I visited this store with a broken iPhone 6 Plus which is on T-Mobile's installment plan. Since I have had this phone for about 19 months, it is out of warranty.I was ready to get a new phone on their installment plan but the Store Manager (Oscar) offered a better alternative. He made me aware of T-Mobile's Phone loaner program - which loans a phone for free for a month while you get your original phone repaired. I followed Oscar's advice and took the loaner phone and also got the iPhone repaired. T-Mobile pricing is like the Walmart of phone services because prices are always getting slashed! So, with so many offers in blaring hot pink, I couldn't help but take the big bite! Well, I actually took a nibble first. Due to bad service from other phone providers (except for Verizon), I've been skeptical to switching over to a unknown zone. But I sure do like the idea of saving money for more service and it was a good time to make the switcher-roo. Unfortunately, I didn't know ANYONE with T-Mobile service, not one. I tried reading through all YELP reviews to see if the quality of data/voice was any good but all the 1 star reviews I read were based on poor customer service. That's not what I wanted to learn! I wanted to know about the phone service itself! With no one to rely on, I decided to try out their Test Drive Program. I signed up via web, then 2-days later, an iPhone 5s showed up at my door! I was able to use this for 7-days with unlimited data consumption, unlimited voice consumption, unlimited text...all for FREE! That's pretty confident of T-Mobile. I did everything I could to 'break' the data from flowing in. On my Bart ride to work, I streamed DramaFever soaps from Hayward to San Francisco. The data broke when we were under the water in the Bay but only for a few minutes, but once out of the tubes, it resumed again. I checked in via Yelp and Facebook without a glitch. That's every Bart stop from Hayward to Montgomery to 16th/mission. I checked in at establishments in San Mateo, San Leandro, Oakland, Fremont, Union City and San Francisco. I talked at home for hours and didn't get a single dropped called. There's nothing more embarrassing than dropping calls in the middle of a conference call! The nibble was good and I'm ready to bite hot pink! I was pleasantly surprised at how fast and efficient the phone service was. I returned my Test Drive phone and decided to sign up ASAP. What I did was buy my phone from another source, then bring it into T-Mobile and got hooked up! The rep that helped me was friendly and set me up quickly. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. Best part, I now have unlimited data, unlimited voice, and unlimited text for $50! I'm no longer incarcerated with Verizon's, high priced, 2GB data, 450 voice and 1000 text. Woo hoo! Freedom! Feeling good! Pink is the new black for cell service! Notes: Nice shop in a nice mall. Plenty of parking. Dead data spot at Kinder's BBQ Deli in Fremont (that's the only spot I found, so far). She fetched the manager to help me with my inquiry, and oh my god. She was condescending and pretty much had an attitude throughout the whole ordeal. No greeting, no nothing. Maybe I just got spoiled by the level of service in my usual t mobile store, but this was just...ugh. As much as I use yelp to see reviews, I never take the time to leave one. 5 stars is much deserved for the service I was provided at this location. I spent several hours on the phone with customer support trying to order phone upgrades for my husband and I. By the time I got to the store I was livid and in total bitch mode. Wow! i have been with another wireless carrier since for the last decade and with confidence I am switching over me my husband and my sister. I was helped by the assistant store manager John Datuin. Here is the thing I personally HATE going in cell stores, auto mechanics. whatever type of business setup where I feel they lie or push you to buy more than what you need. But John was transparent and gave me all the information I needed to make a decision. The reason why I was interested to begin with was the promotion they were having for 4 lines for 30$ each but having tried to switch before I had horrible service on my phone but John assured me with increase in towers I should have no problem. Not gonna lie I was hesitant but his professionalism and straight forward attitude i gave T mobile another shot. Now it has been a full week using T-mobile on my cell and I love it!! I love the binge on feature (where I can use You tube and Netflix and other streaming services without touching my data) and the package price is ...well you cant beat 30$ a month! I recommend this store for any business which requires mobile voice/data services, because their staff will earn your business with excellent customer service and will save you time. I bought 4 new lines today and will be switching all my existing numbers. Everyone at this location made an effort to be courteous and helpful, and Alexys helped me confirm my preferred devices worked on the network where AT&T would not say for certain or attempt and Cricket cost me $75 non-refundable dollars for a 'no'. I try to do things online but sometimes you gotta go into the store. I've had my third visit in a year and I couldn't be more pleased. Alexys handled my somewhat complicated plan (too many damn relatives on my back) and sorted some things out. With the help of her manager (nice Asian lady) we even rearranged things to find me some savings but boost my account. My parents have been wanting an upgrade for some time and I decided to upgrade them to the iPhone XR. I came in the afternoon and I was helped by Dominique. I had my mind made up of what I wanted to get them and Dominque was really patient with my request of paying off their current devices and setting up financing the new devices. I came here with my mom to change our service because we were being charged more than most people we know, there was a really nice guy in the front and we were all sorted out and ready to change the service details so we could pay a normal amount not $300 a month. Then the manager (Nando) sees that we are almost done and we aren't getting screwed so he comes over pushes the nice guy out of the way and starts up-selling us, my mom asks him questions and mind you English isn't her first language but she speaks it darn well, and he