I've been coming there for 15 years. I don't know if they got new staff new cooks or new attitudes but I purchased a sauté small rice told her five times on the phone in five times when I paid the money well done on the shrimp shrimp came out white she took it back. Everything came out burnt. She had a attitude Gave me my money before I could explain and I bought a fish sandwich. The lettuce was brown. nothing on the sandwich straight dry normally the sandwiches come with tomatoes, lettuce, and tartar sauce. Nothing she also gave me my money back as well. Don't let the appearance of this place fool you, it's definitely got some of the best fried seafood I've had. I got a medium chinese shrimp fried rice and a 1 pc fish and 3 pc shrimp combo, all for $16! I the prices have come up a lil bit since they've opened but it's still affordable. There is a bit of a wait for your food ~ 10 mins or so but it's worth the wait especially seeing how busy it is but it gets to you piping hot and crisp. My catfish was big as the entree side of the to-go box and the fried shrimp were whole and large, unlike the small butterflied versions you may find else where. The catfish breading was nicely seasoned and there wasn't a hint of a "muddy or fishy" taste you'd find at some seafood places. Same with the shrimp. The shrimp fried rice was delicious, although the pieces of shrimp were somewhat small the flavor of the rice was delicious. It's slightly heavy on the scallion onion taste but it's such a great flavor. The grain of rice was smaller than jasmine, similar to vietnamese broken rice plates. read more

It's a pretty simple place for some fresh seafood and chicken wings to go. Just remember that it is cash only! On this visit I had the sautéed shrimp fried rice. The small will last a single person 2 days in my opinion or for me anyways good value and flavor. I also had the chicken wings and . I don't understand these positive reviews about the rice. I drove a long way to try this and I'm just confused lol this was not good at alllllll. Not at all! The rice taste like mass production rice tht was cooked the night prior and kept in the rice cooker to keep it warm for weekend orders, the shrimp ( though decent in size) tasted like they were DRENCHED in salt& soy sauce thrown on the grill with chopped onions & laid on top of the day old rice. It featured a slightly salty, short-grain rice that was crumbly, not sticky. The rice paired well with the onion and garlicy shrimp. I confirmed with the order-taker that the fish on the fried fish meal was actually catfish. The large size of the fillets stunned me, but I learned that the thickness was not uniform with some sections sliced paper thin. The 3 pc fried oyster and 3 pc fried shrimp plate includes 1 slice of white bread slightly toasted, French fries and a lettuce and tomato salad with French dressing. It was a classic combination. The seasoned fries were still slightly crunchy in this plate. The crunchy 4pc fried chicken wings includes seasoned fries, which were slightly limp due to being in the brown bag. They taste similar to the ones you get at Mambo's and other seafood places, though maybe a little saltier. The Shrimp fried rice was still a little crunchy even with the 30-40 minutes commute home and a little salty from the seasoning. The rice appears to have been coated in eggs to get the yellow coloring and stir- fried. The stir fried shrimp and onion mix were placed on top. The Fried egg roll had a thick wonton skin, which is my favorite, but the cabbage smell is very strong. It comes with one packet of duck sauce. A few soy sauces and ketchup packets were thrown in the bag too. The interior is clean, well lit and only has seating for customers waiting on their orders. There are no tables to eat on. There are frozen fish and shrimp on ice at the front. The outside is a little run down with free range large dogs (calm) walking near the auto shop or parking lot. A woman was asking for change at the next doorway. It was pretty busy at 4pm on a Tuesday as there were customers before and after me coming in. The food took about 15 minutes. Heard this place had good shrimp fried rice. It was good and salty, very similar to Timmy Chans. I understand it is a small restaurant and they are doing their best, but they were not enforcing social distancing with customers. The restaurant was packed and everyone was shoulder to shoulder. There was a 20 minute wait for one plate of food and they ended up giving my plate to somebody else. I got mine a few minutes later. I'm not mad at this place, but there's better out there. I have tried multiple places around the city and Oh my goodness the fried fish, fried chicken wings, and the rice was so flavorful and cooked to perfection. The fried rice is a sautéed rice which gave the whole dish a signature taste that's different from the rest. I hope they invest in a better shopping strip when available, because looks can be deceiving. But past the esthetics the quality of the food was amazing.
