business and not how you keep customers. Not sure they this place has such good reviews. This is not the worst gel manicure I've ever gotten by it's far from good. She got polish on my skin and the light pink is slightly see through. First, this place is tiny and loud and so crowded. Far from a relaxing place. I'd say it was medium to not clean. The manicurist kept making a comment about my short nails which obviously I know I have short nails so stop bugging me. I have come to this nail salon so many times and every time I come there it's only gets worse. I will no longer put up with the disrespect and rudeness for basic quality service. I came a little earlier then my appointment which was at 11:30 for a soaking. They didn't begin my soaking and made me wait until 11:30. Soaking should last l thirty minutes, I soaked for an hour. Once that was done I proceeded to ask my nail tech, idi for French nails with a clear pink or a nude pink and she was only giving me an option of a white pink for an under-base. She begins to get an attitude with me and tell me to find it myself. While I was looking she asks me to go and sit in a different chair so she can take her next client WHICH WOULD HAVE MADE ME WAIT ANOTHER HOUR!? instead of helping me pick the base I asked for. as if I was the one holding her up to begin with. I made it easy for her and just picked a solid nail color to at least leave with semi nice nails for my two week trip out of the country. As she is doing my nails I notices some were being filed crooked. I pointed it out to her and she became more irritated with me instead of fixing them. As I go to pay they tell me it's $58??!!?. I told the lady I didn't do French I did a solid color (French is 60$). So when the lady told me $58 I was confused. I usually going to then for tip with gel powered and I always pay $48 and that's with soaking included. She started up-charging for things I never paid more for. For example this salon never charged for shape And she goes on to tell me $5 for shape, 5$for soaking, extra for tips. I know their prices and she points to a sign which states nowhere none of these things. I payed and left and will never be coming back. I recommend you avoid this salon. if I could've gave them a negative rating I would've. read more

I like how it was close to home, I did not have to wait long to get seated, good color selection and overall satisfied with the wear of the dip nails. However I was not satisfied with the shape of the nails - my nails ended up looking too "flat" when I wanted more of my natural curve. I had also come here previously for a pedicure service. The water temperature in the tub was only lukewarm, not close to being hot. I would have preferred to have hotter water when getting my pedi done. They were using regular nail clippers when they should be using nail nippers to cut the nails. They were not thorough when cutting nails as I would have liked, and the small details were overlooked. The foot filing was breezed through, and they did not get in there to clean underneath the nails. read more

Me and my mom have been going here since it opened. A lot has changed since then. They are definitely busy so it's always best to make an appointment in advance.. I usually call a couple days or a week in advance. Edi is amazing with powder gel, I only go to her. As for pedicures I've pretty much been attended to by all of their workers and it's pretty standard overall, nothing to wow about. There was a lady there; Coco, who was amazing but I haven't seen her working there in a while. The reason why I haven't gave 5 stars is because it's apparent that the cleanliness factor has gone down. They were much cleaner before but I guess because they're so busy it's harder to maintain. Nonetheless this is important and they should take the extra time/money to keep the place clean. They also changed their seating to stiff uncomfortable dinner chairs at their manicure tables and there's less seating if your waiting to be attended to. Another reason is the past couple of times I've gone it's been uncomfortably hot, I know it's the beginning of June but we've had some hot days! Please make your clients comfortable and crank up the AC. Especially for ventilation at least. I've had to ask for them to have the door open. These women definitely work hard and have some tough clients. Fixing these small issues would make them the best nail salon in Queens! read more