starts talking to her condescendingly when she doesn't understand the details of what he's trying to up-sell us. He upset my mom so much she was almost in tears, I believe he didn't want us to pay less and just made us so upset we'd leave without altering the details of the account. When we tried to go back to the nice guy he sent him in the back and whispered ($170 pssh) to him. He was very thoughtful in letting me know of the new capabilities that the SIM cards offer with their built-in adapters. He made sure that each phone connected to the network and operated properly. This post is on behalf of both my parents and me. After having Verizon for over 10 years, we finally decided to break up and stop getting ripped off. After checking Costco for their Black Friday deals, their line was so long that we decided to go straight to the T-Mobile store (which we realized was necessary to switch plans anyway.) we got there upon open and it was empty! Our rep, Gregorio, was very thorough and answered all of our questions two or three times. In addition to a great deal, he offered a number of perks that he could pull for us when canceling our contract. He continued to give us options and wasn't pushy at all. Truly awful experience! You'd think a new store would try to make customers happy. I was appalled by the lack of customer service. Went in because I had been waiting almost a week for my SIM card to arrive. Told them I had been without phone service and was desperate. Some of the gems the ass ociate and manager uttered, 1. "We can't do anything about online orders. Call customer service." 2. "You should have come into the store. We can give you a SIM card, but it'll cost $15." 3. "It's UPS's fault if the SIM card is taking so long to arrive." I've been with my old phone carrier for 20 years and was looking forward to a change. Who knew my local T-Mobile store totally doesn't care about getting new business? Is it because online orders don't put commission $$ in their pockets? I asked for a reason to move forward with T-Mobile. I asked for a month of service free or at least be prorated for the week without service. They told me, "We definitely can't do anything about that. Call customer service." I told them I couldn't call from my phone, not even to T-Mobile customer service. The only reason I am using T-Mobile now is I DID call customer service, using my FRIEND'S PHONE. The lady was completely polite, professional, and apologetic for the store's attitude. I was just previously at the Tmobile store in Newark Blvd but I left because their staff performance were very disappointing...Minutes later I decided to drive to another Tmobile store located in Fremont. First of all, I want to give credit to "Annie" who was very professional not only over the phone but also in person. She answered all my questions and more. The staff at the Pacific Common location greeted me with a warm smile. Each and everyone of them were very attentive to their customer. Annie was friendly and kind. She even gave me a coupon and information of a place that repairs cracked phone screen. I came to the Tmobile store for one thing and that is to upgrade my brothers phone and that's it I don't know why I had to drive to a further place to fulfill my needs. I so regret no seeing others comments about their experience in this store. I completely agree with few folks who said "IF THEY COULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS....THEY WOULD". I came to this store because my phone was not charging and i think it was time for an upgrade. When i walked in, i was greeted by Annie, who was thee nicest person i think ive ever met. I had my 4 year old inquisitive daughter with me, and Annie and her co-workers Meryt and the manager, were all so nice and helpful. Annie called every single other Tmobile store to find the phone i wanted. We didnt end up finding the phone, so i settled for a different one. Then they all spent over 3 hours trying to transfer all my thousands of photos and videos over to the new phone. After 3 hours, my daughter started to get restless, so they offered me to come back the next day to finish transferring. The attention and patience they gave my daughter and myself was so overwhelmingly refreshing. They made the whole process so easy. "Jocelyn" the store manager at the Pacific Commons Store #2817 is horrible... WORST STORE EVER! This manager needs to be replaced! I came to the store on October 21st to trade in an iPhone4 and take advantage of the TMobile offer of "Best Trade-in Value" as seen below from the TMobile web page and numerous press releases, where TMo pays $50 better than the competition. I presented evidence of a $200 rebate from Verizon and asked your store manager to process that with the "Best Trade-in" value offer. Not only did she refuse to do so, she would not even offer me the matched value from ATT nor even the value from the TMobile web page, and she claimed that to do so would be FRAUD, saying that it had to be done at the same time as the purchase. This clearly a bait and switch - claiming that "gift cards value promotions" are not the same as a "trade in value". I became so frustrated with my interactions with her that I simply returned the iphone6. Additionally she tried to charge me MORE than the written amount on my paperwork for the restocking fee. FRAUD again! When I wanted to complain to her manager, she only provided an email to "Chaless Clayton" which was invalid (as to protect herself) I did verify the spelling of the email with Jocelyn so it does appear that she deliberately deceived me. I will do my business at a different store. Certainly if TMo doesn't rectify this, I will change carriers. Jocelyn has a belligerent attitude to customers and needs to be replaced. read more

Bought an iPhone6s for my daughter in May. The sales guy 'highly recommended' the $40 screen protector. He said they will guaranteed it. (He has the same protector on his iPhone & he slapped the phone on the counter to show me the protector was worth every penny.) Within a couple months, there're a couple of cracks on the screen protector. I went in yesterday to try and get a new protector or my money back. The manager said 'no can't do' 'cos the protector is working as advertised, 'cos the phone screen is not cracked. So, I asked if they would replace the phone screen if it does crack, she said 'no'. read more
