The owner, Joe, called me with a genuine and respectful manner to discuss the situation. He also…read moreshared his intention behind founding the service, and offered a free repair for the broken bezel. I appreciated his sincerity and the way he takes responsibility for his work. During the conversation, he also provided helpful and professional advice regarding my other tech-related concerns. Overall, I felt that he genuinely cares about both the service he provides and the people he helps. Because of this follow-up and support, I am revising my overall experience to a 4-star review. I also hope the company's culture continues to reflect this level of care and professionalism and continues to support both customers and staff. --------------------------------------- Previous review -I brought my MSI laptop to this shop for a lid repair. At the time, there was a small crack on the left side near the hinge, and I was worried it might get worse , but the screen bezel was intact. I was initially told that once the part arrived, they would notify me to bring in the laptop, and the repair would then take about a full day. The part arrived on December 30, 2025, I dropped off the laptop on January 6, and picked it up on January 9. -After I got home, I turned on the webcam to prepare for a meeting, and noticed that the screen displayed a blue image. I contacted the shop immediately. I was asked to bring the laptop back for further inspection, but no explanation was provided regarding the possible cause of the issue. -Since the shop is about an hour away, I asked whether a remote diagnosis could be done first to better understand the situation. I was informed that there would be a charge for that service. At the same time, I looked into common causes of this issue and found that it can result from a protective film not being removed during repair. However, this possibility was not discussed. -If a likely cause had been communicated, it would have helped me better understand whether an immediate return visit was necessary. Without that information, the situation was unclear and required additional time and travel to resolve. -More recently, about four months after the repair, I noticed that the bezel near the hinge has cracked, even though I have been handling the laptop carefully. This area was not damaged prior to the repair. Given that the hinge area is a high-stress point, I am concerned that the repair or reassembly may have contributed to this issue. Overall, my experience was disappointing. While the initial interaction felt welcoming, it was followed by a noticeably self-protective approach when issues arose. Although the repair was completed, I encountered additional problems afterward that required significant time and effort to resolve. Based on this experience, I strongly recommend that others ask detailed questions about the repair process, confirm what testing will be performed, and ensure the device is thoroughly checked at the shop before taking it home. In general, I believe that clear communication and transparency are important in building trust with customers over the long term.

I can quickly spot great or poor customer service and professionalism. My work was extremely high profile focused on live event production. Very stressful. As has been said before by many others, this company has bad customer service. Far worse than the…read moreservice is their dishonesty. Astound is a good name for these people. The low level customer service and the way the company bilks customers is astounding. They claim to be giving you a five (5) year price lock. In my case, two months later they change the name of your promotion to Promotion for Life. They say that this means that only the taxes can go up if they do, but not the price for the service in my case, $40.00 with $5.66 in taxes for a total of $45.66. Do not be fooled. All their promotions, regardless of names, can be renamed and repriced at any time. They actively promote Autobilling, which means they take the money directly out of your bank account each month. It is not worth getting a $5 reduction to have these crooks get access to your bank account. Once you provide them with your bank account number, they can help themselves to any amount. Prices with Astound change at the drop of a hat. They do this by claiming that your plan's name was changed. What this means is that they hiked the price. Am actively going to see if I can find a better deal elsewhere. These people are nasty and only interested in bilking customers. These are seasoned scam artists.

The lady then says she can't help me and that she can't do anything about it. She tells me to call customer service or to go back to the store that I got my original sim card from. (Literally got the sim card like 5-7 years ago. She really expects me to remember where I got the sim card from?) she was literally clueless and just didn't want to bother to help me and was pretty dismissive. Anyways, I went to another tmobile store a few blocks away and they were helpful and help me reset my sim pin. Literally what they did to reset my pin after verifying that indeed the account belong to me (showing them my state ID & etc) they sent me a temporary code to my email associated with my prepaid account. The rep there connected my iPhone with the stores wifi so I can see the temporary code they sent me via email. Overall only took about 5-10 mins to do. The tmobile reps in this store should do better and be better trained.

I had Kenneth help me (he's the best in every sense) with a multiple line plan. I was able to later text him with a billing issue and he helped me out right away. The store itself is pretty well kept too. You can check out the latest smartphones from Apple, Samsung, and LG before you make your purchase decision. The employees are nice, honest with you, and really patient. My whole ordeal took more than an hour and the whole time I was constantly asking them questions and making specific plan requests, they never got tired or showed the slightest sign of annoyance. This is my preferred T-Mobile store now, even though I have other stores that are way closer to where I live. Just don't confuse this store for the other smaller store that's 2 blocks away. This one is bigger with a much fancier storefront, and it's located on the 86th St. If you're curious, just walk in start talking to the people there, they don't mind answering questions.

Spectrum service is overpriced and increases abruptly within months. My T-Mobile service cost $ 40.00 per month as opposed to $ 84.00 at Spectrum. My treatment at this store being helped by Gene was was beyond anything that I have ever experienced at any store. He spent at least 3 hours unrushed with the purchase as well as assisting in setup of the phones and gateway router in the store. This saved me from going home to struggle with the process by myself. He was professional friendly and very knowledgeable about all of the products. He not only helped me with my purchases, but, assist me in getting a Lyft car service to go home because there was a torrential rain downpour when I was leaving. I would give this location and Gene 1,000 stars. I would encourage anyone to use this location for superb service and professional demeanor . My experience was so good that I went there to spend a few dollars on a flip phone and left with 2 mobile phones and a router . I spent about $ 1300 . T-mobile made an excellent choice in hiring this man. I would also like to commend the young lady that worked with Gene at the store. I don't remember her name. This particular location deserves unlimited accolades for outstanding service.

Sounds like a great deal right? I went to the T-Mobil store on Steinway and decided to do it. Came to find out that the person singed me up for a more expensive option. $100 a month. I asked before I left weather I will get a paper confirmation or anything physical Ana he stated that due to COVID everything is paperless ( which I completely understand) so he told me to wait for an email. I had to be on the phone with at least 4 different customers service representatives in order for me to get this fixed. It's a shame how one bad worker can ruin the image of a company.
