We have been going to Martinez Tax & Bookkeeping for at least 15 years. This past tax season was an…read moreabsolute disaster. Wynell was hostile and rude, when SHE MADE THE MISTAKES. She accused me of not providing all of our tax documents, when she literally had our 2024 tax return for reference and she did have everything needed to do our taxes correctly. Turns out it was a software issue that did not carryover our information from the previous year. Once the problem was resolved, She actually refused to speak with me and had me speak with another employee to get our tax returns amended. We are getting letters from the IRS stating we owe money. I have to now deal with the IRS because of the incompetence of Wynell Martinez. I can't believe we paid $500 for her service. Will never go back and will never refer her to anyone again.

But this time I feel compeled to do so to help others…read moreavoid the same. 3 1/2 WEEKS ago I made an appointment with Thomas Cook, owner of Five Ciities, CPA. In our initial interview I made it clear theat time was of the essence in filing the return because I was going to make an offer on a home and needed to get the financing right away. He said there would be no problem. BUT three and a half weeks later NOTHING had been done. He went on vacation twice, never returned phone calls and was non responsive to emails. Yesterday, with onlty 72 hours to get my loan submitted I picked up my portfolio looked on Yelp for recommended CPA firms and took it to Rohr & Associates. My appointment with Daniel Rohr was at 2:00. By nooon TODAY he had my return completed!!!! Needless to say I highly recommend that if you need to get things done in a professional, courteous and timely way do not go to Thomas Cook. Save yourself the aggravation and go to Rohr, a family owned and highly Yelp reviewed CPA firm.
