My car was broken down badly and as a student it is extremely difficult to stay without a car. T and S is the best body shop in the whole state. They fixed my car within couple days and they did excellent work on it. Sunny and Tipu are the best they provide excellent service to all the customers and the prices are reasonable. I will refer anyone to them in Baltimore. If you need your car fixed please go to them right away. Same old problem, if I did it will I have time before I have to pay to fix something else? I had a sputtering engine and took it to the dealer, after a failed attempt to fix it, with a mechanic downtown brought up more problems. Dealer wanted $3500 to get the MOST important stuff done. $3500??? I NEEDED a second opinion, and I got one from Tony. He took the dealers info and went to work. Later I get a call, telling me not only was the dealer right, but he would add some future items which helped me make a better decision! Somewhere down the line, I would have to consider rear brakes, a radiator and other smaller repairs. All of which made the dealers cost decision of $3500, a lot more. The car was an 02 and it ran the course! I donated the car to make a wish, and then got a n-used car for a bit more then the repairs cost. Thanks T&S! Your honesty was worth it! read more

Both Tony and Steve are awesome. If you wanted to be treated like a human being by two of the most honest individuals around...you found your place. They helped me out a year and half back with my daughters VW Tiguan when she was at college. Nothing worse when you can't be there to help your kid, but they treated her and car fantastic and put my mind at ease. Now if anyone knows this particular car, they also know the issues that come with it. It's a first year production and has way more issues than you think a 'reliable' car would have. A replaced water pump failed (which has happened to multiple owners across the country) and Tony and Steve stood by their work. You can't ask for better people to work with. These guys are definitely the best mechanics I have encountered in Baltimore. They do everything diligently. They are always true to their estimate and if they go over the estimate they only charge you the estimate to maintain their word. I have a 98 Bimmer and I let them do everything for my car. If Tony says he can fix it he would do it. If he thinks he cannot or he can't pin point the diagnostic then he tells me honestly that he cannot (or it isn't his cup of tea) and suggests me specialized BMW shops who can. He is the most honest mechanic I have ever met. He lets me buy my own parts (which I browse online a lot and get the best deals) and he only charges me the labor (though he gives me a cautionary brotherly warning of buying OEM parts only so that they don't fail). He even tells me that if he buys the part himself (he always buys OEM parts) he makes a 5-10% profit on original wholesale price to count for his efforts of search and transportation and some meagre profit. All shops do it but atleast he tells you that. He tells you exactly what you need to fix immediately (or the car would be hazardous to drive) and what needs to be fixed eventually and lets you decide. I often wonder how he makes profit by being so honest about repairs as he often ends up losing repair hours by being this honest. But I guess, his honestly draws customers always back to him if they EVER have a problem. I send ALL my friends and acquaintances to him for repairs as I know he will never give them a dishonest or conceited estimate. I try my best to get the word out of these guys' honesty and hard work out to society, because breeds of honest mechanics like them are lacking in Baltimore. This is definitely the best first place to take your car as you can be 100% satisfied that you will get a honest diagnostic and estimate. read more

They take the time to explain everything that they found, break it down by price and give fantastic advice on what absolutely needs to be done now for safety and what can wait until later. I sell parts to repair shops....I have learned which ones to trust. T&S is ALWAYS my first choice when I need car repairs! This week, I took my 26 year old Mazda to them for a couple of problems in the driver's door. In less than a day, they fixed the door handle & window motor using skill instead of parts!! When another shop would have probably charged me almost $1000 for parts & labor, they found some small issues with my old car, tightened a screw on the door handle, lubed the window motor, and now both work like they did 26 years ago!!! I went with the Yelp reviews and brought my Bimmer 540i in recently. I couldn't believe how much time that both Steve and Tony spent explaining things to me over the phone, in person, and hand writing out the repairs and recommendations. I knew I had a starter issue, but whether it was just the starter or the flywheel concerned me. So I wanted a place that could accurately determine and address either issue. Harder to find than you would think. After getting doublespeak and the runaround by other companies, the reviews on T & S spoke of a company capable of handling any issue they uncovered. I'm happy to report those reviews are correct. Steven of T&S auto at 5119 Belair Road was honest and upfront when it turned out replacing the starter did not resolve the issue, provided me the price on replacing the flywheel (unfortunately never a cheap option)and offered to waive his fee on replacing the starter. That is just unheard of customer service!! I of course could not let him do that, so I paid him an agreed upon discounted amount. Just a fantastic level of service. Needless to say when I scrape up the funds for the flywheel replacement these guys get the gig, as well as having earned my business, as well as my recommendation to anyone seeking auto repair advice, to see these guys first. Great customer service, and Highly recommended. A good and honest mechanic, is a hard thing to find, if you are reading this review, my experience says you've just found one. read more

Tony and Steve are 2 really good people who happen be great mechanics and they also sell used cars. I got a rave review from a friend and we went to them looking for my next car. Tony fixed our VW GTI that was throwing 11 engine codes indicating a number of complex problems. Maintenance on the vehicle had been deferred, and the problems had multiplied. Tony confessed to be perplexed by all the problems, but he came up with a strategy to identify the root causes and to start the repairs. The work was done when promised and right on the cost estimates. It took two rounds of repairs to eliminate all the problems, which I considered a minor miracle, but the car was running sweet when he was done. T&S is a small, unimpressive shop, but they did great work for us and I highly recommend them. This is my first ever Yelp review--I'm not big on social media. I am creating a Yelp profile to write this review. That's how much I appreciate T&S. T & S Auto is the best auto repair shop in Baltimore. They have helped me out countless times and kept costs super low. There were a few days where I was sure I'd walk out with a scary bill and it was hundreds less than what I was expecting. These guys are the real deal. Steve always takes his time explaining each repair and is very considerate and approachable.
