I had a lot of lower back and shoulder pain, and a lot of muscle tension in my neck from sitting at my computer all day. At each session, my physio would massage the problem areas and then show me exercises I could complete that would help ease the pain. I've got to admit the massages didn't do much, but what was helpful was the ongoing exercises. My physio wrote down the exercises that were specific to my back problems, and this provided a long term solution to my pain. If you're an existing customer with Queen St Physiotherapy, they offer birthday vouchers that you can use for any of their treatments. I used mine for a deep tissue massage and the masseuse was amazing; she pulverised muscles I didn't even know existed--best massage I've ever had and I'd be going regularly if treatments weren't so pricey.

They're on Cordelia St, but they do have free undercover parking, so if the street parking is full, you should still be okay. The physio I saw was great, I definitely felt more confident with her than with my previous physio, and on a recent booking I had to see someone else as my usual was sick, but it was no problem. She was all on top of the issue and I ended up having an extra long service at no extra charge. If you need a physio in the South Brisbane area, i'd head here.
