I haven't been to a hair salon in years...I have always got a friend or myself to cut my hair. I never was comfortable walking into a salon with all the women staring at me and I never liked barber shops. A friend suggested I stop by with him during his appointment to meet Miss Tammy Dunday...chat and see if I would feel comfortable at her little shop just south of where I live in Dukedom Tennessee. Tammy is a sweet lady that makes you feel like you've known her for years...as a matter of fact everybody in there was very friendly. I went in for a hair cut today. (by appointment only). There sat the "Mayor" (since his retirement was honorarily appointed)...and two very nice ladies (that were all raised within walking distance)...getting their "weeklies"...we were talking like old friends that hadn't seen each other in years...while I was waiting...I started lying of course...and everyone in there was lying back!! We were laughing so hard when Miss Tammy's husband Dennis walked in with food from "Debbie's"...he didn't know what to make of it. It didn't take long for him to join in on the lies too!... I didn't realize my hair was done...until someone called her out the door to see something in the driveway...My hair was done very professionally ...very affordable and with a really enjoyable conversation...I recommend the drive to Dukedom if you are anywhere within a 15 mile radius...call first...by appointment only...worth waiting! read more
